I'm still trying to figure out what I like best. I'm not sure about the sound part.. especially when you add the 8 outs to the mix . For whatever reason 8 outs on the 2000xl aren't as strong as the stereo outs. But choppin is way more fun on the xl. But as far as which one I like more, I still don't know. Something about the xl just calls me... I'll do a sound test sometime this summer between the units. Thanks for watching
@@SauceSoundz I was wondering how you were doing with the 3000 now that you've had it for a while? I was just reading what you said about not knowing with one you preferred, the XL or the 3000. I've got both too and the answer for me is both. There are some tracks that I know that, for a certain feel it's better to use the 3000, where as others I know for how I want it to sound it's best to use the XL. With both the 3000 and the XL I can use either the stereo outs or the individual outputs. Both MPCs sound amazing through the individual channels on my Soundcraft Signature mixer although sometimes I want the glue from balancing the mix in the MPC and exporting it from the stereo outputs. They both give me the sound that I want, I'm efficient with the workflow so I have resisted buying a modern MPC. What's your verdict with the two MPCs?
@@RoomAtTheTopStudio maaannn... I can say with no hesitation that the 3000 has taken the main stay at my desk. The 2000xl I do use when I wanna just chop something up and wanna make something quick .. (generally speaking) my live 2 sad to say I have turned it on like 3 times this yr.. it's cool but after getting 8 outs I haven't looked back. The XL is amazing and I have so much fun on it and I do love the sound. I make different kind of music on each unit, I do straight chops mostly on The XL where the 3k I kind of think about what I'm gonna do more like fitting pieces to a puzzle. And I've made some wack beats on the 3k and even tho there wack the fact that the sound is so damn good I end up kind of liking them. So yea the 3000 is it for me, plus I feel like it does midi better. Thanks for checking in. I'll do an update video eventually. Hope all is well with you my brother
@@SauceSoundz Thanks for letting me know. Like you I do straight chops type work on the XL and things that bounce with the 3000. I'm fast at chopping on both the 3K using my ears and numbers, as well as with the wav form on the XL. For MIDI I kinda like the XL a bit more but I use the 3K or the XL to control a poly and a mono synth so it's just a case of what seems a little more easier to do. They both sound amazing IMO. It's great to see someone who uses and loves the same tools as I do. I look forward to more content from you

@@SauceSoundz Oh my bad bro didn't mean your unit, that was a come up for real. I meant the one that got away, yeah researched it and something seems suspicious. So you got blessed brother!
Nothing like a Rolex. Certain watches and cars are literally investments. Not so much for technology. You don't even need a "box" to make beats anymore. You have software now. A lot of these older machines can be had for a song. REVERB..is way overpriced for a lot of their gear.
A old mpc is not like a synth. The 3000 can’t do 10 percent of what the new mpcs can do. I wouldn’t want that thing taking up space in my studio. But have fun.
You’re wrong bro. the 3000 can do a lot more than 10%. In fact, it can do almost everything a modern mpc can do, if you’re willing to customize it. The sequencer has a natural “swing” to it that just can’t find anywhere on anything, believe me, I’ve tried everything, I heard that Roger Linn put an algorithm in it, that intelligently nudges midi data into a certain spot to give it the most “swing”. the sound of it, also has yet to be duplicated, something about those filters, but it makes everything sound fatter, warmer, better. You can make a great beat on a 3000 without barely even trying. I would say an mpc3000 can do 70% of modern mpc, but what makes it special are its unique features That no modern mpc has.

I look forward to more content from you
@@RoomAtTheTopStudio thanks man I wanna hear you do more with that Moog!
Ayo don't feel bad man, if its the same MPC I saw on reverb there might be some shady ish going on with it. In any case nice come up hermano! Salute 💯🙏🏻👊🏻
I def see it. I knew it was gonna be a hoopty . Haven't seen anything major yet besides the screen. But I can tell something ain't right with it. Let's hope it's just cosmetic 🤞. And parce muchos gracias!
@@SauceSoundz Oh my bad bro didn't mean your unit, that was a come up for real. I meant the one that got away, yeah researched it and something seems suspicious. So you got blessed brother!
The Greatest Mpc Ever Made And You Can't Argue This point 😂
Yoo I'm starting to think it is man. I love this thing
What is the ROI of this old ass MPC?
Happiness lol
Oh you must be new.
You should google it.
If ypu werent rocking lo like stadium 92 series or avirex or pelle leathers back in the days you werent rocking hot gear
Had a few of the stadium joints 🔥
👍
My understanding is the 3000 has a feel. Not a sound. That its known for. Sell it and get the Rossum. Sound and feel
It def has a sound compared to the others I own. But I do wanna get an sp1200 at some point . Hopefully sooner than later
I'm happy 😊 for you brother May Yahweh bless you 🙏
Thanks my brother. I appreciate that
Much love brother and may Yahweh bless you and your music 🎶 🎵 🙏
Jesus dude, over 16 mins til its even plugged in 😅
hey man I was excited 😂😂
2000xl pads and 3000 pads are not the same *3k mp is much softer
Oh ok thanks for the heads up. I noticed they feel a lil different and the color is a bit darker on the xl. Appreciate it
The sample sounds like a MF doom
Thanks man. He's one of my favorite producers
Nah it's the most expensive used older Akai MPC of all time especially it being limited edition of the 3000

Nothing like a Rolex. Certain watches and cars are literally investments.
Not so much for technology.
You don't even need a "box" to make beats anymore.
You have software now.
A lot of these older machines can be had for a song.
REVERB..is way overpriced for a lot of their gear.
All that money for no record deal or radio play? For something that old. A fool and his money shall soon part LOL
Some people ain’t built for it.
Less talking more previewing please
I got u on the next one
@@SauceSoundzyou good bro. I like hearing stories like this.
@@djgreenhornet2892 thanks man still figuring out what the people want to see
@@djgreenhornet2892YOUR 💯 KEEP DOING YOUR THING!!! WHAT YOUR DOING IS PART OF THE PROCESS WE CALL "HIP-HOP" WHO DOESN'T HAVE A DOPE STORY CONCERNING THE "OG MPC-3000 " ESPECIALLY IF YOUR ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES THAT HAVE ONE! I GOT A 3000 ALSO. KEEP UP THE CONTENT AND KEEP THOSE HIP-HOP STORIES COMING CAUSE THE CULTURE NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND WHY WE GO CRAZY ABOUT A CERTAIN PIECE OF GEAR OR A HARD TO FIND RECORD OR ANYTHING INVOLVING HIP-HOP! ! ! IT'S SOMETHING WORDS CAN'T DESCRIBE AND MORE PEOPLE NEED TO HEAR WHY PEOPLE ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT THE CULTURE AND THE THINGS THAT HELP CREATE IT. . .💯✌️
I like talking and opinion videos.
