Just a tip to this delicious pickle: do not use water at all while grinding . Also shallow fry the prawn in oil for couple of minutes- preserves it longer - :)
In yr ingredients listed below you say l tablespoon of cumin seeds when in fact you show in your video like a teaspoon of cumin. I did with 1 teaspoon. Result was good. I've made this prawn pickle many times and also given a jar to many of m my friends. All liked it very much . Thanks Varun, l follow many of yr recepes, and all a great success. Varun you have given a very good prawn pickle recipe and every one in family have appreciated me for ghis pickle. Here the prawns that we get leaves a lot of water so what i do is i drain it and squeeze the water out and leave it for sometime sometime and then i fry in kadai fr the prawns to ooze out the extra water

Looks good but I do this as a curry adding onions and fresh coriander. My way I use dried prawns marinade in brown vinegar spices I use: mustard powder,Turmeric,chillie teaspoon each two teaspoons cummin powder 4/5 green chillies slit,2 or 3 tomatoes diced, mustard seeds curry leaves and fair amount of oil to preserve - needs continuous stirring till it’s dry cool and preserve in bottles no need for refrigeration but you need at least 2 weeks to get pickle flavour and longer the better can be made with Bombay duck or dried which you fry first

Its totally wrong, We goan use pure coconut vinegar, also the the prawns are fried separately in oil then mixed and the masala. Lots of oil is not required as vinegar is acts as preservative also. Its may be pickle, alright, but please don't say its Goan.

Marinate the prawns with salt keep it for atleast half an hr and fry them before you add in the masala for Goan Prawns Mole recipe

Engelbert vaz can u use medium sized dried prawns ? Or do u have to stick to fresh prawns ,
