Ive found its way more important to exhuast dialogue when talking to new characters. Talk to them again until they are repeating the same thing. Sometimes they reveal very helpful info or mark your maps and stuff.
2:26 fun fact about the shrines. If you see a treasure chest next to the name, then you have 100% completed the shrine. If you do not see one, then you left a hidden chest behind.
The recall with ultrahand is very useful to cheese certain dungeons where the next floor is above link but out of reach, all you have to do is place for example a wing and then move it up and then down, after which you do recall, hop above, wait for it to go up and you just ascend
When you activate recall, all physics bound objects actually freezes and you can actually freely move around during that time, though all energy consumption by objects will still occur, but you can theoretically freeze the contraption you are riding on by 'aiming' recall, and wait until it's recharged (like for a balloon).
I’ve been spending hours in the underground, trying to find the light sources, and I had no idea that they were directly below shrines, very good to know. Thank you very much.
@Curtis Siebold I believe there's about 100 light roots. There's over 130 shrines. Most of the ground level hyrule shrines are copypastad right above light roots, I haven't noticed any coordinated with sky island shrines. I'm sure there's not 100% match between ground level hyrule and the depths, but ALOT is shifted down below from the surface. All land borders make their way down there, the gigantic separation between two sections of the depths follows perfectly on the canyon where the forgotten temple resides. Certain lakes, rivers, canyons make their wake down to the depths. Some enemies (mostly lynels and hinox) are spotted in the same spot x,y coordinates.
@Curtis Siebold there are 120 light roots, and 152 shrines as of right now. We can assume the difference in pasting the locations is probably involving certain puzzle overworld shrines that you need to do something for them to appear (crystals and all blessings) and the sky islands shrines.
17:47 the critical cooking last from 11:30pm to 12:15 am. So even after the Blood Moon scene is over, you still have 15 mins IN-GAME to get that critical bonus.
You can Unlock the Amiibo function as soon as you complete your first Shrine on the Great Sky Islands but the only things it gives you are Material Drops and the Paraglider Fabric. The Armor Sets are locked to you reaching Hyrule. The Weapons Unlock after you do a Certain number of Shrines.
Gibdos aren't completely gone if you complete the story line. They can still spawn in the depths, the lightning temple, caves and under sand pits around Gerudo Desert.
I already felt overwhelmed , but also excited. Barely scratched the surface of this game. I have died a lot exploring, but enjoying it. Starting to reveal more of the story.
Using the scope mid air actually slows down tike more than bullet time, so you can easily see what's around you without worry about hitting the ground.
Fun fact about the cherry blossom trees. Any fruit works. I didn’t have an apple when I first reached one, used a spicy pepper instead, worked perfectly
If you’re like me and want to mark stuff but also don’t want to lose altitude so that you can paraglide to places afterwards, then use Bullet Time by pulling out your bow, don’t shoot anything and THEN pull out your Purah Pad. That way you keep the slo-mo effect whilst marking stuff. Meaning that you lose less altitude but have more time to see your surroundings.
@I *Splat* wow, that's another tip I didn't know. In botw, I usually ran out of bullet time/stamina because I was too busy lining up my shots to the eyes. I should try it today if I remember.
@@Surfer669 it’s the head that gives the headshot critical hit, not the eyes specifically. If you shoot them anywhere in the head it does a critical hit
Hestu doesn’t leave Lookout Landing until certain story elements have been completed. You can keep him there as long as you need to go upgrade your inventory. 19 weapons, 20 shields, 14 bows.
21:17 Hammer & Sledge type weapons are for breaking rocks. Easiest way of doing so is circular rocks. Horriblin horns make nice hammers as well. Axe type weapons are for chopping trees. Not as easy to make as hammers, but look for triangle shaped rocks or if you want a stronger axe, Bokoblin boss horns
When you get access to Balloons, you actually can ascend very high if you have multiple types of flame weapons or shields to make the balloon rise. This means you can use a battery to use a single flame emitter to hit four balloons and rise up very very fast, and it'll only drain the energy for that one flame emitter. You could even simply use a flame emitter on a shield and shoot it up to manually control it. With rockets, you can place rockets on a floating platform (not attached) and activate the platform. Then for each rocket you 'attach' it automatically will activate the rocket and launch you up, but the rockets on the platform will be stable and not fall off, allowing you to grab another and attach to keep going up. Not sure about going forward since the items do fall off unless you keep them attached to something that isn't attached to the contraption but is physically restrained. Also note that while you'd like to put fans on a wing contraption to fly, it actually is additional weight. What you want to do instead is put a balloon with flame emitter on a Wing contraption so you can gain height (the balloon has buoyancy, so if it's center it will rotate and flip). When you don't have any more vertical speed you will start to glide, and when you want to rise, you use flames again.
7:10 tip: Use this to clean launch fan wings. build the thing. Ultra hand hold it in the air and away from you. Count 2 seconds. Pull it back towards you, set it down, hop on, hit rewind. When it's close to where you had it hovering turn on your fans, wait for them to speed up, then cancel the rewind to take off
i made a 105 damage sword using a clean gerudo simitar and a white maned lynel saber horn (gerudo weapons double the fuse attack power of anything attached)
there is a sidequest in the great plateau started by the hylia statue there. it will have you going to the mine in the depths. btw the great mine where you get the auto build is directly under the temple of time in the great plateau.
I'd recomend making gloom recovery and health recovery seperatly... gloom will always start to eat away your last non-gloomed heart, even if its empty. even gloomed enemys will attack your empty hearts first. Unless you tend to get fall damage, there is basically no need to to be at full hearts all the time you can turn poes into money at quite a decent exchange rate. 150 poes to 600 rupees... just sell the armor you bought at any shop, you can rebuy them later.
Better to fuse a ruby or sapphire to a shield to stave off the cold or heat, then you can still use whatever weapon you want. Also, if you don't have Gloom curing food handy while in the Depths and you need to heal, place a Travel Medallion, warp to a Lightroot to cure the Gloom, then you can continue where you left off.
If you’re chopping trees and you need a good ‘axe’ throw a Bokoblin horn on. This will make the weapon a ‘reaper’ which can damage the trees that attack you. This means it counts as an axe, and make them great to cut wood
I would go in blind but then I get to a point in the game where I say “if only I knew sooner” lol but everything hits different when your the one playing

