I’m curious if using the forbidden curses could effect the ending . Like a good ending where you finish the year and a bad ending where you end up in askaban
Honestly i was already pretty sold on this game (though still hesitant on the combat since they didn't show any UI or anything so not sure exactly how it'll function yet) BUT what solidified my hype was learning that we can learn the unforgivable curses and be evil cause like cmon...sometimes even the best of us gotta live out our little evil wizard fantasies lol
This NEEDS to be played on the channel, this will be available on both PC and console it's up to you what you want to play it on. It's nice that it's not gonna be exclusively just for PS5 and that its gonna come out for PS4 users as well!

I hate to offend anyone who likes Harry Potter but I really got tired of the movies because of the story and characters. However I will say this definitely looks like the first RPG game that might impress me. I’m still debating whether or not I should get it but I will say that it looks amazing.
@@gameking3278 try the books, the HP Movies have ruined the OG book characters. Also Books obviously have much better and immersive storyline. The movies don't show everything.

He almost got Harry and Ron killed when he told them to follow the spiders. You would think that a game keeper would understand wildlife better. In the book Hagrid actually gets himself captured because he stupidly tried to protect the spiders from the students before they delivered him to Voldemort. Harry is a complete idiot who can’t get anything done without so much help. The only reasons he survived his fight with the basilisk were because it was blinded by a phoenix, and he miraculously got the sword. Not to mention the fact that he never learns a single spell in the first year of Hogwarts but somehow manages to get promoted to second-year anyways. Ron is a complete jerk who constantly bullies, Harry and Hermione, whenever he gets angry and jealous. Dumbledore actually murdered his own sister to get the deathly hallows. Malfoy is a complete, and pathetic coward who spends most of the story bullying Harry, Hermione, and Ron, and when he finally has the chance to do some good, he just runs away. Hermione is extremely annoying, and answered every question with a paragraph amount of sentences to show off her intellect. Jinny is extremely boring and the only reason she existed was so that the protagonist could have a girlfriend. The story is full of so many plot holes. In the order of the Phoenix, Hermione and Ron snitch on Umbridge but only tell McGonagle. If they told Dumbledore instead, she would actually get fired. Harry told everyone that Voldemort killed Cedric, even though it was actually worm tail. Voldemort didn’t even have a wand at the time. In the first movie three Hogwarts teachers are sent to defeat a troll, even though he just gets defeated by Ron. If he’s that weak, why did he need three teachers to get sent after him? I could go on, but would be here for hours.
Totally agree. I hope you can pick & choose from friends and creatures to join you both in "downtime" (just roaming around) but also in actual missions/tasks. One mission having a Ravenclaw by your side, the next you might choose a Slytherin and a Unicorn 🤷♂️😊

Yeah I'm definitely going to get this when it comes out. They've been working on this game for years, I'm excited for it. I was so amazed that they put in the kitchen which ways in the book but not in the movies so it's is it going to be cool walking around to that plus the whole entire world. I'm either going to be in house Hufflepuff or Gryffindor because those are the only two houses I get whenever I do the test no matter what I put down.
This is such a child hood dream come true😭❤️. Im SOOO excited for this. It completely blew every expectation i had out of the water, cannot wait to play this on my deck 🎮
My goooodddd, I've been playing so much all of the HP games on PC, rewatching movies and read all the books when I was a kid and freaking loved every single piece of all of that! It's about damn time someone finally makes a very in-depth game about this universe where you can explore so much stuff and really immerse yourself in that world! The only thing is left to hope - is that they really take their time making and finishing this game properly, seing as many big titles have been failing recently mostly due to being rushed. This is also finally a perfect reason for me to start upgrading my PC for this masterpiece :D
I loved most Harry Potter games as a kid, to this day I replay at least one of them every couple of years. This game looks like everything I've ever wanted in a HP game. So excited!
This game really went above and beyond anything I dared hope for. The showcase just kept going and going, showing such a wide variety of things. It's insane.
This looks fantastic !!! As you say this will be the ultimate RPG experience. Never was there a game not even Skyrim, in wich there was so much to do beyond just going around and fighting enemies. There's so much to do in this game it's almost overwhelming. I always loved magic, and though i was already anadult when harry Potter came out (i'm 43 now) the love for magic never left me. This is the kind of game i've been waiting for for a long time and i'm going to enjoy every minute of this. See you folks at school !

