It wasn't made by Rockstar, Nor their decisions. it was Take 2's terrible decision to include GSG in there. although i feel bad for GSG for all of the hate, T2 shouldn't had let a mobile game company take over the oppisate of a 'remaster'. Rockstar has potentional (Had more potention in 2013) to redeem. although T2 has no chance tbh

Much better than what the paid developers did, the GTA fan modders just do the unthinkable in a short amount of time, just because they are dedicated to it, unlike Rockstar themselves
It’s more the grove street games part of rockstar but the main dev teams behind rdr2 and gta v are good
modders are ungrateful little bitches who do a good job of turning the fans against rockstar which is sad because this is the same company who made the ps2 versions...........is that why people became modders so they can shit all over Rockstar games hard work? because from all the harassment rockstar games get it makes GTA Modders heartless human beings

They're the itch you never knew you had, Just radically change the feel of knocking peds with a car or a melee weapon, They're damn realistic for a 2004 game engine. Madleg's done a wonderful job. Plus, If you type "Puppeter" after you have installed the mod, CJ gets force powers, It's insanely fun to throw people on sloped roofs and watch them roll down.

After watching this video I am f*cking done. The future of gaming needs a model where modders and diehard fans can be involved in the development of the game right from the start. Only people who actually care about the game can make it look and feel stunning.

@@SDSypher Exactly. That is the one stupid mistake that was made. I often think of like Rolls Royce re-releasing their most legendary classics, but outsourcing the manufacture to a "known to be usually crap" company like Vauxhall or Peugeot. It was obviously going to end in tears right from the start.
I do like the idea of "only extremely trusted, and vetted" modders & fans being involved in certain areas of production, but I also fear that this could go very badly if not regulated & moderated extremely closely with extreme care. Theres huge potential for a game that would've been great to be completely derailed by some collective "voice of the people... But the people... Are retarded" - That guru who looked like the Shah of Iran on drugs.

This already exists for some companies. Bethesda collaborated with mod authors when setting up the release for Skyrim's Anniversary Edition. They sent out copies to well known Mod Authors early so the mods could be updated in time for release or soon after.

But instead they decided to threaten the modders with lawsuits and removing the mods from the internet.
most of these (if not all) are ports of mods for the original games. its cool but the credit goes to the original creators of the mods.

@@beforedrrdpr Brother you need to be a software engineer to build a graphics engine from scratch and then make a whole game. Modders do a fantastic job at doing exactly that, moddding, they don´t change anything at core level, just the surface. Creating from zero it's a different story

Really loving the mods, Rockstar really had no love in making the definitive edition. This really improves the feel of the game and looks.
4:38 Although San Andreas was originally supposed to include Rusty Brown's as another food chain restaurant since we have the unused interior from the CRASH missions, the original vanilla game actually featured three inaccessible donut shops throughout the map, non of which were actually called Rusty Brown's. This particular donut shop in Los Santos where you get the missions from CRASH was called "Jim's Sticky Ring", which you can see on the building itself to the right of the front entrance, but the actual giant donut shaped logo on top has always just said "Jim's Ring". This is one thing Grove Street Games surprisingly managed to get right somehow lol.

No matter how awesome these fixed are, the only thing holding me back now from getting the Definitive Edition GTAs is the lack of lit taillights during night time. Who the hell drives with only the headlights lit and not the rear?

This brings back some sweet memories, I used to spend hours installing and testing mods in SA.
The funny thing is that despite T2's efforts to issue take downs to modders, this will probably increase sales of the game. Not sure how to feel about that actually...
The modders are doing an excellent job as always and I appreciate the work they have put in to fix these games but I still hope people wont buy the definitive editions. They would be dead and forgotten without the modders and if that's what T2 really wants well... let's see how it works out for them. Maybe then they will see the value in modding.
If that's the case, the modder will be seen having trouble fixing this game and not getting paid anything, while the developer will actually get a lot of money without doing anything. So don't leave it like that...
I'm sure that it also increases sales because there are blind simps for fans out there.

It looks and definitely will play much better than the vanilla game! Shame there isn't a mod that restores the deep orange LS sunsets and filters seen on PS2
LOD config is a little rough on performance but yeah, this should be a much more enjoyable experience now. As of right now, the best option for the PS2 colors would be ReShade.

Surprisingly the modded version is far away better than the original one. Maybe modders is doing too good job, or in the other hand, the developers not doing so well as expected.
