I think also as a viewer, I can see and feel the vibes you have when you go travelling and document your experiences. I can sense that you are just being yourself and staying true to what it is you love doing and that authenticity protrudes on to the viewer making you so so so enjoyable to watch. I have had family issues and struggles with anxiety and depression for a long time and especially since i came back from my year in Korea back to Germany I have felt more lonely than ever in my life. And your videos do EXACTLY what u hope mark! I am sitting here and I feel like I am there with you. Its crazy because I’m probably about 2/3 years younger than, been watching you for years (silently) and weirdly about the same time you started I just started taking myself solo traveling, just last year I took myself to Budapest, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, Venice, Milan, Zurich and Frankfurt - people question why, or do I get lonely, the thoughts do pass through my head when I’m travelling alone but I also find I am truly my happiest, wandering around new places, meeting knew people and having experiences I’d never have if I was waiting for someone to do them with, watching your videos makes me feel like I’m not odd or lonely for doing it, I’ve actually just booked to go to Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki later this year! Just thought I’d share haha! Keep being you 😊

Oh mark ❤️ I had to go no contact with my family and I don’t have anyone to ring when I need to ask about a problem with my washing machine or to celebrate good news or to go home to. There is no home there for me now. It’s VERY hard. Im doing well but sometimes I need to escape the grieving and zone out to your videos so hearing you say you see me, and you see us that don’t have anyone means the world xo

I had very bad anxiety for a while, I couldn’t leave my flat at a point for fear of being judged. I felt so alone. But you and your videos, and your solo traveling showed me it’s okay, you gave me joy, made me feel less alone, and showed me it’s okay to go out alone, no one’s judging me.. and now I can leave my flat, my anxiety is minimal. And I really think it’s all thanks to you! Never underestimate how special you are, this ability you have to connect with us through the screen is not something everyone has ❤️❤️ thank you for helping me so much, sending you a huge hug.

This solo travel series is brilliant and really helps my homesickness. I’m English but live in Australia. We have moved from UK to Australia back and forth 5 times since 1991. This time we have been here 6 years. I haven’t seen my family and friends in UK since 2019 because of the Rona and now the air fares home are ridiculous 😭 I have friends here but I’m still lonely. I miss my family and my true, old friends from school. Thank you, Mark 🙏🏻

I’ve started staying on my own in places around the country and honestly it’s one of my best decisions it’s liberating when u need an escape. At first dining alone is scary but then it actually becomes enjoyable!
You should take a little sketch book with you, doesn’t matter if you can or can’t sketch cuz the rough ones are always the most charming. Then you can sketch the things you see, the buildings, rivers, dogs sat by there owners at dinner or even write down thoughts. Would be nice to look back on and good for times you want to be off your phone x

Hi Mark, I just wanted to say that this video made me so happy and brought back so many happy memories for me as my Nanny lived in Eastbourne which is very close by to where you were and we use to go on lots of trips out and one was to Alfriston, the Seven Sisters, Beachy Head, Burling Gap. All around that area. So thank you for that! Also those White Cliffs always take my breath away and also have a few tears when I go back there since my Nanny died. They are just amazing and remind me of her. Your so inspiring, thank you again ❤

I just want to say how grateful I am for these solo travel vlogs . They inspire me to get outdoors even when that seems too overwhelming, they inspire me to be present and practice gratitude even when my thoughts are spiralling and most importantly they remind me that I don’t have to feel lonely because we all have ourselves and if we learn to enjoy our own company and explore, visit new places or just be with ourselves , the loneliness can only be replaced by vulnerable beauty! ❤ I hope 2023 is the best year yet for us all!
