Trains at Downers Grove and around Eola, 12.09.12: BNSF, CN, Metra & Amtrak

It was a misty, foggy, and cold day this past Sunday, when I went out to Downers Grove to meet a friend for some train watching. As seems typical for the Racetrack on a Sunday, not much was happening. But the cold, foggy weather made for some atmospheric shots. Descriptions following:
Train 1:
The conductor and engineer of outbound Metra/BNSF Line train #1307 exchange hand signals that all the doors are closed before departing towards Aurora. The last car is ad-wrapped for BMO bank.
Train 2:
P42s 81 and 23 lead Amtrak train #6, the 'California Zephyr', eastward toward Chicago.
Train 3:
Three BNSF Dash-9s hustle west with an intermodal.
Train 4:
Two rather dirty P42s are in charge of the eastbound 'Southwest Chief'.
Train 5:
The westbound 'California Zephyr' zips through Downers Grove, late already...
Train 6:
Caught side-on just south of the EJ&E-BNSF connection at East Eola, CN Q116, the hotshot Vancouver-Chicago-Detroit stack train, is led by SD70M-2 #8924 and Dash-9 #2551. It moves south on the 'J', heading for Markham Yard, where they will pick up and set out stacks before heading to Flat Rock Yard (Detroit) on the Grand Trunk Western.
Train 7:
Just past sunset, and at West Eola, three BNSF Geeps come out of the engine terminal area. The units are ex-BN "whiteface" GP39-2R #2919, straight-GP38 #2351 in H1 paint, and another '38 in Cascade Green.
There were a couple more trains here, but by then it was too dark to film.

You better see them while you can! The three signal bridges in Downers Grove are the last ones left on the Racetrack with searchlights, other than the ones at Eola.

Other Downers Grove stop to the east, the Fairview Ave stop. This is Downers Grove Main St.

Thanks. I believe top speed for passenger trains on this section is 70 mph.

Just west of the Main Street station, there WAS a fatality, recently!
