Just to let you know when you put those snap pins on you have it backwards the first time.. turn it around so the rounded edge of the pin is facing the truck that way if your tire kicks up a rock and it hits the snap pin (and it will) it wont knock out the pin and have your hook come off. Could be very ugly. Great video.
👍
Poor Calvin. Haha
If you need the tool to snap that how are you going to take it off since the tool doesn't help with the removal of the weight distribution bars?
It slides off with a small bump with my foot.
To remove the bars from the ramps, use the trailer tongue Jack to lift the trailer AND tow vehicle to the point where it relieves the pressure of the bars then they will swing freely away from the ramps.
After using it a few times that's what I've learned. Haven't needed the tool since.
We just changed tow vehicles and need to adjust the height of the ball and hitch. To disassemble and reassemble the bolts, is it advisable to use a heavy duty adjustable plumbers wrench instead of the ratchet with socket?
No, always use proper tools.
Agreed.
I feel wobbly in the front of my truck what should I adjust
How far back are your brackets mounted on the fram
I went 3" back from the front wall.
Camping world wants to charge $240 for installation? Fair price overpriced ?
make it up as you go....torque wrench, we dont need that....
