What is your favourite Sebastien Chabal moment? Let us know in the comments 👇
my favourite moment is when SE COMIO EL TOPETE DE LEGUIZAMON :)
The monster tackle on that NZ player, its on youtube (not in this video) it was so perfectly timed and dazed the NZ player
When he grew his hair and beard....
My fav moment is when he got nailed by jerry colins 👍
Munster V Sale
My sister met him in his restaurant (she worked there), he is genuinely one of the nicest man she ever met. Very polite
@T.J. Ryan Don't know about OP's sister or why you'd assume it's a lie; but Chabal being a nice dude is pretty well documented.
@T.J. Ryan That's what John Wayne said in the pub to the irish man who wanted to fight him in the movie with the title : " The quiet man "
He is quiet, but you'd better not disturb him ;-)
@T.J. Ryan Tu es un conard.
@T.J. Ryan Et toi, qu'est-ce tu vas faire ?
@T.J. En anglais, "If you ain't got nothing good to say, you say nothing, and STFU ! I added that last part ! :)
Wearing long hair as a rugby union player is the ultimate badge of fearlessness.
Indeed! You'd have to be pretty stupid or suicidal to try pulling HIS hair! 😳😂
A long beard
It was a psychological move. He was daring you to grab hair. If the fans see you pulling hair on the pitch you're immediately classed a scumbag.
I once tried to keep long hair, but i couldnt see anything, as they were going in my eyes every time i played, mainly fot the sweat.
Mad respect for him.
Long hair and beard here, and I play 4. The comments from the spectators make it fun.
Chaba was a beast. As an England fan I loved watching him play. Quick, massively strong and aggressive. What a combination.
I'm French and I keep saying he's way overestimated in many ways
@@romariclambert3957 I suppose he has a good highlight reel. He was that kind of player but I know what you mean. Someone like Dusatoir was a far more valuable player to France. A bit like Richard Hill for England. Not flashy but good at doing the hard graft that often goes unrecognised. Ready for Saturday? It's a 50/50 game for me. England have been poor and France have been the best side in the competition so far but haven't played in a month so that may be a factor.
@@romariclambert3957 typically french to not support their own people
@@Ty94797 OK that's interesting.
I never said I dislike all French players I said Chabal is overestimated in my opinion.
There are many French players that deserve praises more than him.
I like the man behind the player but he was un able to play a full match as he had no endurance at all.
Pls states some facts instead of this stupid assertion
@@Ty94797 Nah, it’s typically French not to support their own people if they are black. They love Chabal.
Just imagine standing in front of Chabal, doing the Haka and he's like "I must break you "
Or, while you do the haka you understand you're going to be his lunch.
HULK SMASH!
@freeofbug I thought it's just snacks
Looks like the this channel removed my comment. Let me moderate it ..imagine sitting behind your keyboard and thinking you know how the greatest team of world, the All Blacks, feel . Just plain stupid. And don’t get me started on us pacific islanders(which are many in the All Blacks), we’re fearless and born to SMASH!! We don’t care who’s in front us, silly little kids. Ps and I like Sebastian, I think he’s incredible, I just don’t like silly kids behind their keyboard.
Just imagine standing in front of Gordon Ramsay , doing the Haka and he's like " I must bake you "
More than his athletic qualities, I love Chabal for his inner fire, his warrior spirit. He could win or lose, but you couldn’t say he lacked motivation and fighting spirit. Not a lazy guy.
Great player and great inspirational player for his French team.
Where does he rank in French rugby history?
@@antoine2941 you don't know Jean pierre Rives ? ????????

He went to sign autographs when I was a kid after a match in the Stade de France. I was frozen in my shoes but he was very nice and signed my autograph. What a great lad
Sebastian Chabal, that's a name I won't soon forget. He's the real juggernaut of rugby.
He definitely fell into the magic potion and keep in there until high school.
Love this 🤣👍👍👍🤣
But does he have a little dog?
He had one and fused with it, hence the hair.
Very good.

