THANK YOU EVERYONE for your awesome and kind comments on this video! I needed to get this off my chest as daily I get random comments and emails about this subject filled with hate so i just wanted to show that im a collector first and always will be! so thank you to everyone that has commented and have helped and support me. I really do appreciate it :)
Yeah, all you said in this video is absolutely true. Collecting toys is a hobby or passion, i'm 32 and im back to starting collecting toys again and that's never too late. Toys are not only made by plastic they are also made with nostalgic memories of childhood.
This is why we love your channel mate, you are open, approachable and a genuine nice bloke who shares the same enthusiasm that we all do for toys. I started collecting at 37/38 a new hobby for me during lockdown and whilst I've spent a lot I don't regret it at all.
Hi mate. I am not a toy collector but I watch some channels in this genre because I enjoy seeing what makes people happy. This was a really good video and congrats on 30k subscribers, that is a great achievement. As for emails hating on you, that says everything about them and nothing about you. You come across as a very nice, happy, positive guy with a passion for your hobby. Best of luck with everything 👍
I turned 51 this year, I am probably buying more action figures now than I ever have done at any time in my life, much like you I use them to tell stories through photography, it's a creative outlet which I hope to continue long into the future. I really enjoyed hearing your story and found myself identifying with many of the points you make, keep up the good work!
Hell yeah man. I consider a lot of these action figures to be artwork tbh. I just like having nice pieces of my favorite characters to display and customize.
Hey Sorrell! I just watched your video and it moved me a lot. Since I was a kid my parents used to buy me a lot of figures (and I loved them a lot!), but I officialy started collecting action figures when I was 14/15yo. Now I'm 25 and I think the main reason why I started collecting was because I was bullied and I was feeling lonely. Those figures represented an escape during my childhood and my high school years. My figures reminded me (and they still remind me) the sweet moments when I used to play with my parents and my little brother on the floor. Those plastic heroes always tell me a story and bring me to a positive dimension. Thank you for your video mate, it means a lot to me!
hey man. no worries glad your inthe space head space as me with figures. I use them for the same, they remind me of a simpler time, the games and battles and stories i would tell with these figures as a kid all great memories i dont want to let go of. thanks for listening have an awesome day :)
Great stuff. I started collecting in 2017 after spotting something in a charity shop window. I have 4 kids (ages 12-20) and they and my wife always say to me why do you collect toys, your too old, they just sit in boxes, not even out on display etc. When we move to a bigger place or the kids grow older and move out I will have a dedicated space for them. I don't want display cases etc in my living room as they are for my own personal enjoyment. I don't want or need any approval. I was a very shy kid and grew up in a family without much money. Had a spell where my mum and dad had a job opposite a toy stall that used to sell Star Wars figures (late 80's). My mum and dad would have to take me with them on Saturdays so would give me money to buy 1 or 2 each weekend and, if my dad had a little win on the fruit machines during his breaks, he would treat me to a few more. On a good day I would get 5-6. I mention this as, like you mentioned, my anxiety would disappear when I was just playing and creating stories so have a real nostalgia for them. I did also have some TMHT figures, a small collection of Robocop figures, a couple of He-man figures and the castle which an old lady next door bought me for my birthday too (and was later given a carrier bag full of He-man figures by friend of my mums) but it was the Star Wars I enjoyed most. We didn't have money for the vehicles so never had any. Now I collect the 3.75" figures and vehicles. I love the old, un-carded figures as much as i love the carded ones. I don't spend big money either so don't own a Yak Face or Amanaman etc. As I have a lot of modern carded figures my family don't understand why I want old, worn, loose limbed figures as well, which frustrates me as ultimately a collection is a personal thing and should be respected for that. Anyways, enjoyed your video a lot (apologies for the long story). All the best.
For me the reason i collect is nostalgia. When i was a kid my parents use to work all the time and basically the television raised me.I grow up in the 80s and 90s so i was a fan a Ghostbusters,Back to the future,Rocky, gremlins,Freddy,Chucky just to name a few and today i collect action figures and autographed pictures from all those amazing movies from my childhood. Also when i was a kid we ad video club to go rent a movie in VHS format and i still remember that pop corn scent, amazing memories.
