    For my first trailer, a Wolf Pup 16FQ, at under 4,000 lbs. I had no need for a WDH. Then I traded that in for a larger Grey Wolf 24 JS, but seeing that can get up to over 6,000 lbs for the two of us on a heavy trip. So towing with a 2019 Colorado Crew Cab, 4x4, V6, that actually didn’t need weight distribution as much as sway/stability control, but towing without the round bars the Colorado the ride does suffer from the rear end bounding up an down when going over bridges and especially RR Tracks. But mostly effected by cross winds to a point anywhere over 55-60 is a white knuckle experience!! But with the round bars fixed in place the ride improves quite a bit an sway is under control. I have found the easiest way to mount the bars on for safe travel, after I hook everything else up, I lift the trailer and truck up far enough, so the round bars just slide right in place without the pry bar! The Fastway E2 Weight Distribution Hitch, is worth every cent spent on one!

    The closest to the center of the coupler I can mount the plates is 27" courtesy of the propane tank mount in the way. Is that a problem?

      27” should work great. See step 4. www.fastwaytrailer.com/pdf/FW_e2_Round-Bar-Owners-Manual.pdf

    I have a few questions on my E2 Roundbar 10k. 1). On the initial level do I level the trailer or adjust it so that the measurements are the same at the front and back? 2).Is there a minimum number of washers you should use? I have the L brackets on their lowest setting and only 4 washers. I feel I could use a little less correction. 3).I have tightened and loosened the shank bolts a few times while making adjustments. The conical washers appear flattened from 250# torque. Is that something I should get some new ones?

      1. adjust it so that your trailer FRAME is level with the ground.
      2. I wouldn't go less than 4, but you can do 3 if you still need less, you just might need to tighten your angle set bolt a bit more often.
      3. Nope, those should be good to go and shouldn't need replaced!

      It’s amazing how much the angle changes by just removing one washer.

    I am struggling to get my round bars to sit Parallel to the trailer frame. I have a 10k hitch for a 7800lb trailer, tow vehicle is a 2019 ram 2500. The hitch high and trailer height both measured 22 1/2” , the l-brackets are 27” from center of the coupler to center of the bracket. By the number every seems correct.

    Is it safe to use this hitch for towing without the bars installed? For example over rough terrain, where finding level ground to unhitch may be difficult? Or for shorter trips that don't involve highway speeds...etc?
    I've been doing this for the past year assuming that it would be okay but I just noticed that my spacer nut broke. Not sure if this is from normal wear and tear or if it just wasn't made to be used in this way.
    I have a RAM 2500 towing a 9,000 lbs travel trailer. Thanks.

      Hi there! Yes, for short distances at a low speed or rough terrain, you can take off the arms. However, by removing the arms, you are removing weight distribution and sway control. As for your broken spacer nut, go ahead and contact our customer service team at 877.523.9103 and they can get a new part shipped out to you!

    Do you level the ball before tightening? Since the top channel is large?

    • @FastwayTrailer
      @FastwayTrailer  4 года назад

      You will tighten it enough to set the angle, but the final tightening will be done at the end once you've confirmed all of your measurements are correct.