I live in France and for many years was lucky enough to train juniors at a local small club. Myself and another trainer were trying to motivate the under 11 guys and girls one season and teach them about the brotherhood/sisterhood of rugby, the values amd support that exists no matter what age, level or nationality. So we both contacted various pro players English and French.
We had two replies. Sabastian and Imanol Arenordiqey (sorry for the spelling). Both sent lovely personal messages to the team with signed photos etc. Imanol shares his birthday with my youngest son who was in the team. He sent fb msgs for my sons birthday for years afterwards when he was still playing.
I know its the little things but my god did that team perform that year. They won the region championship, played well above what was expected from a small town team in SW France. Id like to take the credit along with Jean Jacques my co-coach.....but those messages of support from Sebastien and Imanol made a huge difference. Real rugbymen.
Both were warriors on the pitch but perfect gentlemen. Thank you for sharing!
@Tumassot Tarugu merci
TY for sharing! And TY for the help you gave to some little French players in your club! Those days (and before the covid) the number of Rugby players in France is going down ... Hope some days this number will be back growing!
Des messages qui font plaisir à lire !
For the record, the correct spelling is HARINORDOQUY.Imanol is a proud Basque who spent most of his career with the Biarritz Olympique.
What a legend, tough as nails. From a Bok fan.

One of my favourite Players of all time coming from England Fan. He had so much presence on the pitch and had size, Speed power. Magnificent player.
As an Aussie same, he had such impact when he was on the pit.
English fan here, Sebastian Chabal what a bloke, and all that is great about French rugby.
One of the great characters of the game...and a phenomenal player. Loved the clashes between him and Jerry Collins. I think my favorite moment was the time an English journalist during the World Cup asked him if he would say a few words in English. "Non!" he replied, "We are in France, we speak French." And with that, he got up and left.
It was not an English journalist. It was a South African who asked him that.
@@ngc-fo5te I stand corrected.
@@ngc-fo5te same language at the end chabal is a genius
He did that because months earlier the same journalist asked him a question and Chabal asked if he could respond in French, his native tongue he felt more comfortable answering the question with, and the journalist said "no, we speak English here." So Chabal threw it right back in his face when they were on French soil and the journalist asked Chabal if he could ask a question in English. As an American, I appreciate this level of pettiness and sticking it back in that journalist's face for insulting him to begin with.
As a kiwi I absolutely love watching the cave man. What a beast
2:38 rare images of a jedi using force
😂😂😂😂😂
As an Englishman I loved watching this brilliant man play against us in the 6 Nations...one of the best players to put on that famous blue shirt.
Complete powerhouse of a player but came across as a genuinely pleasant fella when interviewed .
I'm not familiar with rugby and telling the truth this is the first time I see him, but I can tell that he is playing from his heart and the game is his life.

Having played amateur rugby for many years I agree 🤣🤣🤣 big people should just be big. Speed aswell is just not fair. 🤣🤣😁
Skill and technique with balls of steel.
That's Chabal
His battles with Tuilaggi were awesome to watch.
That’s what we are a missing in the actual squad, we need more of player like him he would literally not fear nobody and try to destroy the opponent every chance he could ! Very tough and strong player
In NFL, one tackle and the game stops for minutes, here they keep going and going.
That's the difference of Boy's game and Men's game
Knowing what we know now about CTE, watching all of them play a violent sport with no helmets explains a lot about Australians. 😉
It’s not that, NFL is much more dangerous because the amount of impact they have wearing all the equipment imagine getting hit by 6’6 400 lb defensive lineman
@@oasisuhamaka3669 they do that in Rugby but without all that equipment.
Those helmets don’t protect ur brain just ur skull and face
This is why we watch rugby 🏉😘
Chabal = A definição de espectacularidade; La définition de l’émerveillement; The definition of awesomeness.
I swear he was the one who painted the caves in Lascaux 17,000 years ago and he just got trapped in an iceberg until they thawed him out to play rugby.
Unforgettable player, my favourite❤️
Although I was a casual Rugby fan before, it was This Player, Mr. Chabal who really made me take a serious interest in the amazing sport of Rugby.
Growing up in Europe we play Footbal and yea Rugby is popular, butthansk to Chabal I got into it much more, as. a fan it was too late to be any kind of player.
This is as close as we get to seeing Jesus play rugby 🏉 💪