I collect action figures because it reminds me of the simple times in childhood. But most importantly it reminds me of the joyous times walking with my dad to the store to look for toys. He’s a big part of why I love Batman and Superman so much.
The best way someone described my love for collecting figures. Is a comment my stepdad said that I'm an antique collector which is a very good term as they are many different types of collectors out there.
To anyone out there who has called Supersorrel pathetic what is wrong with you? Are you so unhappy you have to be negative and try to bring someone down who hasn't wronged you in any way? To me he is an inspiration through and through, a man who has overcome so much and yet remains so absoloutely positive and spreads that good vibe through his content. He made being locked down in covid so much easier for me. We have also touched base a few times through messages and he is a great guy. I am 44 years old and i buy at least 2 to 5 figures a week weather its a marvel legend, a black series and even occasional 1/6 figures and i couldn't be happier. Ash i love you mate, thank you for being who you are and ignore the haters!
My freaking hero! I am a follow toy collector as well and I enjoy toys the same as you. Who needs to drink when I could spend a whole day off from work playing with my tons of Military Micro Machines? I like your vision adulting. That's the way life should be, just being yourself. Keep on collecting.
I will when I get out of work and battle those Terror Troops! 😆 So, I'm new to your channel and just noticed this video and was curious about the kind of toys you collect and enjoy? For example, I only collect figures and toys from my childhood era, things like Waterworld figures, Power Rangers T2 figures, Military Micro Machines, as well as Jurassic Park and so many others that are based on movies or T.V. shows from my childhood. Do you collect things like this or do you do more modern stuff? I think I heard you say something about having some toys from the 80's as well as a few throwback Hasbro type toys.
ive scaled back my collection alot this past year. im focusing on star wars right now and basically collecting all things star wars toys :P so its fun!
I love your message and just everything about this video. Thank you for helping me to feel like it's okay to love what I love and to be in touch with my inner child. I was also one that was bullied as a kid and my toys and being able to tell stories and play was my favorite thing where I could be myself. It takes a lot to love ourselves and recognizing the things that make this hobby special is so important. Thank you so much for this!
Wow I guess I am spoiled being from Texas, but nobody tells me what I should or should not collect! Lol! Seriously, I enjoy it very much and I am 63 years old. Maybe it started when I was a kid with asthma and when I was sick in bed my Mother always brought me something to keep me busy. Comic books, trading cards, or books. Toys were a bit limited in the 60's as compared to now. But it's much easier to collect things we enjoy than to spend money on unhealthy habits , or be stressed out. My secret I think is inheriting a big kid inside just like my Mother. That big kid keeps my life fun and helps me cope with illness at times. Thank you for sharing, I look forward to more videos from you! :)
Don't let haters put you down. Keep collecting no matter what they say. I started collecting since I was a kid. Now that I'm 31 I still collect toys and feel like when I started.
I especially liked what you said about how you are collecting some pieces that you never had to experience them for the first time. That’s exactly where I’m at with my retro video game collecting.
Man this video is really great. I have to admit, when I first discovered your channel I found myself judging you on your past time. My opinion has completely flipped as its so obvious that this is something that makes you really happy. People are often very surprised that I collect toys. They seem to think it's either childish or 'nerdy' - I'm an extremely fit gym junkie that owns/runs a martial arts center full time. I also had the same experience being born in '93 of going to Op Shops and Sunday markets, being given $20 a week to buy stuff. I'd always be getting Extreme Dinosaurs, Street Sharks, Ninja Turtles and Thunderbirds (the hefty tin vehicles made crashing into wooden block or lego structures really fun!) I really love your channel mate, its so cool to see this stuff. Disregard the haters. They've obviously nothing better to do with their lives.
