- Max Verstappen is joined by his Oracle Red Bull Racing race engineer, GP, for an @Oracle Virtual Lap of the Miami Autodrome, based at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, on @EA Sports F1. The Dutch Formula 1 driver does pull a fair few Gs around the lap, as displayed on the Oracle Dashboard.

@@colinbeckstrand2612 yeah this more E-sports rig. Definitely not their actual simulator....that's a million dollar plus piece of machinery with actuators etc to simulate ride-heights, going over a kerb and so on with custom software... none of the teams actually show their simulators.

@@tylerjennings8242 its still a left/right, but the old way the left turn was more than 90 degree and now its less than 90 degrees. Thats why Max was surprised since he had to stear in harder in this run because he trained for the newer layout where the turn is not as sharp.
@@mscbijles1256they changed the Track for 2023…the game layout is the old one…
You can turn the center column/support of the halo off, into a single few pixel line, to give you that "see around" effect.
These 2 at just in their little bubble once the racing starts.
Turn 8 and turn 14 are chaos
Where do we get the platform that’s underneath the sim rig?
You'll have a nice headwind into 1 8, and 13 that'll help, although it'll make the entry to the back straight and braking for the final hairpin trickier.

I drive in first person view myself and it is, as max says, super unrealistic to see the column since your eyes just cut it our irl.

It genuinely can be, assuming you can get over the fear aspect as any F1 driver will have. You will feel the car much better and you will see much clearer and with the ability to properly look into corners in real life. Using a VR headset and/or a higher end cockpit setup can help, but having the car underneath you still makes a big difference.
He was just referring to the halo in game, the fact that you see the whole damn thing in the game while in real life you will not see it, because of eye focus, that's all. Actually in games like iracing they have the halo blurred out to emulate this.

Miami is the track where the bad physics, braking behaviour, and especially the inconsistent grip levels of the official F1 game really becomes apparent. The first corner, and going on the gas after (without driving aids, on a wheel that is) is just horrendous compared to something like the formula hybrid in AC.
The real question is if he can complete it in W17 and with Bono by his side 😏

He doesn't usually drive on f1 23. The handling is notoriously unrealistic, although it has gotten much better this year. If he got the time to adapt to the f1 23 car he would be much faster.
@@DiamondFireball@DiamondFireball have you heard him talk about it? Hes stated multiple times this past year it isnt unrealsitic. There sre some flaws but he said the braking poijrs are the same. The lines are the same even the way you have to get on the throttle is the same. His laps are usually better it wss just this. Also did you see hin compsre his real laps with his lap on f1 2023? It was almost identical like 6 months ago when they did the side by side. I believe trolls make it out like the game is so unreslistic. Meanwhile there side by sides are very very similiar. He even points out these things while racing. Which corners he need to watch out for which ones he doesnt etc.
2024 should help with the things its missing
Also he does drive f1 2023 it's just he mains iracing. He's explained that the f1 2023 is much better then past and that it can def teach you the basics. But he will always prefer iracing as he's always doing f1 racing he said he likes driving other cars when at home.
Again it has its flaws it isn't perfect but he can get very similiar laps to real life he just had a bad run here.
His biggest problem is he said in real life he can see much easier.
@DiamondFireball he already is fast this was a bad lap again he's matched multiple tracks and laps he's done. They showed both side by aide he legit drives the same way in the game as he does in resl life it's pretty crazy to watch the aide by aide comparisons.
I believe they forgot to update the lap time.. it’s the same one they had for Shanghai. I was like there is no way I am almost 5 sec faster than Max on here 😂