Maybe that statue of Korean Jesus (Google it)

Great comment bro hahaa
For me ( and I’m half Irish half English ) he is the greatest rugby player of all time
Total respect to him
What an awe inspiring player
Thing about chabel is that he is naturally massive. Great, exciting player.
1:02 Chabal looks like the most badass, badass to ever exist!
exacte
He just needs a two handed sword to complete the look.
Chabal was much loved here in NZ - just a legend
He was an absolute beast of a player
Saw him play few times. What a player.. Seen him live that is. He ran over people
That smart-looking bloke in the blue 6 shirt in the clips at the beginning of this video looks really good.
I don’t think there’s ever been such a frightening rugby player as Chabal. He was truly fearless and could take on anyone relentlessly. Every player who went up against him had worries about leaving the field in one piece… my all time favorite!
He nry Tuilaggi was scarier imo but Chabal took him head on
Lomu .
It doesn't make sense for any rugby fan not to apreciate how this player was . . Monster legend
This guy is the french Mountain. Ruthless.
He was a great player and, in my opinion, still underrated at the time. Also proof that Neanderthals live among us.
Could be a force of nature but also had a tendency to be lazy, he was on his day a big ball carrier but the hype created by the caveman image hid his lack of consistency.
I can't disagree more with that.
He's completely overestimated.
This guy could never play a complete game due to his total lack of endurance.
I'm French an I never understood why people treat him like he's a legend. That's not deserved, even if I like the guy sometimes ones has to be realistic.
You have no idea what a neanderthal is

What a great player. The hair and beard just made him look even tougher.
Just what I’ve seen of him, he was a stellar tackler and could’ve taught a lot of other rugby players to tackle properly
One of the greatest player ever... ❤️❤️❤️
I like how the crowd always go "OOOUUUUUHH" when Chabal has the ball or makes contact
the crowd say: huuuummmmmmmmm (its a medley with a pub for the meat charal: huuum charal). ^^
It’s an inside joke among French Rugby fans because of an ad.
He would have loved playing rugby league, good hands, pace, excellent tackler and tough as teak.
Now can Charles Ollivon grow more hair and beard? It's for an experiment
😂🧔🏻
Leguizamón lo hizo comer pasto
Chabal was a brilliant and reliable player without, and fearsome with. I'm trying to imagine Paul O'Connell or Alun Wyn Jones with more hair. Vikings.
This man is a absolute monster in the game. He is just a playing brick wall that nobody wants to hit. Because whe you hit a wall it hurts. World class player legend in the game.
Monster! Great Man!!!
I don't understand why rugby isn't more popular in the states. I love football all the big hits but it is a little slow sometime. Rugby fixes a lot of the problems American football has. Both are great and both can be love I hope rugby grow more in America
Sacré Chabal !! 💪💪
Saludos!

Chabal was indeed a Beast; strength and aggressiveness unmatched. Always did look forward to watching him play when I was a teenager.
Only time I did see him take a backstep though was when Henry Tuilagi tackled him. Can't hold it against Chabal though, Henry was more or less a freak of nature lol

When he played for Sale I took my 65 year old Dad to see him play against the Falcons at Kingston Park. After the match my Dad had a few pints while the players were getting changed..... as we were walking along the small walkway by the club house I saw Seabass come out of the door to our left but my half tipsy Dad somehow missed him????? Which in turn led my half pissed 65 year old Dad bumping into the man mountain. The look on both their faces I shall take to my grave. What an absolute gent he was....... my Dads response: “Sorry Pal”. 🤣

It was fun watching this guy go against Pacific Island teams - Real Rugby Days! 🤘🤘
Favourite Chabal moment is the night the Paul O Connell and the Munster pack drove him back deep into his own half at Thomond Park.....he looked like a guy who’d been hit by an articulated truck afterwards......there wasn’t a peep out of him for the rest of the game😀
another definition of unstoppable, badass, tank. he's going into the all greats team ^^:)
Try to look closer... Most of the time he loses more ground than he wins. Just a unbrained beast that hit hard in front of him like a blind buffalo.