Also it’s single player, which I’m always down for. Can’t wait to play this game. I remember playing The Chamber of Secrets game on PS2 when I was younger. It was always a blast. Can’t wait to learn all the spells and meet so many interesting characters. Hufflepuff team all the way!

Let the beat drop AVADA KEDAVRA! It was a nice drop when he said it. Ok everytime i hear the theme i get shivers and cry eventually. I really hope this game is what it seems to be and promises and not be another title hitting on nostalgia to drain our pockets as most games lately disapoint hopefully this is a success im really looking forward to this but with a grain of salt.

Love it, just wish it was an MMO as id love to see how other characters look, different builds, good/bad wizards, play with friends, have houses compete for points for a reward every week, duels, etc.
It would be fun to play with friends, but at the same time, I'm glad it's single player. There's been a lot of MMOs lately and I don't enjoy them very much. I see the appeal in them, but I'm happy this game will be more focused on us playing through the story and not being distracted with other players.

I think that cat was wearing glasses 😅. I remember the books coming out when I was in my early teens and being *SO* excited for each one and then again when I was older for the movies coming out. I can't believe it was so long ago! I remember doing a book review in my English class, people hadn't heard of it before and people thought it was weird 😂. One thing I'm wondering about is how the selection of the houses will work. Many potter-heads already have a preferred house.. so if they give the selected house buffs towards a preferred play style that might piss some people off. For instance, let's just say as an example you want to be more of a potions player, and then you get to the sorting hat and it's like 'hey, if you want a significant buff with potions, pick slytherin", I can imagine some people wouldn't like that if they don't like Slytherin and now they feel they've been boxed in to pick a certain house. I haven't followed much of the news on this game asides from this state of play so if anyone knows if they've already answered that.. lemme know.
I've wanted a proper HP game in this era for ages, this showcase exceeded ALL my expectations! I can't believe how detailed this game looks, I never expected a game of this scope and magnitude, there's so much to do. I can't wait for this game and to explore and be part of this world again, and I can't wait to watch you play this as well!

I've been looking at a lot of people's reactions to this and so far yours was the closest to my own 🤗 This world was real to me as a kid. So embarrassing. All the adults were freaking out trying to keep kids from reading these books, and that naturally made me think this book was based on reality and our parents didn't want us to know. Combined with the fact that that's exactly how the world is laid out in the books, and my little 11-12 year old self started to believe there was this whole other world of magic and friends and adventure and purpose. I'm 31 now, still waiting on my letter and hoping to meet my Hermione but this is pretty good too 😎

Hogwarts legacy is the game iv dreamed of. Read all the books. Played all the games. Im gunna spend solong on this game. The dream has come true for all the 90s children.
I'm excited for this game/ I'm a massive HP fan and this looks fantastic. I definitely play through few times to go into different houses, meet different people and go down different paths. I'm heading straight for the Chamber of Secrets early on if I can and see what happens.

I've looked up my ancestors that would have been the right age when the game is set, the late 1800's and found one I am going to create in game as my first character. Just thought it was a neat idea, kinda retroactively making me part of a wizarding family hehe