Love your positive energy man! I got out of a horrendous relationship and realised toys reminded me of simpler times! I also discovered I had all this extra money that I no longer needed to spend on my partner and I became very self indulgent. Love your story man, keep up the good work! TMNT are my vice: Playmates, Neca, Super7 you name it!
ahh man thanks for sharing your story. next week i got the first video about me and my toy life ive had alot of people ask to hear more of the story so stay tuned for that :) thanks again
Hey SS, I just started collecting last year and I've already amassed a pretty large collection. Plus I'm in my late 40's, so you can never be too old to collect. I love your videos. Never stop doing what you love and are passionate about. 👍
Keep doing what you’re doing SS! I love collecting becuase I also feel like a kid again and I love to play with my collection! Nothing wrong with that! Keep on collecting man!
Brilliant. This is the first time seeing one of your videos and it is refreshing to see someone who loves the hobby in a pure way. The sheer joy of play - which everyone seeks as you mentioned - is something to hold onto. I am the same and not only did I illustrate my own comics, I write for the same reason you do. I keep a few things in package for display reasons, not for resale. Thanks for sharing your passion! I am 45 and still collecting!
A lot of this resonated with me, too! Following a life-changing head injury in childhood, toys were the perfect forum for storytelling during years of rehabilitation. May the collecting Force be with you, bud! Always. 😊
I heard that the definition of pure joy is doing what you enjoyed doing at seven. I loved cartoons and action figures, and for me, that is like a window to the past. I find it tends to bring back memories i had totally forgotten. I was an 80s kid, so Voltron Transformers, Masters of the Universe, etc. Pure joy. 😊
Greetings fellow man child, I greatly appreciate your collecting and love for toys. As a child toys were the one thing that got my brothers and I through a tuff childhood when our father left us and that's why I continue to collect and enjoy toys and I'm thankful to those pieces of plastic. Keep up the great work my friend and God bless you!
As long as you're not hurting no one or yourself compared to drinking this is a healthy hobby as long as you don't go overboard. enjoy the video man, I also collect figures , make stop motions and write my own storys!
Hey brother, great to see you still love and enjoy collecting. Here 45 still collecting since childhood, if you dont believe look at one of our videos, life has given us its share of hiccups in life. The one thing that has always been a guarantee is collecting. Our movies, comics, action figures, statues, gives me the spark in life that is needed to deal with everyday krazyyyy. Cheers mate
Nice collection sir. I'm 66 and have a small collection of action figures myself. Maybe 40 or so. Universal Studios, Some Marvel stuff, McFarlane. All in package. Not much really but I like em. Now I collect vintage paperbacks from the 50's and 60's. Mostly science fiction. A few pulps. I understand why your hobby makes you happy. Keep on collecting. God bless.
Never stop being you buddy, you're enjoying a healthy hobby and that's fantastic! I've been collecting since the 80's and I have no intention of stopping any time soon! Huzzah!
I collect because it brings the comics and movies I love to life. There is nothing better then looking on the shelf and being able to see a character right there. Anyone that complains or says arent you too old can just worry about their own life.
I collect because it makes me happy and I never really got out of the habit of collecting all though my life, it just makes me happy every time I get a new figure and takes a lot of stress out of my mind so that’s probably why I will always be a collector. Great video as always 👍
As a kid I used to love using the "monster in my pocket" range to have wars or even play football on the subbetteo set. It was such great escapism. I was always so jealous of my friends - they had all the fashionable figures - turtles, batman 89, Ghostbusters. I had the Hasbro wrestlers and would go to my cousin and he had them all! Now I'm an adult I can afford what I want. And I want to play these games with my child. But I also want that nostalgia - the figure for me is a moment of pop culture time. I went to see Wrestlemania 32 so I have collected the figures from that WM and displayed them. I love MCU, so I collected the funko pops to recreate the final battle in Avengers Endgame. What joy. My marvel select and legends collection is getting stored for now. Great video. Great nostalgia.
Just discovered your channel a few weeks ago! Great to see a channel that's just fun without the pretentiousness. All kinds of reasons why I collect, being an 80s child watching all the great cartoons, being a Kiwi so Lord of the Rings played a big part getting me into collecting, spending a bit of time in Japan and seeing all the awesome crazy stuff there, comics, art, cool characters and a bit of good old fun with a dash of escapism too. Keep doing your thing, hopefully friends and family have been doing okay with covid there in the UK and keep having fun!
