    They usually try to avoid interacting with people and aren't aggressive, but all that knowledge gets thrown out the window when one of these gets spooked and runs for the nearest shadow like Usain Bolt. Nothing can stop the gut reaction of leaping two meters into the air and screaming.

      @@bricktop. There's nothing wrong with them. It's you who has a problem. Arachnophobia may be common, but it is a pretty stupid phobia, due to the sheer irrationality of it. People should educate themselves more on spiders and actually TRY to overcome the phobia, because spiders do more for our planet than stinky, fleshy giants with opposable thumbs who need a wake up call. (Yes, I'm describing humans. We're much more dangerous, toxic and hideous than these harmless and useful creatures; The only one with an issue here is YOU. Go correct that, please.) Btw, I used to have the WORST arachnophobia, until I decided enough was enough and it was affecting my actual life and I couldn't even SLEEP, so I did research, educated myself on all types of arachnids in general and learned to appreciate and respect them. Also, I think they're cute now. Be mad about it. :)

    • @anon515
      @anon515 6 месяцев назад +1

      because spiders can end your life, so many people are preprogrammed into fearing spiders

    •  5 месяцев назад +4

      @@anon515If you put aside a couple exceptions that confirm the rule, spiders are among the least dangerous species to humans. And they're pretty useful too.
      It's really just the uncanny apparence, our brains have a hard time figuring out what their morphology is all about, so people who don't know any better imagine all sorts of nonsense about them.
      Jumping spiders can help a lot to overcome arachnophobia, because they look and behave a lot like mammals, unlike other spiders, so it's easier to feel empathy for them. And the other great thing that works is education.

    They seem to know not to go onto your hand, I've noticed this with several types of spider. They don't like to come into contact with you if it can be avoided. Some are different, each one has its own personality. But most spiders I've tried to handle, they just seem to know when you're trying to pick them up, and they just want to be left alone.

      Just a wild guess:
      Spiders are extrem sensitive to vibrations and using this ability to locate their pray.
      They might feel your heartbeat through your skin, and your hands are always slightly shaking.
      It might mess with the spiders senses.

    • @ReptilianTeaDrinker

      @ttery goney They won't going to waste their venom on you, don't worry. They use that only for prey. They have to preserve their venom, ya know? You're not prey, so it's useless to use it on you and they generally have no interest in humans and would prefer it if you just left them alone. They only bite out of fear.

    • @ReptilianTeaDrinker
      @ReptilianTeaDrinker Год назад +1

      @@tidybloom1844 Yet, still unlikely to bite you unless you decide to pester them. People who get bitten by them probably deserved it, to be fair. lol Plus, the venom still won't kill you, even if they do inject some of it. (Unless you are allergic to bug bites or the venom, that is. Then yeah, it might kill you then, but otherwise, it's highly unlikely and most people make things a bigger deal than they actually are.)Though, again, they would most likely dry bite you in order to preserve their venom, which is valuable to them; They use it to take down prey. They don't care about humans, unless we suddenly try to poke or grab them, which they have a right to retaliate. If someone tried to poke or squeeze me, I'd bite them too! I'd do worse, in fact. lol Anyway, spiders would rather you left them the hell alone and kept your titan sized hands away from them. They tend to run away, rather than bite and only bite if cornered, which you cannot blame them for. That is the fault of ignorant humans.