Home schooled because his parents wanted him going to Hogwarts but as the lived in US it took awhile to be admitted as his name wouldn't be in the book. (of potential students, I think that's how pottermore says it works) or else because the US is more strict on statue of secrecy being muggle/no-mag born would be more difficult potentially to have magic
Unfortunately it was announced by some source that there will be no quidditch, which i kinda suspected because its such a big game anyways. But like it wouldve been cool if there was like quidditch online or whatever
I think the reason behind you starting as a year 5 is so the years can be long enough to leave time for immersion and side activities without forcing you to be stuck as a year 1-3 student who is unable to do much combat or exciting things for the first 50 or so hours (I don't exactly know how long the years are/ if you can even move up them).
It's a game we've been waiting for, for what seems like forever lol I was sold on this game as soon as it was announced. Best believe as soon as they put it up for pre-order I'll be paying for my copy.
Are you going to react to the 'The Quarry' trailer? Looks great and the cast is amazing!! It's the new game by Supermassive Games (developers of 'Until Dawn' and 'The Dark Pictures Anthology'). It's being described as a "spiritual succesor of Until Dawn", so it's most likely going to be like that game, in terms of lenght and polish (The Dark Pictures Anthology games are much sorter products and they have a more limited budget, specially compared to Until Dawn, which was a full on Triple A product, like this one seems to be).

This game, reminds me of the OG Harry Potter PC games. But leveled up. (Not PS1 Hagrid level though, unfortunately) playing the harry potter games on pc is a huge memory of mine (as is the whole franchise, I know the first movie word for word and by Mum was really concerned and took me to a specialist because i was fixated so much on it....turns out I have autism LOL) but the PC games, yeah. always loved them. When I heard of this game being developed, I wasnt sure what to think. Mainly because not much was said about it, and I thought it would be a huge flop. But holy crap. This hits HARD in the nostalgia. The second pre-order is available I'm placing that dang order. Its so much better than I expected, and I know the price will likely be around the $80AUD price tag, but look at the details i just...omg. im speechless. its worth the $80aud (not confirmed this is me guessing based on other games similar) for the detail, world and just....everything. The delays were worth it. I could continue raving about it but im gonna stop now before I get side tracked from life (lol who am i kidding i already am)
Ever since I found out this game is coming to the Switch, I have seen this trailer like 10 times in the past week! My boyfriend and I are so excited to get this game!
I've properly never been so hyped for a game in a long time, I just hope it's not riddled with bugs on release, literally had to watch all the Harry Potter after watching the trailer been waiting for a game like this since the 1st harry potter. so far the state of play looks incredible. I hope if you choose to become a darker wizard it affects the story with multiple endings etc for different playthroughs.
Online multiplayer, would be nice. Either way, I wouldn't care. All of the other games was single player, anyways. I just love the idea about the Online aspect, with a Harry Potter setting.

There is no UI since you only need to control the camera and movement. The spells are all voice input

Love it, just wish it was an MMO as id love to see how other characters look, different builds, good/bad wizards, play with friends, have houses compete for points for a reward every week, duels, etc.
Maybe they can make a multi-player game later, but I for one am very happy this will be a singeplayer experience.
It would be fun to play with friends, but at the same time, I'm glad it's single player. There's been a lot of MMOs lately and I don't enjoy them very much. I see the appeal in them, but I'm happy this game will be more focused on us playing through the story and not being distracted with other players.

I remember the books coming out when I was in my early teens and being *SO* excited for each one and then again when I was older for the movies coming out. I can't believe it was so long ago! One thing I'm wondering about is how the selection of the houses will work.
Many potter-heads already have a preferred house.. so if they give the selected house buffs towards a preferred play style that might piss some people off. For instance, let's just say as an example you want to be more of a potions player, and then you get to the sorting hat and it's like 'hey, if you want a significant buff with potions, pick slytherin", I can imagine some people wouldn't like that if they don't like Slytherin and now they feel they've been boxed in to pick a certain house.
I haven't followed much of the news on this game asides from this state of play so if anyone knows if they've already answered that.. lemme know.

I've wanted a proper HP game in this era for ages, this showcase exceeded ALL my expectations! I can't believe how detailed this game looks, I never expected a game of this scope and magnitude, there's so much to do.