Something I have noticed is that _everyone_ collects something. Be it comics, videogames, figurines, movies, cups, cigarette lighters or whatnot. I once sold my few childhood piggy banks on a flee market and they went instantly to a woman who even mentioned that she collects that sort of stuff.
Hello from a fellow toy collector 👋😄 I'm a toy collector my self. When I look at my collection it fills my heart with pure joy 😄 love from the USA ❤️🤍💙 dont let the haters get to you, they're just jealous 😏👍
I love your positive outlook, it can be a rare thing is this community sometimes. Boot sales were a big part of my childhood too, great to hear about your story.
I collect cos I like to play with my toys, and just like you, that nostalgia of easier times before bills and such, I relate to you so much in this video! I loved carboots growing up, grandparents used to take me to carboots, I'd go rummage through the toy boxes under the tables! I collect cos it makes me happy. I think that's the root of it! Great video dude!
Watching your videos brings a lot of joy seeing how excited you are when you find and review a new figure. DO NOT listen to the haters! I enjoy collecting Star Wars figures mostly, some Marvel, and some DC. Collecting Star Wars and G.I. Joe reminds of when my brother and I were younger and playing together. Keep up your videos and collecting! Thank you for your video!!
You are completely in the norm my friend... it’s those other people who are weird . Thanks for sharing .... my reason is nostalgia and it helps me escape the realities of this world and the way it is now .. again thanks 🙏🏾
First off i would like say thank you for sharing your story. I Started collecting pretty much since my teens starting with comics which evolved into model kits ,action figures and the like. I grew up in a rough neighborhood where i stayed clear of bad crowds and my only outlet was sci-fi ,fantasy related stuff be it toys, movies.later on in life it became like art collecting .We are all unique in our own way ,and no one should place labels because they do not agree with how a person differs from another .I believe Nerdzoic summed it up best ,grow old ,but never grow up . I am new to your videos as i have just subscribed ,but i believe i will be here for quite some time .Best of luck in all your endeavors my friend ,never stop collecting . It's what keeps us young.
Thanks Louis! i totally appreciate you subbing the channel and thanks for coming over from big nerdys channel hes a good friend of the channel. im glad you liked this video i had to make it as i was gettin down seeing all the abuse people get online and wanted to share my thoughts and feelings on it. so im glad it resonated with you and i hope to see you around the comments in future videos have a great day!
Great video man! Avid toy collector as well and meet the same question marks. Almost like our type of nerds/geeks walk a good deal of the same path. Stay you man!
When you don't know somenthing usually you are scared or you don't find a logic explanation to that. Most of the people out of this world do not really understand how this is a healty and fun addiction which works a lot for immagination and play as it should be done, in a world running that fast which offers you a huge ammount of contents just to make you consuming faster and faster, I truly believe that is a massive blessing having people like you talking about this kind of things becasue this is one of the multiple ways to try to save our mind health and try to make our kids growing with values and apreciation of patience and good things with the right timing and most importantly in the right way. Thank you!
You are just awesome mate and thanks for all the great videos! Your collection is brilliant and my favourite is Deadpool sitting with Kermit The Frog, pure genius. Take care and much love bro💖
I'm a 90's kid myself, I was born March 26, 1988. I grew up poor and never had a lot of toys either. I always use buying star wars stuff as a reward for reaching a goal. Great video btw. Also, I'm looking forward to the next archive collection black series wave coming out with the obiwan and princess leia whenever they come out.
Bro… I shed a tear listening to this. You nailed it on the head so many times and for the first time-I felt SEEN. Thank you friend. Not only have I immediately subb’d but I can’t wait to see what’s next from you! Happy Holidays and keep on being AWESOME!! ❤️🤓😎🤘🏾✊🏾 (PS, with great collecting comes great responsibility!)
Thank you for sharing your story! Definitely makes me feel less lonely in the toy community. I know there are people out there that collect toys. I see that through social media, sometime I'm like dang you live not too far from me. As a figure and doll Collector I get things said to me that toys are for kids. I think it's for everyone. As long as your happy in whatever your hobbies you like doing that's all that matters at the end of the day.
