I bought one of these last years and it rapidly became my favourite watch. It is a great size, fantastically accurate and is far superior to every auto homages. For the price it just cannot be beaten. I live in hope they will produce a later explorer with applied indices.
Watch is at a very good price, I would get the Blue or Tiffany dial. Having a Seiko quartz movement is good. Might replace bracelet with a rubber strap. For those that have a real Rolex, this watch can be used as a decoy for watch thieves.
I've gotten so much enjoyment out of it the past couple days! Great tip about making this watch a decoy btw I usually never take any expensive watches with me on a trip for that same reason
If you think this bracelet feels cheap, then I'd like to see your reaction to a 80s/90s Rolex bracelet. The only thing that brings it down in my opionion are the sharp edges.

I got the one with the NH35A (ghost position) and it was regulated very poorly at about 60 seconds a day fast. I tired to regulate it myself and touched the spring and its toast. Quartz is the way to go for a homage if they're available, unless your going Baltany, St. Martin, Chronos or the like. The NH35 one is now cheaper, too.
100% agree with you. Sorry to hear about your watch though! Are you going to replace the movement? Or go for the quartz? I got to tell you that this has become one of my fave grab and go pieces. The quartz can take a good bump or two
@@WatchReviewRewind I think I'll replace it with the quartz. It was pretty cheap, Should have saved up for the brown Baltany, which is what I really wanted. lol. Might save the case with the crystal and bracelet just in case I want to try my hand at a mod or self build someday but unless you have a good magnifier and proper set up, trying to regulate can be real tricky.
The bracelet is ok for me after i took some light sandpaper to the sharp areas of the bracelet and clasp. Agree it is the weak point. I really enjoy this watch a lot.
@@kaczynski2333They are trash. I bought a Seiko ‘dress’kx. The watch is fine, the bracelet is rubbish with its folded links. And the clasp is just cheap. The watch cost me £256.00 and I would expect better.👍🏾
It's not about the quality of this or the original watch, but I simply hate the Rolex Explorer's dial layout. Mixing numbers and pictograms are ridiculous. I also not a big fan of the Rolex style Mercedes hands. Beside that this is a great watch. When I had this watch for a month or two the VH31 only had 1 seconds early a month. Now I have a Militado ML07 and also having about 1-2 seconds early per month. It is a very good movement, IMHO, and true no-date movement! I sold this particular watch because of the ugly dial, beside that I loved it. But Addiesdive use this exact casing for other models as well (with VH31, but some has Hardlex, some has sapphire glass). Just look around, you may find something you like in this shape, size and price range. Cheap AliExpress microbrands, some but not all included here: Addiesdive, Steeldive, Steelflight, Watchdives, etc... and Militado and Rdunae (for field watch enthusiast).
How big is your wrist? They have a 40 mm I think if I'm not mistaken, the only thing is that it's using a Seiko nh35 😲 You wouldn't be able to get that quartz movement
@@WatchReviewRewind I looked and did not see the larger 40mm. I should have looked at the specs before purchasing as I now see it is a 37mm dial. But it punches way above its price in quality.
Smaller watches are suddenly "in style". The watch world has to keep changing things and saying "This is the new style". They have to say something to try to obsolete all the watches out there so they can sell more watches.
Subbed! We at Harris watches from Germany have just started. We are different though, one needs a kind of strange sense of humor to come up with a theme like we did. 🙂Regards.
Two things wrong with it. 1) 19mm between the lugs so tough to use any other band-strap. But the huge problem is that coin edge back plate. TOUGH AS HELL TO GET IT THE F OFF!!!!!!!! A professional watchmaker reviewed it and he complained bitterly about it. He got the back off using a yellow rubber disc and he said he has Rolex style dies someplace that would work too, but he was bitter about this act of stupidity... That is the only reason I won't buy one. It has a 2 year battery, so every two years you will go through this hassle of trying to get the back off!!!. They should change the case back so it can be gotten off easily by a watch maker!!!!!!!
@@fraserp2377 Thanks. I just looked on Ali for those and see several. One says to measure the size of your back cover before ordering. Three or four different kits each have about 7 different sizes of "watch screw back case openers". (Maybe the same seven sizes). Could you please tell me the size in mm of the case back on this watch, the ~$65 Rolex Explorer homage from Adidesdive. How long does the battery really last? Really two years?
@@WatchReviewRewind I do NOT like their logo. It looks like the diver is cross eyed!!!!!!! Like a stupid cartoon of a cross eyed diver. Great way to dress up your watch. All the other Explorer homages are autos. I wear a Turtle and one auto is enough to keep running. The turtle is great. I had a new 4R36 movement installed in mine after 6 yeasr and it is like a new watch. Seiko sell LOTS of movements. 4R36 is easy to get. My watchmaker got one and put it for under 2.
Your “complaints” made me laugh. At $60 this is basically a disposable watch. At this price point the watch is PHENOMENAL! Zero complaints here … I have this one and the 2038. Both are exceptional for what you pay. Trust me when I say that. I’ve been down the luxury watch ownership and service costs avenue. Don’t ever plan on driving down that road again.

100% agree on that one! Have you tried anything else from Addiesdive? I think I'm going to get that $40 snowflake as well just to try it

Build, finishing, lume, anti reflective crystal and accurate. AD are just superb. These actually run 2- 3 seconds a month, mine certainly do.

The bracelet is way better than the trash seiko uses. Even Pagani Design refused to use bracelets as bad as seiko.