Wow im an idiot the falling rubble from the sky i knew you had to do something with it and i figured it was one of the abilities but kept thinking grab it and love it somewhere or maybe i need a tool i dont have i didnt even consider rewind lol
I found it funny that I can turn a mob into firewood. Using an axe, of all things. Also, the boss boboklins are incredibly stupid. I had one get behind a cage and get stuck, so all I had to do was blast it with fire.
Tears looks better then botw but I started botw again last night to see and I have to say the guardians were so much funner and the satisfaction of getting those perfect shield deflects is too good. Plus the dread of that functioning guardian chasing you in hyrule is still amazing.
I have found two light pods in the depths, that do NOT have a corresponding shrine above. (That I know of) They are both in the depths below The Great Plateau. However, they are directly below BOTW's very first shrine (Magnesis) and the Rejuvenation Shrine (Beginning of BOTW) And there is an interesting as hell place under The Temple of Time.
@@outlitxx actually they are right above them lol. I had not got the shrine detector until about shrine #55......had no way of knowing they were there lmfao

In fact, the last Zelda game I played was a game on the Gameboy Color and I was stuck in the first area attacking chickens, and they swarmed & attacked me back. 😂
Go through the memories and Divine beasts and definitely come back to when you have a grasp of the story and lore if you're going to breeze through to play TotK. BoTW deserves it's own reverence and attention to detail. I wouldn't compare the two at all as TotK is an extension of something that already began and has it's own identity

Hestu will move to the village on his own at some point as i never met him before finding him there
Phillybeatzu is the best totk guide youtuber
I haven't played this game yet. Still working on BOTW...Did Hestu get his maracas stolen again by bokoblins? LOL...I remember when I first found him near Kokoriko village, and it was only like 3 low level Bokoblins, but it was hard has crap to beat them that early in the game.
I really wish i had known these sooner :( could've saved me so much time and make the game so much more fun
You were so close to greatness if only five more tips
Great video by the way🙌
9:47 which fabric is that?? Looks nice!
I have 1 useful tip about botw: when u collect every chest in a shrine at least once, looking at a shrine in the map will show a chest next to its name
Me: have school tomorrow 😠
Me: Playing totk at like 3 am 😎
Worth tho lol
I have found two light pods in the depths, that do NOT have a corresponding shrine above. (That I know of)
They are both in the depths below The Great Plateau. However, they are directly below BOTW's very first shrine (Magnesis) and the Rejuvenation Shrine (Beginning of BOTW)
And there is an interesting as hell place under The Temple of Time.
Yeah, all shrines have lightroots beneath them, but not all lightroots have shrines above them.
There are two shrines on the great plateau
They might be in the sky islands
@@outlitxx actually they are right above them lol. I had not got the shrine detector until about shrine #55......had no way of knowing they were there lmfao
Looks so cool can’t wait 2.30 hours to buy the game
Ayeeee

I subscribe to your channel ❤
This is game is so deep I don’t know if I’m ever going to finish it 100% 😅
Thanks for sharing awesome tips i subscribed to you. This game as so much it make the old one feel Barn and boring and empty.

I don't understand why the bloodmoon still looks like a certain Austrian man with a silly moustache. Am I the only one who sees this?
@PhillyBeatzU as somebody who is stuck in the early game who just started this game on my switch a few months back and I feel like I’m making virtually 0 progress I feel like these tips should really help out
Nice!
Any tips for me?
Philly or anyone.
I jus bought BotW cuz I keep hearing it's amazing and also pre-ordered TotK.
I kno nothing about LoZ.
In fact, the last Zelda game I played was a game on the Gameboy Color and I was stuck in the first area attacking chickens, and they swarmed & attacked me back. 😂
Get through the Game and Hurry Over to TOTK it’s 100x more fun
@PhillyBeatzU
Alright, sounds good! 👌🏾
Thank you!
Also, is it mandatory that I do the BotW DLC as well before starting TotK?
Go through the memories and Divine beasts and definitely come back to when you have a grasp of the story and lore if you're going to breeze through to play TotK. BoTW deserves it's own reverence and attention to detail. I wouldn't compare the two at all as TotK is an extension of something that already began and has it's own identity
@@MirageUchiha not really, the dlc is just adding stuff to the main botw game, but if you finish botw and like it i highly recommend the dlc
@@MirageUchihaDLC is good, not required tho
Idk how anyone could possibly run out of arrows in this game. They’re literally everywhere lol I already almost have the max. What I need is more bombs
I see Fairies were made just a bit less OP in this game as they only restore 5 hearts vs 8. At least I THINK it was 8 in Breath of the Wild if I remember right.... Maybe it was 7?
it was 5
Can you tell me where you purchased your TOTK sweatshirt?
Can't believe you found all these tips out and posted this video when the game only litterally just came out
That's not what happened, but pretty wholesome of you to believe that
I just could not find hestu out in the wild... i had to go to the lost forest to get to him. at that point i had about 50 seeds
First
Great video as always!