Thanks for sharing in such an open way- for what it's worth I love watching your vids as you seem genuinely happy when you're adding a new figure to the collection! I know I'm late commenting here but only just saw this vid today 😮
Collecting brings me back to a simpler and happier time before I realised that that time was as good as it was ever going to get. Adult collectors are on the rise as they also realise growing up is not what it promised to be.
Great video, I'm 46 and collect now more than ever. It's something me and my children love to do together, toy hunting, playing, displaying. All great fun. Those shelves look amazing, always enjoyed your content, keep it up. All the best 👍
wow you just unlocked an old memory i forgot about hahaha yeah i totally remember them little 2 inch high figures chunky little things if i remember haha
well said. awesome. thanx a lot for sharing your thoughts and insights and reasons for collecting. you have great videos. an impressive collection and the love of toys shows in everything you do. it’s great that we all have this shared community also. Every one of us loves these toys and we all love sharing, watching each other’s videos and talking toys. it’s so awesome!
With companies like NECA, Hasbro, McFarlane and Super 7 recreating these figures and characters from our childhood it's easy to feel like a child again reguardless of a steeper pricetag. 35 and still collecting. Love it.
I'm 53. I'm female. I collect action figures, pops and dolls. It all makes me happy and no one has any right to tell me I'm too old. I'll always be a kid at ❤️
@@SuperSorrell the hey guys it's SuperSorrell thanks for tuning in, I generally skip that but but the calmer version in this video I liked, seemed more genuine if that makes sense?
@@chriseason7769 yeah sure i get that to be fair this vid did come direct from the heart so needed to be a bit sombre than normal lol but thanks for your thoughts n feedback man
Enjoy hour hobby! It's your life anyway. 😁 The start of the video got me hooked and the background music worked really well with it, but damn your intro scared me bad, because of the sudden upbeat music. 😂
F what people think. You do what makes you happy. I'm 33 and I love collecting toys. I just got 12 20inch star wars figures today and it was like Christmas when they got dropped off. I buy from the shops the odd times but I mainly buy all my toys second hand. I love the hunt of finding something new. The best toys I think have to be second hand because the shops just can't remake the old style toys that we grew up with. They bring a great memory of our childhood back to us. I don't think I'll ever stop doing what I love so let the haters talk while I recreat my childhood.
amazing collection man! I collect as well and I also questioned this myself recently. Though I wish to have at least half of your collection someday! I love collecting and it's very nostalgic to remember those days when we played our toys!
Great video ...thank you .... I started collecting early 2000s...as a kong fan my first figure was King Kong then moved to universal monsters ...now its Gremlins ,Rocky ,Predator , Harry Potter , Lord of the Rings, star wars to name a few ...thank you for the videos they are great..
Prachtig verhaal, blijf lekker verzamelen, het geeft mij tenminste enorm veel ontspanning ! Geweldige collectie heb je,Kermit en Spiderman zittend naast elkaar, cool !!! Top kerel ben je!
The first sentence was so spot on, even though i have lots of hobbies one that will never die will be buying action figures and toys. And im 29 with children of my own, recommended ages are warnings about small parts, the + on those labels has no limitations. Fantastic video Mate 💪
I've been collecting for about a decade now and I totally agree with your opinion on collecting. I definitely think there is something that drives us to want more and more figures!! Keep up the quality videos😁👍
I missed this somehow when it was originally released. I am winding down my collection big time and only keeping my absolute top of the top favorites and if any of my favorite X-men characters get re-released I will collect those. Even though I am stepping back I want to continue to follow your channel to enjoy your excitement even if I am not buying as much as I was in recent years. Thanks for your channel and sharing your story with all of us!!
Really nice video. I was badly bullied at school and was pretty much a loner i have a few disabilities too and playing with figures as a kid was much more fun then being around all the bullies at school haha. When I was a kid we didn't have much money and didn't have the internet so it was rare we could get to shops and if we did was quite limited to what I could buy. Now I am older it's nice to be able to get hold of so much figure wise Marvel, Doctor Who, Neca and Mcfarlane stuff. I have also been judged by other people saying it's a "bad habit" for me to collect figures but it makes me happy so why shouldn't it I always think. Ignore the mean comments sadly they are everywhere and every page people being rude you do whatever makes you happy.