I'm so excited for this and happy that a lot of other people are too even with all the j.k.rowling stuff going on, also it kind of feels like everyone forgot about all the other harry potter games, alot of people are talking about how they cant believe you can explore hogwarts and how cool it is that you can do all kinds of side stuff like making potions etc when most of the other harry potter games let you do all that stuff, I guess they did come out awhile ago but I still remember loving the half blood prince game, in between story stuff you could pretty much go anywhere around hogwarts and the grounds surrounding it, there was quidditch, duels, making potions and a ton more stuff, I guess all those games came out awhile ago so maybe i'm just old and obviously this game looks a lot better graphically than those and all the rpg stuff and making your own character and original story seems awesome just makes me a little sad that no one mentions the old harry potter games anymore cause they were such a big part of my childhood. sorry for the long message and I hope it didn't come across as negative I didn't mean it that way, I Really enjoyed your reaction, just wanted to put that out there, also here is a video of the half blood prince game, obviously looks a lot worse graphically but just kinda shows the exploration a little bit. ruclips.net/video/e_UyCBefV-s/видео.html

This world was real to me as a kid. So embarrassing. All the adults were freaking out trying to keep kids from reading these books,
and that naturally made me think this book was based on reality and our parents didn't want us to know.
Combined with the fact that that's exactly how the world is laid out in the books, and my little 11-12 year old self started to believe
there was this whole other world of magic and friends and adventure and purpose.
I'm 31 now, still waiting on my letter and hoping to meet my Hermione but this is pretty good too 😎

I've looked up my ancestors that would have been the right age when the game is set, the late 1800's and found one I am going to create in game as my first character. Just thought it was a neat idea, kinda retroactively making me part of a wizarding family hehe

Home schooled because his parents wanted him going to Hogwarts but as the lived in US it took awhile to be admitted as his name wouldn't be in the book. (of potential students, I think that's how pottermore says it works) or else because the US is more strict on statue of secrecy being muggle/no-mag born would be more difficult potentially to have magic
Unfortunately it was announced by some source that there will be no quidditch, which i kinda suspected because its such a big game anyways. But like it wouldve been cool if there was like quidditch online or whatever
I think the reason behind you starting as a year 5 is so the years can be long enough to leave time for immersion and side activities without forcing you to be stuck as a year 1-3 student who is unable to do much combat or exciting things for the first 50 or so hours (I don't exactly know how long the years are/ if you can even move up them).

It's the new game by Supermassive Games (developers of 'Until Dawn' and 'The Dark Pictures Anthology').
It's being described as a "spiritual succesor of Until Dawn", so it's most likely going to be like that game, in terms of lenght and polish (The Dark Pictures Anthology games are much sorter products and they have a more limited budget, specially compared to Until Dawn, which was a full on Triple A product, like this one seems to be).

Not sure if you've seen it but the behind the scenes video with the devs is awesome, you can really see how much passion they have for the world of harry potter.

This game, reminds me of the OG Harry Potter PC games. But leveled up. (Not PS1 Hagrid level though, unfortunately) playing the harry potter games on pc is a huge memory of mine (as is the whole franchise, I know the first movie word for word and by Mum was really concerned and took me to a specialist because i was fixated so much on it....turns out I have autism LOL) but the PC games, yeah. always loved them. When I heard of this game being developed, I wasnt sure what to think. Mainly because not much was said about it, and I thought it would be a huge flop. But holy crap. This hits HARD in the nostalgia. The second pre-order is available I'm placing that dang order. Its so much better than I expected, and I know the price will likely be around the $80AUD price tag, but look at the details i just...omg. im speechless. its worth the $80aud (not confirmed this is me guessing based on other games similar) for the detail, world and just....everything. The delays were worth it. I could continue raving about it but im gonna stop now before I get side tracked from life (lol who am i kidding i already am)

I've properly never been so hyped for a game in a long time, I just hope it's not riddled with bugs on release, literally had to watch all the Harry Potter after watching the trailer been waiting for a game like this since the 1st harry potter. so far the state of play looks incredible. I hope if you choose to become a darker wizard it affects the story with multiple endings etc for different playthroughs.
Online multiplayer, would be nice. Either way, I wouldn't care. All of the other games was single player, anyways. I just love the idea about the Online aspect, with a Harry Potter setting.
