The only BMWs that get the crazy pop and bang tunes are the turbo generations. The N/A V8s do it on their own with a straight pipe and it’s not unnecessary
I like the video, got a volvo s80 v8 as well, got it for 9,5k, in very good shape. Original dutch car, so genuine 315.000 kilometers. Still drives as new. I did have to change the dynamo and carbattery as it died together, sadly it made me pay almost 2000 within 2 months or ownership. Even though it cost me alot, I am still very satisfied with the car. The stock exhaust sounds good enough for me, but changing it with a button temporary would be nice to install. I actually don't like the round shaped exhausts, I saw a russian guy put a larger one which looks exactly like stock, but it even fits perfect and looks more stock than stock lol. I might send the link. I also didn't tint the windows, I don't want it to look tuned, but still classy. I bought original volvo shaders with clips for the rear windows and window behind. Changed all lights on outside besides stock xenon. Tip.. on aliexpress you have good led bulps and if some plastic parts are broken like the lower front grill, they have for cheap price to buy. I did that and outside looks almost like new. Good car and I think even though the maintenance is expensive because of small space, the car is reliable and can handle alot for a long period.
Noone wouldve known the car had driven above 300k kilometers. And the car also tells me who is a real hater or not. Genuine people compliment the car pretty quickly, because you dont see a nice volvo s80 v8 everywhere, like we have here mostly audi, volkswagen which are basic cars for me: every corner at the street you see one.

Would love to get my hands on one of these, but right now in sweden there are 2 for sale, 12k$ and 14k$ respectively. How much did your exhaust cost and what brand mufflers did you use? Sounds a lot like my S80 V8. I cut my exhaust after the Y and before the rear diff...
So is it tuned? or is just the exhaust? Sounds like its just exhaust and the pops and bangs are there cause the cats are removed and the 02 sensors are trying to compensate by adding more fuel so it doesn't run lean.
Is this possible on a 99 Lincoln Continental with the transverse 4.6 dohc, is there any pics of the underside or a video showing it? And the exact resonators and cats and headers? I just need everything in description of what this exhaust is this is genuinely amazing
not the same engine so it won't sound the same unfortunately. but if you go to my channel and look up the original S80 V8 exhaust video when we did it everything is there
@TankGarage how many miles when you bought it and how many miles have you put on it, it always seemed so cool except for the fact it must be hard to work on
Very underrated car but such a beast. I've been on the fence about getting one but I fear if anything goes wrong it'll cost an arm and a leg. I know the V8 is well built but I am worried if in the off chance something does go wrong. Any word of advice? Clean build btw.

Because it already burbles with an axleback system but no pops
The least restrictions the higher the chance to get pops and bangs! Usually a Tune can help fix that

It was around 2000$ to have it fully done from A-Z. Everything is from vibrant performance

Stock tune and no the 02 sensors aren't reading faulty since I didn't touch the primary cats these are all caused by less restriction in the exhaust
