@@METAFish yes pour it back into the culture. And I use empty tetra colored granules containers because they fit my funnel perfectly. I have a bunch of these set up and could feed thousands of fry if I wanted. Much cheaper and easier than baby brine shrimp. Price keeps going up on those. Great video thanks for posting
Thanks for doing this. I appreciate the tip about using filter sponge to harvest the vinegar eels. I'm going to be hatching out some ricefish soon, so is very timely. How long do you have to let a new culture sit before you can do the first harvest?
Glad it was helpful! As long as you have a decent amount of vinegar eels in the culture you can add a sponge and harvest some the next day. The great thing about the cultures is they will continue to make more as long as there are still eels present. Some people have many many cultures because they use so much and it does take time to grow their numbers.
NICE INFORMATION THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Thx for sharing 🙏
I like to use a funnel and coffee filter. Pour into the filter and then squeeze the filter into a bit of water and syphon to feed.
I'm going to try this Leam Thanks! Do you pour the vinegar solution back into the culture bottle?

Also I just poke a couple holes in the lid with a thumb tack or needle. Will last a lot longer than paper towel
That's a great tip, will definitely try this!
Will adult guppies eat the eels or are the eels to small? Thank you for your help.
Vinegar eels are too small for adult guppies to bother with. Newborn fry I'm sure will eat a few
