Ich bekam erlich gesagt gänsehaut bei eurer erlichen beschreibung der gerichte. Man sieht richtig wie liebe voll jedes gericht ist. Definitiv eine motivation dieses restaurant zu besuchen :)
I never watched these videos because I'd never be able to afford it.But I can't stop watching this couple now because they just seem so happy and pleasant
Awh, that's so nice to hear!! Thanks so much :) Just an FYI... sometime we do Michelin Meal giveaways and plan on doing one at our next major sub count milestone! So stay tuned!
Lovely to see you in Germany. We have a lot of great restaurants! The restaurant Intense in Wachenheim is a hidden gem if you find you way to the lovely Pfalz ;)
Thanks for sharing that great suggestion! Unfortunately we were in and out of Germany quickly to capture JAN, but we know where to go next time we're back!
The Munich food scene is really good right now. I was there in December (I used to live nearby so like to visit often, but thanks to Covid that was my first time in five years) and visited Esszimmer and Atelier, both of which are excellent 2*s. I didn't think Jan offered a vegetarian menu but I read now in the FAQs that it can be arranged with prior notice - maybe next time!
Yeah, we'll definitely have to go back and explore more! That's great about Jan offering a vegetarian menu, you should definitely try it out when you visit again :)
Another great video on a restaurant I was not familiar with! Thanks for taking us along! Any chance you guys will do some videos on some Toronto / Ontario places? I know it's not quiteee at the same level, but it feels like there is no high quality content on RUclips about a lot of the fine(r) dining places in the area. Some potentially interesting restaurants I would love to see more high-quality content available about, off the top of my head: - Restaurant Pearl Morissette - Langdon Hall - Eigensinn Farm - The Gate - Alo - Canoe - Ten (a personal favorite)
Always a pleasure to take you along with us! Those are great restaurants you've suggested, and you're right we haven't focused on featuring videos from Toronto/Ontario. We'll definitely keep that in mind, but truthfully, we have a long list of restaurants around the world we're incredible excited about and we're booked out months in advance. When we find the time, we'll definitely consider it :D
Love your channel. Your video and descriptions send the view to another plane. It's as close as drawing up a chair with the two of you as possible. Thank you.
I went there a few years back and it was just great! Super warm service and beautiful food. One of my favourites ever. It's one star though (although in my experience more stars only seems to mean more money and not better food!).
I would love to see some videos where instead of the wine pairing, you went with the non-alcoholic juice pairing. Just to show what those who do not drink would experience!
Thanks for the feedback! We always enjoy trying the wine pairing but yes, on the occasion where we don’t feel like it, we’ll absolutely try the non-alcoholic!
Damn, how much wine do they drink? I would be blasted, halfway through the meal. That restaurant and staff are incredible! Thanks S3 for giving us common folk a chance to see how it is like to eat at a top restaurant.
awesome video. Jan is top top chef. Yeah broth needs to be hot, to deliver good feeling and aroma. that menu makes me wanna work again at michelin starred restaurants. great that jan stay away from sous vide, ergo plastic cooking.
Yes, unfortunately for an S3 the restaurant hits to be nearly perfect as a whole experience and there were a few elements outside of the food that didn't blow us away. The food, however, was incredible and outstanding!
Of course, there were a few songs. We used "Murmuring by Yehezkel Raz" and "Bring to Light by Max H." Let me know if either of those is the song you're referring to?
Hi! Yes the highest ranking is S3 but an S2 especially on the high end of S2 close to 90 represents an incredible dining experience. Our ranking takes many factors into account not just food and service. Where Jan didn’t blow us away was decor and design which for many wouldn’t matter. The food ranked one of the highest we’ve ever reviewed. Hope that helps!
Giving 3 Michelin stars in 6 months is disrespectful to those who work 20 years to get it . Because the third star should also represent continuity in Perfection not only the achievement of that level
Oh we loved this meal so much, and we’d go back in a heartbeat!! The food was outstanding, but we take a lot of factors into account when we rate the experience as a whole, including the design and wow factor of the restaurant itself, which was still great but didn’t blow us away!

@@S3Lifestyle You're very welcome💜.It's just the truth and thank you for that info.I'll keep that in mind 😁🙃
I`ve eaten @ 9 Michelin 3 macarons rated restaurants......this was my favourite.
That's great, agreed!! This makes it to one of our favourites, too!
macarons ? wtf are you talking about? 😂😂😂
Been following Chef Jan Hartwig for a long time and his exceptionally detailed touch is up there with any other culinary legends. Amazing.
Agreed!! From restaurants we've experienced so far, definitely makes it to our personal top list too of culinary legends!

There is another Restaurant JAN in Nice France. Belonging to a South African Chef. They have 2 Michelin Stars.
I went there a few years back and it was just great! Super warm service and beautiful food. One of my favourites ever. It's one star though (although in my experience more stars only seems to mean more money and not better food!).
This looked absolutely incredible. Your videos are getting better and better. Love this channel
Thanks so much :)
Jan is very high on my list, I hope to one day go there. I love how passionate he and the whole team are. Proud to have such a gem here in Germany!
We hope you make it too! Definitely worth it!! Yes, everyone seemed so passionate. Come back and let us know how it is, when you go!
Can almost hit the like button before I watch the videos. Keep em coming!
Haha, that's awesome! Thank you :D
This is one underrated channel, good luck!

Chef owner who always smile is a secret to get stars. Staff happy=customer happy.
Totally!! :D

That looks so amazing!!
Thank you!! Really was ❤
Amazing!!
.
🙏🙏🙏
Das schmeckt bestimmt sehr lecker. Das wäre ein Traum da mal essen zu können.
Amazing that this didn't crack an s1 but then again the atmosphere seems a little busy and the design of the place isn't outstanding
Yes, unfortunately for an S3 the restaurant hits to be nearly perfect as a whole experience and there were a few elements outside of the food that didn't blow us away. The food, however, was incredible and outstanding!
Niederkofler in Italy, got 3 stars in 4 months last year so he was the fastest in history ;)
You are right... and you've totally guesses one of our upcoming features ;)
Amazing
I love your channel
Awh thanks so much 🙏
Isnt hajime in kyoto the fastest 3 stars?
I agree,i mean it's little impossible ...
Hajime reached 3 stars in 17 months
then there is JAN south africa in Nice
We've heard, we'll have to look into it :)
May I ask for the title of the background song please?
Of course, there were a few songs. We used "Murmuring by Yehezkel Raz" and "Bring to Light by Max H." Let me know if either of those is the song you're referring to?
@@S3Lifestyle 👍 yes. Appreciate it.. Thanks.
@@S3Lifestyle my mistake... It's that song at 7 minutes 50 seconds...
You ranked it as S2, I assume the highest ranking is S3. Considering you had nothing negative to say in the video that seems odd.

Love the broth is “ hot “ comment . Way too much tepid food kicking about these days
Hahah, we need it hooot!
Labour of love i think is the translation not laboratory?

He has worked in fine dining for 20 years and had 3 Michelin stars in the previous restaurant since 2017.
I didn't hear one negative comment. S2?

Nothing like being a bother you other ppl in a 3 michelin star restaurant, I'd be pissed
Nothing like being obnoxious in a youtube comment section
What are your names S3?
Hahah... oops!!
Hope your partner got to eat your sweatbreads ;-)
... and with those nails you have to eat out....
Hahah, fair!
