The build is split into two videos. in the first video you'll see how to create the actual stand, the platform and the stopping pins. This stand is awesome and allows me to keep both tools accessible if I need them, and out of the way when they aren't. This stand is the perfect addition to any shop with limited space.

Never stop creating!
Just got the plans for these, looking forward to building mine this weekend
Jeey! A flip top stand with the exact two machines I want to put on it! Thanks!
Your welcome! Hope it can help in any way.
Superb mate, gonna do the same with my Ryobi chop saw and bench sander!
Mathew Gravener That’s awesome! that a great combination.
Thank you so much for making this! I'm looking to build something similar and your video and blog post we're super helpful.
Jeffrey Suda you are very welcome! I’m just glad I could help. If you haven’t seen part two, make sure you watch it. Thanks for your comment!
I just finished one...different design. I put my planner and mitre saw on it...works great and frees up counter space 🙂
That’s awesome! Send me a picture, id like to see it!
Hey bud, I like your video, going to check out the rest, love the idea of the tool set up, I’m thinking of building something similar until I can get back to making atv videos. Thanks for the inspiration.
Dirty South Off Road no problem. Glad I could help!
Good work. i have same Ryobi, i will build one.
Go for it!
I like several elements of your design over those I've seen in other videos. I just picked up a new sliding compound miter saw, and am looking to build something similar for my planer and miter. Where is part 2? I'm really interested to see how you did the fold-up arms. Thanks!
AmplifyDIY that’s great! It should be finished here in the next couple weeks. This summer has been crazy. Glad to hear you are interested in how I made them!
The Poor Man's Workshop looking forward to the next video. might subscribe if you make it.
@@bryanwooley6550 I don't know if you ever got to see part two of this build, but the video is up. I just wanted to let you know
This is awesome, I'm going to grab the plans. How did you manage to get the outfeed table \ wings to be level with each tool?
Thanks! I made sure that the platform was just lower than the in and out feed table of both my tools. Then you can shim the tools up to the exact right hight to be level with the wings. I’m pretty sure Explain that all in the build plans
Just curious why you are locking down the steel pipe to the platform? Seems like your concentrating all your wear to a small area instead of dispersing it along the entire platform? Just curious. Great build!
Great questions. I mainly did this so I could control the wear and tear to the outside of the stand instead of inside the platform. And the platform was a little shifty without securing it which can through off the precise measurements for the miter saw. I definitely see your point though. In my version 2 I’ll be adding some metal rings that go into the side, around the pipe where the pipe makes contact with the sides. That way there will be metal on metal contact instead of metal on wood. What do you think?
Are there still plans for this?
Bummer. The blog post links are dead... Would've been nice to read it.
I agree - chrome, Google & Safari would not open any of your links to the plans.
Hi Taylor do you have plans available . I consider this the best flip top on the tube . Awesome
Hey Robert I don’t have any comprehensive plans for this build yet, but I be had a few people asking for them so I should probably get those designed out. Once I do I’ll let you know. Thanks for the compliment! I’ll be building version 2 later this years. It’ll be much improved on this version. Thanks again!
thanks for your response to my ?. Looking forward to purchase plans along with updated version. One of the better of the the flip tops on the tube for plainer and miter saw combo
Love the concept! A year later any troubles or changes? Anything you would do different?
Great question. I would make the fence supports a little more beefy and secure. I would also add a centralized place for both tools to be plugged into. And add a possible centralized dust port for both tools. Those are the challenges for version 2 coming up in the next few months! Thanks.
Just Purchased the plans, do you have them in metric? Pretty hard to understand the old imperial measurements
Sorry I don’t. Thanks for purchasing them! I hope they still help either way.
@@SaltCityWorkshop They will, I'll just converted them and alter it to fit. Do you happen to have the Sketchup available? I can convert easier, thank you for the great plans
Anyway, moral of the story is the question: “do you trust a man wearing skinny jeans or not? I dare say this is the question”
Haha. Actually I wear joggers. But yes, you can always trust a man in skinny jeans.
I'm a poor man indeed lol
Haha, If your hobby is woodworking, you're poor,
lets face it.
No frame for stand? No 2/4’s ? You really think just screwin the plywood together is strong enough?
Yes it’s strong enough, screws and glue are for sure strong enough. I’ve had this built for three years now and it isn’t showing any signs of stress!
DAY-DOUGH.... Jeesh.
That’s what I said..