Thanks for sharing your story Ash. The world can be very cruel. Screw the haters, they know nothing about you. Part of why I collect is because I was very shy and didn't have many friends, and like you toys were and still are an outlet for my imagination. Godzilla toys in particular have been memorable gifts of great kindness. My grandmother's last present to me when I was 12 before she passed was a Godzilla figure. Then, before her memorial ceremony in Japan, a family friend knew that I had wanted a particular kaiju figure and surprised me with it to cheer me up. So, Godzilla and toy collecting in general will always be a part of me. Cheers and take care man, keep it up 😊👍
Love this. 100% relatable, even in the being a 90s kid obsessed with 80s stuff (my brother is a decade my elder so i got allot passed from him) and because of that MOTU is my fave, and let me tell you, what a time it is to be a MOTU fan haha
Great video. I'm looking forward to more in this series. My figures and my dolls mean the world to me. I can just look at them and become happy. I think my love of toys is part of the reason I get along so well with children. When they talk I know what characters they're talking about or if I don't I listen and learn. When I look at a figure or doll I play in my head their story from the cartoon or movie or make up a new one. I say on the outside I'm 54 (55 in a couple of weeks) and 12 on the inside.
Never want to grow up! I start collecting toys since high school,it was the grand inquisitor of star wars the rebles. 2016 got into the Gundam 00 world ,after that it grow bigger and bigger. Star Wars/Marvel/DC/Robots/Horror movie figure/Tron/Frozen/Tangled/Lord of the rings...... I love movies, so I collect movie action figures, go to store to hunt those figure that I love , it is a hobby but also a dream. surround in a room by DVDs/Figures/movie props/Comics Keep going, dont stop , be positive!!
I agree 100% man. I was talking with my wife (who loves my hobby by the way) last night about this same motivation that I have in collecting the action figures of characters I love. At 14-15 I was still staying home playing with my 90's action figures XD while my friends were going out to parties and stuff. Good vibes bud.
I collect for a variety of complex reasons - ultimately it's a fun hobby and I enjoy it! Definitely relate to lots of what you're saying dude. As for anyone that wants to hate, like you said, it's simply not for them. Great video as always 💪🏼
I'm with you SS for me an 80s kid so yeah I had Star wars Motu especially gijoe so it takes me back to a special time and it's better then ever let's keep collecting.
That's an awesome collection. I am going to be 50 years old this May and I still collect toys and read comic books. I've been collecting since 1987. I am successful enough not to work and have multiple other hobbies. But the most flack I get is for collecting action figures. I once fired a Realtor for calling me the 40 year old virgin. I am married with one kid and a bunch of pet birds. Lately I am getting hate for having birds. People just got to find something to hate on. Enjoy your hobby and be happy.
Do you think your collection will evolve where u might start to buy statues or hot toys?
Nice vid btw
Yeah, all you said in this video is absolutely true. Collecting toys is a hobby or passion, i'm 32 and im back to starting collecting toys again and that's never too late. Toys are not only made by plastic they are also made with nostalgic memories of childhood.
This is why we love your channel mate, you are open, approachable and a genuine nice bloke who shares the same enthusiasm that we all do for toys. I started collecting at 37/38 a new hobby for me during lockdown and whilst I've spent a lot I don't regret it at all.
Your a good guy and I always look forward to your reviews ....
I know there's a large number of us in this community but sometimes it's great to see things like this and remember we aren't alone. 👍👏
thanks Jamie :)
Amen
No truer words have been spoken on behalf of us Collectors. Brothers in collecting, I can live with that.
thanks i totally appreciate that :)

Way to turn the negativity into something positive. Props bro. Nothing wrong with collecting figures.
thank you totally appreciate it :)
Hey Sorrell! I just watched your video and it moved me a lot. Anyways, enjoyed your video a lot (apologies for the long story). All the best.
