It seems like the entire war is artificially driven by defense contractors selling extremely overengineered equipment, so it can be absurdly overpriced, to the SE government. the concept of a Helldiver is like the most expensive possible way to fight a war

i love the design of the emplacement, built to be compact enough to fit inside a hellpod, ammo comes from inside the hellpod its self like the hmg emplacement
Its mesmerizing just how detailed the animation on that thing is. It even tilts down the barrel to allow the auto loader to be aligned with the breach.
If we pause at 0:21, we can see that they used an RPG as the projectile model for the shells, common tactic in games since u can’t see the projectile but I wish they had used a proper shells because now I can’t unsee that 😭

We already have two spinning animations for the Senator, so why the hell not! lol If anyone's unaware : 1. Switching from/to the Senator has a chance of using a spinning animation 2. If you hold down the Reload button, A.K.A. Inspection (R for PC, Square for PS5, X or "West Face Button" for any other controller), after a while, your Helldiver will begin spinning the Senator. (Sidenote : this may or may not happen with an item in hand, such as a Ballistic Shield or any carry objective. No idea why, but sometimes it works with them in hand, sometimes it doesn't) Extra Sidenote : if you turn on the Flashlight, you can get a pseudo Disco Light going.
Probably because we already know how it's ballistics work, and that it has a solid tracer effect. Makes me wonder what the Autocannon Sentry projectile looks like.
To be fair there is a presedent for shooting modified RPG-7 shells from cannons. Both the russian SPG-9 and the 73mm gun for the BMP-1 use RPG-7 warhead modified to be fired from low pressure guns.
@@latenightwolf4253 thing is the shells in the autoloader look nothing like HEATFS. They dont even have a fin. They look like APHE. Which considering thats the ammo type you select on the normal auto cannon it almost definitly is.
I like the added bit of detail here but now I just can’t unsee how the shell casing just magically flies out upward where there is no visible ejector mechanism😂
If you emote with a shield, you'll stow the shield on your back. If you cancel the emote by moving, you can use your previously equipped weapon one handed with the shield still on your back. In ADS, the weapon will still be to the side as if you were still holding the shield. I think it could also be useful for the closeups you use in your videos.
I wish there was a resupply Strategem option for stationary turrets like this and the machine gun one. We have resupply for regular weapons, now we need like heavy resupply or something for vehicles and stationary Strategems. It would make the game EVEN BETTER imo.

This heavy resupply would land similarly to regular resupply, but there would only be 2 canisters (as opposed to 4), and they would need to be carried with 2 hands, before being loaded into a vehicle, an exo suit, or a stationary turret.
Imagine if the stratagem dropped down and up popped a little push cart with stacks of ammo you could push around and also reload mechs, just like in the Matrix movie.

Holy shit....the prospect of dodging a Charger as you scramble to reload and find a BT coming at you in VR is just insane. This will be the future of gaming.
Also special mention, I've never played a single shooting game other than this one where you can interrupt the reload sequence (after emptying the magazine) where you have to finish racking the slide of the gun. Thus requiring you to complete it from that point if you interrupt it before you perform that final step. Usually the whole reload is one animation in almost every game.
Even though it's a cool animation I wish it was a more traditional anti tank gun that could be team reloaded. Same as the others you can run alone but a teammate can speed it up
Crazy how they got that right but then if you interrupt the airburst launcher reload it will show a rocket in the launcher even though it's empty. So many times i thought i had it loaded because i don't have time to check the tiny little magazine in the bottom left of the screen so i trust the big rocket i can see in the middle of my screen.
Do you know when harvester get fitted by fully charged purifier their head will bounce. The damage is minimum but it's a cool animation the dev did. How it will make into a video here

I like how small dev studios like Arrowhead have such a simple and basic feature yet Star Citizen is still shitting its diaper on how to add things like this.

Yeah, the pod serving as ammo storage is slick AF.

We already have a resupply for heavy equipment that does not get resupplied by normal resupply orders: Just ordering another unit

It's reflective in the game when the devs actually know how guns and stuff work.
Yet the autoloader clesely shows APHE shells in it but the projectile fired from the barrel is an HEATFS/RPG projectile.
tho if you look closely they turn into mortar shells for some reason when they come out of the barrel.
