- In this video, I had the team over at Boston Mechanics LLC chip tuned my 2016 Mercedes-Benz C300 (w205) for more horsepower and more torque. Also, they gave me Crackle POPs and Bangs version of the tune & were able to disable my start stop function on my car. #W205 #C300 #BostonMechanics

Thanks Flexx. Just took my 2016 c300 to them for some work. Easy going guys and reasonable prices. I paid $700 less than the dealership for just one part of the job. Definitely take you MB here for any type of work they do it all.

First thing I do when I get into my E300 is push to start, click up to sport + and start/stop button off.

Not sure yet. Cars started to sound pretty aggressive after the tune and high flow cat. Not too loud but it’s now throaty.

been keeping my car stock, almost got the amr tune but decided i didn't want to mess up reliability. still on the fence as i plan to keep this car long term
Nothing wrong with that. A clean stock car is always great and reliable. I have to mod my cars or else I have nothing to talk about on my RUclips channel. Lol

Hey quick question, is the 10 added hp limit you speak of apply to only ecu tuning or would something like an aftermarket exhaust that adds HP be detrimental to the engine?
Ecu only (the way the fuel and air mixture works along with timing)

Thank you for the amazing video. Bro I have c300 2015 with stoke exhaust, when I wanted to do the same tune, they advised me to do down pipe because the pops and bags tune will heat up. So can you please let me know if this is true?
Yes. That’s why i upgraded to a hi flow catted downpipe.

It’s a beta version I’ve been testing out for awhile now. Super easy to install with no programming required. It’s not ready yet. Soon though and I’ll release the video.

is the c300 2019 facelift more desirable for tuning with the 9G gearbox?
Depends if you like the upgrade lights, digital gauge cluster, new key, new front and rear bumpers, and the gearbox. I’m fine with my 2016 especially for what I paid compared to a 2019 facelift and I still have tons of leftover money to make my car unique and mod it.
I've read that the 9G is more reliable but its just a temporary replacement for the 7 cause it wasn't smooth and refined as they wanted. But the 7 is quicker (more desirable) and supposedly what Mercedes wants to go back to.
my start/stop button just doesnt work at all. Hasn't in months. I like it cause it's the sound of the engine starting, and it's better than just idling

It’s an aftermarket digital gauge cluster that I was testing on my car. It’s not final.
I got the tune on my c300 and the pops aren’t as loud, do you have stock exhaust?
As stated in the video, I have a stock exhaust but I recently upgraded to a tornado tuning high-flow cat before I did the tune.
hey everyone & flex, did i miss a video on where he swapped out his dash for a digital one? Been wanting a digital dash.
Another question, are the 2016s reliable? got one myself if they are reliable, prob would go with the same tuner as flex but if they aren’t reliable, might as well have my fun before it breaks down lol.
No. You didn’t. I’ve been testing it for over a year and been through 3 of them cause none on the market are good enough for me to put into a full video yet. I’m still working with the supplier and fixing bugs and issues and designs.
Can you replace the dash with the OEM digital one, or it’s not compatible???

I don’t. Boston Mechanics can tune your car but you would need to remove your ECU and ship it to them. They tune it and ship it back.
So do have to add all the parts to do a tune ?
Tune can be done anytime. But if you want pops and bang, you’ll need an aftermarket cat or else you’ll go through your stock cat real quick.

How many miles have you got on your c300 I just got one recently wondering how good it is reliability wise mine has 75k btw
About 60. I bought it with 30. Mine is a 2016 so there’s not a lot of major issues except crankcase vent line had to be changed. It’s a common issue on the 2015+ c300. Wish Mercedes did a recall on it because it happens a lot.

Yeah…I don’t really keep my cars past like 80k. Usually at 100k, things start going like alternator, fuel pump, etc…I just don’t wanna deal with them. Plus I’m usually done modding the car way before I even come close to 80k. I would replace it with another car for RUclips and start the mod process all over again for you guys.

It won’t cost thousands or $1,000 at this shop.

No clue. We don’t have c200 in the USA so I don’t know the details of it.

Add a snow meth it will add you maybe 60 hp

You did all that with computer,no need to do phsical operation like opening the engine
The computer of the car controls fuel and air mixture, timing, and more. Most cars are “de-tuned” from the factory so it can meet all these emissions requirements and to keep the car quiet and smooth. Chip tuning unlocks all that limitation but it can only do so much before you have to start adding stuff to the engine or opening the engine to upgrade internal parts.
