I have found that cleaning up the image of dust spots and objects before editing is much more successful. LR offers so many editing options to meet each image maker's vision. Enjoyed the video and your approach to converting to B&W. Thank you.
Christian, You have made an explicit point of Black & White colour grading. Your beautiful landscape image in black and white has undergone a radical transformation. It is so stunning and elegant. I learned more about Highlights and shadows, Blacks and Whites from you. I am grateful to you for your creative insights and inspiration.
Beautiful image Christian that works so well as B& W. I get a bit lazy with B&W and tend to use the NIK collection silver efex pro but this has given me some inspiration to do it all from scratch in lightroom. I really enjoy your tutorials 👍
hello your mastery of masks in lightroom is a real revelation for us and an excellent way to learn, thank you for sharing your knowledge and your teaching could you make a tutorial with the fusion masks of lightroom to achieve lighting effects from the Harcourt studio in Paris, you are the only one who can do it thanks again @+
the spot healing/removal tool should be used before applying the masks. this is because the part of the masks in the affected area will be removed, and it will leave an ugly hard edge which can be seen in this image.

Thanks a lot!
Another great tutorial, thanks.
Great video as always. Thanks a lot for sharing it.
Excellent demo of how to process something for B&W. This was an ideal shot for it, to really emphasize the depth and texture.
Thank you so much!
Vielen Dank Christian, ich hab doch wieder einiges von Dir gelernt🙏🙏🙏
Freut mich sehr zu hören, vielen Dank!

Thanks a lot! There will be more b/w in the future for sure
Thanks Christian. When I asked about B/W some time ago you said you would at some time in the future, and you have delivered. Again, thank you.

Cleaning up the image first is probably the right way to do it, for me Im just sooo used to do that step last, I dont know why :-(
Ever since coming across your channel my editing skills have greatly improved. Thank you!!!

In the masking panel I’ve lost my Add and Subtract boxes do you know how to get them back.
Did you collapse the masking panel? This makes those buttons appear to be a lot smaller
