Everyone interprets the meaning of words differently. It's called subjectivity. For example. What is beautiful? Who is beautiful? Your definition of that or meaning of that may be completely different than mine. As for critical race theory, you can't escape the fact that our country has a racist history and that racism still is influential in our society. Denying that doesn't make it go away. It's the elephant in the room at all times. In regards to what Whoopi said, Judaism isn't a race, it's a religion. The Jews in Nazi Germany were a persecuted group of people like gay people and mentally handicapped people were. The Nazi's persecuted all of them for whatever sick and disgusting reason they had. Their inhumanity led to millions of people killed all around the globe. Most notably Jews who were murdered systematically.

I have never agreed with whoopie Goldberg, we see things very different.
but this is one opinion of hers I will actually defend for a couple reasons,
#1 Judaism IS NOT A RACE. the majority of people Hitler killed anyways was mainly white Europeans, of course the main reason is because he was trying to take over Europe, and no doubt he would have started targeting other cultures after that if he succeeded, but it was certainly his ideology and hate/anger and not just race that motivated it.
#2 what does all forms of discrimination have in common? hate agaisnt their fellow humans like she said. anger and hate is at the core of all racism/sexism and any other discrimination
ironically this cancel culture we have going is also fueled by anger and hate too. you can disagree with someone and not want to destroy their livelihood and everything they have, which is what cancel culture wants. talk about intolerance.

That's not how being a public official is supposed to work, even though it kind of does (but it's by their own choice to be the talking heads of corporations in return for all those sweet kickbacks, instead of it being forced on them like they literally worked for those companies).

For starters, race is considered an ideology. Because of this, most scientists consider race to be a social construct and not biological. The above content supports this notion. We know our traits are visible, (the culprit, genes). Genetic variations do exist within, but not between racial communities/groups.
When categorizing phenotype are, there aren’t any differences between black, Asian or whites. In the aspect between human population, there is no established genetic difference, due to genetic flow that spilled into the modern world. False identification on “race,” has fallen on forensic anthropologists in India and the Middle-East.
Race: (in terms of Etymology) was a means to identify groups who shared a common descent. Around the late 1500's, the word: "race" was brought into the English language ( from french "rasse" -1512) coming from Italian "rasse."
The modern-day use (as you know ) was evolved into vile stigma to identify groups by there physical traits, looks/characteristics, as a human invention.
When the 17th century rolled around, the European philosophers placed their ideas on rationality, scientific study and secular reasoning. This opposed the established faith-based reasoning of the world.
Naturalist, (as well as philosophers) were too busy labelling the world around them and pushing propaganda in a newly structured belief system, (just as main stream religions have for political control, financial gain). Rome used a similar tactic which was later adopted by the birth of new religions and only grew worst when people like Karl Marx, whose philosophies fell into the hands of tyrants(like Hitler) and led to the death of over 2 million people and counting (the Holocaust being one of them). When they say a million people can't be wrong...I'd reconsider that notion wisely.
The new belief on "race," (returning to the 17th century) blossomed like a toxic flower throughout the 18th century. Natural laws now governed people. For centuries, they termed "white people" as inherently smarter...among many other lines of rubbish (for the record, I am white, German, French and mostly English). Now the "white's" were considered on top of the pecking order, (as far as the propaganda was concerned). The colonized Europeans had all the excuses they needed now and this regretfully, and remorsefully, led to the slavery of African people.
Regarding the European and Mediterranean regions, (well before the 16th century) enslavement was acceptable for people (such as myself) considered heathens, as well as beyond the realms of Christian known faiths. My ancestors were made into slaves because of this.
The reality is, we live in a really screwed up world with false ideas, and modern-day propaganda bleeding into the ears of our children/naive and as those children become adults...the vicious cycle continues to wage its war on mankind with destructive influence. Separating the crap, is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack and sometimes you just have to listen to your own voice and ignore the rest.
No one has mentioned her quote...."man's inhumanity to man" is a quote and theme to a Victor Frankle book called, Man's Seach for Idenity. He was a holocaust survivor and the book journals his experience. He is Jewish. Yes, racism is a factor to the persecution of the Jewish race, but his final conclusions were based on the end result was basically man's inhumanity to man. In other words it could happen and repeat to any race dominate by hate and control. I totally understand the reference, wis you could see the deeper reference or meaning.
Dr. Victor Frankl's book is titled Man's Search for *Meaning.*

The persecution of Jews was based on 1500 years of Christianity teachings against Jews (IMHO mainly a result of Christianizing Rome and Romanizing Christianity).

Us Americans usually set ours up based upon "ethnicities," but even that is just a super narrow grouping of genetic markers. There is no reason for us to look at "race," based upon that, but we've been trained for generations to, even though an older nationality based view of race would have us all the same people.

It baffles me that people's understanding of the vileness of the holocaust is fading. It was taught to me in school and should still be, and with all the information on the internet you would think people would be as aware of it as ever. Time erodes the impact of almost anything though, and unfortunately something as awful as the holocaust is no exception.
People think because Jews are often intelligent/successful, the bigotry against them isn’t as important as the bigotry against others (in Whoopi’s case it seems she only sees race as skin color). Meanwhile, anti semitism seems to more prevalent worldwide than racism. So ancestry dna tests can actually show which ethnic subdivision group their Jewish ancestors origins are rooted in. It's many things including a culture a religion and yes it's a people too. There are black Jews as Whoopi is. There are all kinds of Jews. Anybody that claims to be a Jew is one. Her last name is Goldberg. She has been and is Jewish. The term Jew has been deluted to mean whatever you want it to mean. Religion, Culture, Economics, Arts, and yes ethnicity. She is actually correct. The media should have looked into it. But politics trumps truth. The bullies are mocking her. But they are the actual idiots.
Sometimes people deserve to be suspended or fired over actions, but all too often somebody says something where he or she's trying to make a point, but it comes out wrong and there are people who need to get all offended over it. This is not one of those cases. She made a point and how people are all with their noses out of joint, I don't know.
Well only one side gets canceled when they say something that hurts to many feelings on the other side, or when its actually true, but will look to bad for the other side so its gotta be censored. Why was the lady fired from Disney again? how is what they said she did and their justification for firing her?

Moreover, they (the board, etc.), are "Jointly and Severally Liable", for their "collective" outrageous behavior, actions, and employment decisions towards Whoopie Goldberg!!!!!

This is a good eye opener...racist doesn't always mean you feel there is an inferior color, it means you feel there is an inferior ethnic group. Ethnicity is one's belonging to a particular social national or cultural group. You could have people of multiple skin colors but who have the same ethnicity, like people who have lived in one country for generations can be looked upon with racism by people from another country. And yes, there are obviously smaller groups where there is racism within the same nation, but people need to zoom out and see the big picture. Unfortunately, racism has been part of history since the beginning, but its not because of anyone's inferiority, it's because of the underlying darkness in man that likes to burst out and take over. Love one another, even those you don't like.

@O W umm you do know that those 2 things are not synonymous right. Jewish is both a race and religion but you can be one without the other. Therefore the context in which you are speaking likely refers to jews as a religion.
