damn I'm crying, I'm 31 now. I never missed watching the home alone movie every year trust me on this every year since I was 5, for some reason every time I'm hearing this I'm getting emotional, probably all the good memories when I was a kid is hitting me hard. Now life is tough and I'm kinda lost but still I'm hopeful that everything's gonna be fine. If you are in the same situation, let's appreciate this season whatever situation we are currently at.

This song always reminds me of my last Christmas with my mom when she was very ill with cancer. We watched the first Home Alone together as a family, but it was a bittersweet Christmas. I remember when Kevin's mom ran to meet him and hug him. Its been many years since my mother went to meet the Lord Jesus, and I miss her hugs and kisses and saying I love you. I still have the memories of family Christmases together, and will always cherish them. Thanks for this exquisite rendition. It is beautiful. ❤

I can relate to Kevin in a way. How much he misses his family reminds me of how much I miss my mother, who passed away August 26th, 2018, from pancreatic cancer. It tore a hole in my heart so much that I still struggle to make peace with her death. She always loved Christmas and having it with the family. She, unlike my father, always had so much Christmas spirit. The lyrics of this song lets me know that somewhere in my memory lies the joy of a Christmas. That joy actually was having it with my mother. Now, I have to have Christmases with the family without her. It was bad enough losing her, but what's worse was in the time we had together in there being problems which I had tried telling her and all and all what happened and the discussions and all, my father was the one who made the problems between me and her, even though it was never her intention or intent. My mother had never intended for any of it to happen at all. If I could ever have anything at all in my life, it would be to see her again and cancer-free and in good health and all. I can only imagine in what life would be like right now if she was still here and never having cancer whatsoever. Mom? I'm trying to do everything I think and believe you would be doing, and so far it's going quite good. I just want to say that I still love you, somewhere in my memory lies that joy of a Christmas and that being having many many many of those Christmases with you, and yet I can only imagine what life would be like right now if you were still here and in good health and never having cancer. Again, I still love you and always will, and................. I sure miss you a lot.

Was looking for an orchestral version of this to show my son, who watched Home Alone (and the other 5 films of wildly varying quality) for the first time over the Xmas period. And he still has this music in his head a month later. An excellent performance of a genius composer’s music.
This was absolutely beautiful. Sure, it reminds me of Home Alone, but more than that, it reminds me of a time long gone, a wonderful magical time that taught me to cherish my family. I miss those times, but always have the memories. And thankfully, my family too. Great job, Indonesia!

Home Alone is one of my favorite movies, and I actually lived in the town where the first one was filmed (Winnetka, Illinois) about for six years in my youth with my family. Finding out the title of the iconic music number for the first time, it has a new meaning, as when I watch the movie again in 10-20 years, the years of living in that town is stored "somewhere in my memory".
Thank you, Mas Addie MS. for bringing this masterpiece. Before end of 2023, I am able to watch it with my beloved wife and shared our teenage years when we watched home alone. Merry Christmas everyone.

Every Christmas eve I visit my grandparents grave and leave a present, I think of this song and cry every time. 22 years later and never gets easier. I struggle to listen to this song for that reason, but when I do i allow myself a few minutes to feel the pain as it's important to remember those loved ones who've shaped who you are. This song always reminds me of my last Christmas with my mom when she was very ill with cancer. We watched the first Home Alone together as a family, but it was a bittersweet Christmas. I remember when Kevin's mom ran to meet him and hug him. Its been many years since my mother went to meet the Lord Jesus, and I miss her hugs and kisses and saying I love you.
I still have the memories of family Christmases together, and will always cherish them.

It's not yet christmas, but this takes me to my childhood when i ask for my parents to buy PS2 and some games. I kid you not, when i was watching home alone, my father comes home and literally surprises me with PS2 while this music is playing. I can relate to Kevin in a way. How much he misses his family reminds me of how much I miss my mother, who passed away August 26th, 2018, from pancreatic cancer. It tore a hole in my heart so much that I still struggle to make peace with her death. She always loved Christmas and having it with the family. She, unlike my father, always had so much Christmas spirit. The lyrics of this song lets me know that somewhere in my memory lies the joy of a Christmas. That joy actually was having it with my mother. Now, I have to have Christmases with the family without her. It was bad enough losing her, but what's worse was in the time we had together in there being problems which I had tried telling her and all and all what happened and the discussions and all, my father was the one who made the problems between me and her, even though it was never her intention or intent. My mother had never intended for any of it to happen at all. If I could ever have anything at all in my life, it would be to see her again and cancer-free and in good health and all. I can only imagine in what life would be like right now if she was still here and never having cancer whatsoever.
Mom? I'm trying to do everything I think and believe you would be doing, and so far it's going quite good. I just want to say that I still love you, somewhere in my memory lies that joy of a Christmas and that being having many many many of those Christmases with you, and yet I can only imagine what life would be like right now if you were still here and in good health and never having cancer. Again, I still love you and always will, and................. I sure miss you a lot.

Home Alone is one of my favorite movies, and I actually lived in the town where the first one was filmed (Winnetka, Illinois) about for six years in my youth with my family. Finding out the title of the iconic music number for the first time, it has a new meaning, as when I watch the movie again in 10-20 years, the years of living in that town is stored "somewhere in my memory".

Every Christmas eve I visit my grandparents grave and leave a present, I think of this song and cry every time. 22 years later and never gets easier. I struggle to listen to this song for that reason, but when I do i allow myself a few minutes to feel the pain as it's important to remember those loved ones who've shaped who you are.
