Same. Such a moving carol. Makes me think of that moving scene from Home Alone when the old man is in the church speaking with Macaulay Culkin about the argument with his son and his regret they no longer speak. So touching and the music matches it beautfully.
Exactly the same here... I heard it played at Tewkesbury Abbey, the first Christmas I had without my Mum and unfortunately I had to walk out because I sobbed like a baby..

I am in tears as I listen. The world is falling apart, and I pray for peace and healing for us all these days. God help us.
Sang this every year at midnight mass when I was a chorister at the Catholic cathedral in Portsmouth. Beautiful. ❤️ If you're reading this then I send love and wish you a happy Christmas. 🙏
True. However, this music would not exist if not for people trying to achieve a divine standard in the worship of God. Look at almost any modern art and compare it to Catholic/Christian art, music, architecture and so on. There is no comparison. And I say that as a former atheist.
As I was getting ready to go into Manhattan this morning I started singing this song in the bathroom, no idea why it came to me but I have just found this rendition from Kings College Choir and I am absolutely spellbound.
You can listen to it with the intention of only listening to it without having doubts of Islam and Allah. But if you listen to it with the feeling that it is bringing you closer to Christianity then you'll have to answer for that on the day of judgement and YOU will be held accountable when you stand infront of Allah. If that is the case then good luck to you.... and don't say Merry Christmas as it is Haram
OMG that was just bloody IMMENSE! It picked me up, threw me against the wall and said "FEEL that"! I'm blubbing like a baby here and not sure why? Those voices! Utterly, incredibly, SUPERB!
O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth Long lay the world in sin and error pining Till He appeared and the Soul felt its worth A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices! O night divine, the night when Christ was born O night, O night divine! O night, O night divine! Led by the light of faith serenely beaming With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming Now come the wisemen from the Orient land The King of kings lay thus lowly manger In all our trials born to be our friend He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger Behold your King! Before him lowly bend! Behold your King! Before him lowly bend! Truly He taught us to love one another His law is love and His gospel is peace Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother And in his name all oppression shall cease Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we With all our hearts we praise His holy name Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we His power and glory ever more proclaim! His power and glory ever more proclaim!
I miss my husband so very much! He died in Jan. 2020 of Cancer.. Our wedding 48th anniversary was the 20th, now Christmas ... I can't feel the joy and cheer I used to feel but I know Christ is the Light of Life. I weep at Christmas, now. All I ask of Christ is he takes care of his beautiful, gentle soul and that my beloved is safe.
I know he'll be very safe. Try to enjoy this coming Christmas, I'm sure he'll be happier if you do. God bless you ❤ Hope this message doesn't cause any upset 🙏
Gott, dein heiliger Name sei gelobt. Amen
We find more sentimental associations with the Eternal, All-knowing, All-loving One taking on the finite-ness of our humanity at Christmas in the form of a beautiful, helpless, needy, totally dependent baby (the Word not yet able to speak), but that baby had to grow up, and be crucified, and die, and rise again from the dead. The Crucifixion-Resurrection is the greatest gift that our Father has given us. Jesus talked always about his "hour." "My 'hour' has not yet come," that "hour" referring to his passion and death, and resurrection--FOR US.
It's almost Christmas and I'm stuck in another country for a year because of corona. Despite all the things I've done to make it till Christmas, I wont be able to see my family. This Carol is the only thing that helps me now to feel a little bit better. Merry Christmas to all
Corona, a fate worse than death itself. I just got over it, it was a mild flu, one of the mildest I've ever had, which proved to me it's all a big hoax. I'm glad I had it so I can stop wearing masks and not get vaccinated since I'm now immune to it. And Merry Christmas!!!
I got goosebumps all over my body and tears in my eyes when they sang "Fall on your knees". I am not even Christian, but this song touches the core of the heart.
It`s July 2020 and I am watching Carols from Kings. Why? I ask myself. It takes me to a happy place, and I think we all need a happy place right now. I have watched Carols from Kings every Christmas Eve for as long as I can remember (tot of whiskey by my side). Let`s hope when this Christmas arrives we have something to celebrate. Christmas not Coronavirus! Stay safe.

My favorite song, so beautiful. There's something so magical and heartwarming about this song. Especially sang by a choir and in such a breathtaking church as this.
I was lucky enough to sing this in Southwark Cathedral in London as part of my High School Choir's annual Carol Service on more than one occasion, it was unforgettable!! That was 40 years ago and though I still love to sing, the voice has changed somewhat. I have gone from Lead Soprano to a Bass Baritone!!
Absolute bliss, takes you into another world, brings me to tears,I’m having this at my funeral, no matter the time of year, one of the most moving pieces of music ,ever.
My favorite Christmas carol and this is the most beautiful version I’ve ever heard. This song should be sung by a choir and there’s no better choir. Merry Christmas! ❤️🎄🎅🏼
Anytime I hear this song I cry because it reminds me of my late parents and how celebrating Christmas with the whole family feels .. now so many have died no feelings of Christmas the way it use to before, till I die I will never forget every good memories it brought to my heart❤I love you mum and Dad 🌹 All my dreams of traveling to Canada or America is not working I feel bad because I feel I didn't make you guys proud like I promised 😢😢I really can't help it 😢😢😢😢I miss you all..
Salvation literally 'salvages' lives. Nurturing a maturing relationship with my Creator, as I understand Him, got me off the streets and straight for the last Ten Years.
This song brought me to my knees this year. At its core, Christmas is about Mercy and Hope given, and nothing expresses that more clearly than this song does. To all those weary souls out there, may you find mercy in your heart this year. Amen 🙏🩷

