It's annoying that it's an "American" team, but now that Dmitry Mazepin made Urakali the title sponsor of the team, it has basically been adopted by the Russians as their team. I assume Gene Haas will pull out soon, and Mazepin will become the team's new owner, more or less.
They usually just repair the damage done to the car. It’s a lot cheaper to fix for example a ruined suspension and engine cover than making a whole new car.

When F1 was truly F1. Back when engines were on the ragged edge revving out to 19k RPM. Back when engineers would pray that the engine would survive another lap. The V8 engine in the M3 and V10 engine in the M5 were loosely based on this BMW F1 engine! I believe they were also produced in the same foundry as the F1 engine.
If anyone here who started watching F1 in 2014 or after you get to hear what a proper F1 car sounds like at the end of this video - glorious! I know they won’t but they should bring back 3.0L V10 in 2021 or at least 2.4L V8

I was just about to say i miss the real F1 sound. To answer this other guys question if you cant hear the different engine sound from back then to now your a rookie. F1 now the engine is just quiet. I've been watching F1 since 1988 i love that high pitch F1 sound. Nothing like it.
A F1 car is made in the exactly same way today. The only thing that changed is that some of the CAM, CAD and IEA tools have a higher capacity. But the manufacturing process itself is totally the same.
At 18:54 would you feel that tire wobble or is that common? I've never seen a car on a treadmill before so my only reference is bike tires with the bike on a stand or flipped.

The Chief Designer starts thinking about the new car in April already. In June the real work begins and usually in January the first chassis is finished. So you can say its April(when the designer starts to think about the new car and is putting together a specification sheet of about 30-40 pages for the new car)to January from zero to final product(even if the developement of the aero parts runs untill the first GP). The "real work" goes from June to January.

The bigger the model, the bigger the wind tunnel must be (and expensive) so in the scope of cost reduction FIA limited to 60% the scale of the model. It is common and necessary to use scale models: imagine creating a 1:1 wind tunnel for a commercial airliner or jet-fighter (not only for the size but the ability of creating 1000 km/h wind speed)
Könnte man das Getriebe weglassen und statt dessen einen hydrostatischen Antrieb einbauen. Die Pumpe ist mit dem Motor verbunden und dreht konstant schnell. Die Hinterachse wird von einem Hydromotor mit veränderbarem Schluckvolumen in Rotation versetzt. Man hat weniger bewegte Teile und mehr Wirkungsgrat. Also im Prinzip ein aerodynamischer getunter Gabelstapler.

I get what your saying but economy is the main reason as there’s no refuelling a v12 let’s say wouldn’t go race distance on a full tank. Sad but we will never see v12s v10s or v8s anymore
@@samrackham4774 even Nico Roseberg said he would like to have refueling and he also said and I believe with the current technology they could make it super safe with websites that wouldn't let fuel flowing unless the nozzle was proper secure to the car or cut the flow if the mechanic lifted the nozzle to early...

In 2021 F1 is now a prisoner to the carbon neutral movement. NA engines are seen as dinosaurs.
