  • End Outlet Disposer Kit into a double bowl sink with a garbage disposal. Finalizing the draining of a garbage disposal installed in a double bowl sink can be completed simply with an end outlet disposer kit, readily available at your home center or hardware store. Keeney's plastic tubular parts can be used in existing brass installations.

This install will result in a stinky drain for lack of a slope on the drain to disposer .Better to put in an elbow at the disposer(1/4 inch drop from sink drain)rather than level. Learned from experience.

There is one obvious mistake that RiderXXX pointed out: The slope of the pipe coming out of the garbage disposal should go downward instead of upward. All of the horizontal waste pipes need to decline at least 1/4" per foot, but the slope should not exceed one pipe diameter. The current configuration on the video shows an incline from the disposal to the sink. The tailpipe should have been cut a bit longer and the fitting moved a tad lower to allow the pipe from the garbage disposal to slope down. A dry fit of the pipes beforehand would have helped.
I had to install a garbage disposal and fix the hack job on the plumbing under my sink before.
Just a note on the next steps, make sure there is enough room behind the trap to have at least 2 pipe diameters between the end of the trap and the vent. There is a minimum and maximum length for the trap arm. On a 1.5" diam pipe, the minimum is 3".

Forgot to mention a rag would be required to wipe off the ceiling whenever you run it.

Thanks for showing this. I think I'll try to make a slight downward slope from the disposal to the drain though.

if you look at the sink from the front of it the disposal does it always goes on the right side of it or it can also go on the left side?

Doesn't the garbage disposal push water up the other sink drain when activated?

+Ches To Yes like mine, that's why I'm searching for the correct procedure.

+Ches To theoretically that "tee" is a baffle tee which baffle encourages the incoming water from the disposal to shoot downward. Also scary that when they installed this it didn't slope downward, yikes! Some disposals seem to have a "discharge elbow" also I guess you could/should attach to that instead of straight in, though some say you can either use it or not, FWIW.

Mine has a piece sticking out of the 1st piece of pipe you put in. And it's like an inch or 2 long with a hole at the end and no cap and nothing goes to it. Can you explain what I should do or what it is? If you even know what I'm trying to describe. I know It's probably confusing as I dont know how to explain it to well. Theres a small piece of pipe, above the "t" and about an inch or 2 below the bottom of the sink on the left. That 1st piece of pipe you put in on mine has this thing sticking out all by itself. No cap, nothing goes to it, it's like a vent or something. But it sometimes leaks water when I try to use this disposal cleaner stuff from lowes. Other than that piece sticking out there, I installed the disposal EXACTLY like yours and it works perfect. Except mine has that stupid little piece protruding from that 1st piece of pipe you put in on the left side and yours doesnt. Sorry this is so long!

If I am understanding you correctly, I believe you have a branch tailpiece. The little "piece sticking out" is for a dishwasher connection. Do you have a dishwasher? Here is a link to an example of a branch tailpiece. catalog.keeneymfg.com/plastic-tubular/branch-tailpieces/1-1-2-x-1-1-2