Hope you never stop collecting SuperSorrel. I love seeing your passion for it through each of these videos and the dozens of fandoms you explore.
i will never stop haha im addicted to this hobby :)
Glad you enjoyed the video, thank you very much for watching!! Have an awesome day!
Collecting is is unequivocally safer than clubbing!
hahaha yes it is!
The best way someone described my love for collecting figures. Is a comment my stepdad said that I'm an antique collector which is a very good term as they are many different types of collectors out there.
thats a good way of looking at it, thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed the video, thank you very much for watching!! Have an awesome day!
I will when I get out of work and battle those Terror Troops! 😆
So, I'm new to your channel and just noticed this video and was curious about the kind of toys you collect and enjoy?
Thank you so much for this!
thank you for understanding :) always be yourself no matter what :)
thanks for sharing :) have an awesome day and thanks for watching the video :)
Don't let haters put you down. Keep collecting no matter what they say. I started collecting since I was a kid. Now that I'm 31 I still collect toys and feel like when I started.
Thanks man appreciate the kind words :)
I collect because they are fun to look at. It’s art that also appreciates in time.
I especially liked what you said about how you are collecting some pieces that you never had to experience them for the first time. That’s exactly where I’m at with my retro video game collecting.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'd always be getting Extreme Dinosaurs, Street Sharks, Ninja Turtles and Thunderbirds (the hefty tin vehicles made crashing into wooden block or lego structures really fun!)
I really love your channel mate, its so cool to see this stuff.
They're not toys, they're "decorative pieces" is what I like to tell people.😁
Thank you very much! glad you liked my vid and i hope i can maybe convince you to sub the channel to see more vids have an awesome day :)
@@SuperSorrell Done! Just finished watching a video from a few months back, your box o' horror figs. Nice! Yeah, love Sam! I got a NECA one, too.
@@matthewgmcmillan4436 i love sam im trying to collect every piece of merchandise they release for him :)
Thank you for that video, I think its really cool that you collect and thankyou for bringing joy to people like me 🙂
Hey brother, great to see you still love and enjoy collecting.
God bless.
thanks Alvin, stay safe buddy have a good one :)
Never stop being you buddy, you're enjoying a healthy hobby and that's fantastic! I've been collecting since the 80's and I have no intention of stopping any time soon! Huzzah!
I’m so grateful I was able to hear your story Love you brother
Thank you brother, I appreciate your comment. have an awesome day
I collect because it brings the comics and movies I love to life.
Ignore the people who give you grief.
That's the internet. They do not matter.
thank you, that means alot to me
Just discovered your channel a few weeks ago!
Keep doing your thing, hopefully friends and family have been doing okay with covid there in the UK and keep having fun!
thanks Neil. Im glad you enjoy my videos. thank you for watching and subbin the channel i totally appreciate it :)
Something I have noticed is that _everyone_ collects something. Be it comics, videogames, figurines, movies, cups, cigarette lighters or whatnot. I once sold my few childhood piggy banks on a flee market and they went instantly to a woman who even mentioned that she collects that sort of stuff.
i love toy collecting keep the love going mate you got some cool bits there
Thanks 👍 im glad you like the videos have ana wesome day
Hello from a fellow toy collector 👋😄 I'm a toy collector my self. When I look at my collection it fills my heart with pure joy 😄 love from the USA ❤️🤍💙 dont let the haters get to you, they're just jealous 😏👍
Well said! thanks for sharing always nice to meet a fellow collector :)
You actually brought up a major reason I collect as an adult. I can get toys I couldn’t afford as a kid and that’s awesome
This video will help a bunch of young people getting into collecting so thank you and it's also so inspiring
thank you im glad im able to pass this message onto other younger collectors :)
Thank you so much!! i appreciate your awesome comment
i love your passion for collecting. you have a wonderful collection. take care always
Just do what makes you happy 😊 I'm 27 and I collect black series and star wars comics, and I'm proud to say I do 😎
Sorry to hear about the haters :( Haters will ALWAYS hate. You do you and what makes you feel happy mate. Keep the great content coming through!