You know that there are many versions of christmas songs music arrangement you could get when searching in youtube. Nowadays some musicians (incld me) love to make "pop" or "jazzy" arrangement of those songs using some music instruments. But, I couldn't find beauty more than what this cathedral choir did : the choir voice, the pipe organ voice, ambience of the cathedral room, those things made me feel peaceful and made me remember that this is how we should celebrate christmas, in way of simpleness and majesty, like what Jesus did when he came to this world thousand years ago for you and me.
The most favourite choir carol I enjoyed singing as a child at my local town hall. I love this above any Christmas song. Thank you and God bless, Have a lovely Christmas and New year everyone of you. X
My son has just been made up to a full chorister at Gloucester cathedral and I can't wait to hear him and his super talented chorister friends sing this song ! Why does it do that. I'm not somebody who's religious at all but when I hear this I feel closer to God. I've heard this song live in huge chapel witch just gave me huge chills down my spine with tears running down my face.
These young boys sing beautifully and have good spirits. Hope they grow up and have beautiful souls, faiths and spirits grounded at young ages by the parents.
This is so beautiful It makes me cry all the time I hear it.... And it makes me appreciate Christ’s sacrifice of his physical life in the name of love ... ❤️❤️❤️
When Listening to this carol your entire body, soul and spirit has this urge to praise God forever. this shows that human spirit is meant to worship God. The feeling is awesome!
It really is. When I heard this hymn as a child, I felt something stir inside me. I was born in Turkey, in a mostly Muslim but secular country. I became a Christian after a long time, and this hymn still makes me feel the same. That's what it's like to be the sheep of God. Thanks my God :)

This choir has honestly struck my heart. I'm literally getting chills with my winter coat on. This is the most beautiful thing that I've ever seen. These boys are so young and they do such an amazing job. They make it possible to hear heavenly angels all the way from earth. I wish all of these boys a very successful future. Merry Christmas and Happy holidays. ~greetings from America. *Edit: Aaaahh, firstly thank you for all the likes! All these years later, in the middle of a pandemic and I'm still listening to this. Merry Christmas to all. To those who are still here with us, and to those that couldn't make it. May you find it in your hearts to remember those you've lost and find happiness in their memories. Remember that you are only human and you deserve praise. Don't be too hard on yourself and do the right thing. Merry Christmas~

You don’t need to be religious to appreciate this music.
I also enjoy this type of music. They give me the chills because most of them are so we'll sung! I'm not religious but I really like this
i believe this is natural for mankind. We were after all created to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
@Snowden You are right
that's it my bro
True. However, this music would not exist if not for people trying to achieve a divine standard in the worship of God.
Look at almost any modern art and compare it to Catholic/Christian art, music, architecture and so on. There is no comparison. And I say that as a former atheist.
I come back to this every year. Beautiful
As I was getting ready to go into Manhattan this morning I started singing this song in the bathroom, no idea why it came to me but I have just found this rendition from Kings College Choir and I am absolutely spellbound.
I'm a muslim but it's truly a joy to listen to this. Merry christmas and happy holiday to y'all. Best of God's blessings, peace be upon you.
A blessed New Year to you from a Christian adult. May peace come into the troubled hearts of the violent of all races and creeds.

Merry Christmas, Simon Peter!

Christmas is not complete without listening to this.
This is by far and away the most beautiful vocal performance I've ever heard in my life. It's my favorite every single year. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's the pureness of the children's voices, the true spirit of God
OMG that was just bloody IMMENSE! It picked me up, threw me against the wall and said "FEEL that"! I'm blubbing like a baby here and not sure why? Those voices! Utterly, incredibly, SUPERB!
O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the Soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born
O night, O night divine!
O night, O night divine!
Led by the light of faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming
Now come the wisemen from the Orient land
The King of kings lay thus lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend
He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother
And in his name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
With all our hearts we praise His holy name
Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
Thanks for the lyrics, I am not sure if you call it lyrics for carols??...but yeah you know what I am trying to say.
Thank you.
Wtf are you talking about
Thank you!
So sorry
I’m sorry for your loss. ❤️🙏✝️. May He R.I.P.
I know he'll be very safe. Try to enjoy this coming Christmas, I'm sure he'll be happier if you do. God bless you ❤ Hope this message doesn't cause any upset 🙏

Herr, mein Gott,
Gott, dein heiliger Name sei gelobt. Amen
Listening this hymn in midnight, makes me think the born of Christ is the greatest gift our Father had gave us. What a joy! Thank you Lord.
The greatest thing my father gave me was a pack of Cigarettes
@Edestron
But our Father on Heaven gave us HIS unique Son JESUS CHRIST!
My wish for Christmas is for my girlfriend to be cancer free. 🙏

Merry Xmas!
I got goosebumps all over my body and tears in my eyes when they sang "Fall on your knees". I am not even Christian, but this song touches the core of the heart.
Jesus loves you more than you will know
Any rendition….for the “Fall on your knees…” makes me tear up…I love the major key to minor….so gorgeous. My absolute favorite Christmas song

I am not an emotional person but this carol gets to me. Wonderful words and performance by Kings Choir. 👏👍
