I still haven't stopped listening to it since it came out. When this album first dropped, I was living in Buenos Aires, where Emily had been living just a year or two prior. It was my soundtrack for exploring the city. Just before moving there, I was working in a recording studio in Memphis, TN. One of the final projects I recorded was actually for a friend of Emily's, who was also a friend of my girlfriend, named Emily. Nowadays, I'm in Hawaii and this song has been helping me process & deal with all the propaganda surrounding the hospitals in Gaza. There's so much synchronicity in this song for me. Lol It's silly.. PS: My Oma is from Berlin. She survived the entirety of WW2 there. The chorus of the song doesn't apply to her. ;)