Yhea those late 90's lego star wars sets were AMAZING, nice discussion supersorrell, Do you remember Mini military muscle men?
wow you just unlocked an old memory i forgot about hahaha yeah i totally remember them little 2 inch high figures chunky little things if i remember haha
Hey man, keep it on! I've been watching your videos with pleasure! Thanks!
i collect because of tv shows and movies
thats cool! whats your favourite thing to collect?
@@SuperSorrell dinosaurs and lions and tigers and tmnt
well said. awesome. thanx a lot for sharing your thoughts and insights and reasons for collecting.
you have great videos. an impressive collection and the love of toys shows in everything you do.
it’s great that we all have this shared community also.
I'll always be a kid at ❤️
Love your content man! I’m a big fan! Found you through the Disney Toybox line. Keep up the amazing work 💪🏼
Much prefer the lower key intro of SuperSorrell as opposed to over the top version. Good video mate.
do you mean the intro song? or do you mean the way i did the intro for this video? not as loud and hyper lol?
@@SuperSorrell the hey guys it's SuperSorrell thanks for tuning in, I generally skip that but but the calmer version in this video I liked, seemed more genuine if that makes sense?
@@chriseason7769 yeah sure i get that to be fair this vid did come direct from the heart so needed to be a bit sombre than normal lol but thanks for your thoughts n feedback man
@@SuperSorrell probably me getting old and not liking loud noise hehe. You do you!
Spot on. My toys and films were my comfort as a kid and young adult.
Awesome video.
Enjoy hour hobby! It's your life anyway. 😁
The start of the video got me hooked and the background music worked really well with it, but damn your intro scared me bad, because of the sudden upbeat music. 😂
ahhhh sorry hahaha thanks for watching haha
What an awesome collection... nice one man :)
I love toys! Thank you for sharing this video!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your channel and sharing your story with all of us!!
thanks Joshua! im glad you like my videos and content i product it means alot and thanks for sharing your story here too!
Watching RUclipsrs like you, EightySixed Reviews and Fwoosh got me back into collecting
This literally is a good hobby
it sure is :)
Very similar situation myself. Very shy kid, bullied at school, not much cash in the family. Used to drift away into play and forget the anxiety.
Awesome to hear this cause I feel represented in some ways 🥲
thats awesome im glad to hear that :)
Loved your story and your toys 🤖👾 keep being a nice hearted guy
Great video. I'm looking forward to more in this series. My figures and my dolls mean the world to me. I can just look at them and become happy. I think my love of toys is part of the reason I get along so well with children. When they talk I know what characters they're talking about or if I don't I listen and learn. When I look at a figure or doll I play in my head their story from the cartoon or movie or make up a new one. I say on the outside I'm 54 (55 in a couple of weeks) and 12 on the inside.
One if my favourite figures is my Storm Hawks Stork figure. I got very lucky finding it.
Thanks for articulating something a lot of us feel.
always. thanks for watching
Do what makes you happy. I have a huge toy collection at 42 . Action figures bring me much more happiness than most people I come across👍🏿
agreed thnak you
Never want to grow up!
I start collecting toys since high school,it was the grand inquisitor of star wars the rebles.

I love movies, so I collect movie action figures, go to store to hunt those figure that I love , it is a hobby but also a dream.
surround in a room by DVDs/Figures/movie props/Comics
Keep going, dont stop , be positive!!
im the same man i believe the phrase is, grow older, not up! :)
I subscribed :)) .. you are the man bro
Thanks for the sub! welcome aboard!! really appreciate the support
I collect for a variety of complex reasons - ultimately it's a fun hobby and I enjoy it! Definitely relate to lots of what you're saying dude. As for anyone that wants to hate, like you said, it's simply not for them. Great video as always 💪🏼
I'm with you SS for me an 80s kid so yeah I had Star wars Motu especially gijoe so it takes me back to a special time and it's better then ever let's keep collecting.
loved this story and makes me feel good .top man.
the people who don't get .well they can do one
I'm glad I ran across this... I missed it before somehow. Amazing bro.
