I used to play Control decks exclusively. Then I realized an OTK deck is just a Control deck that doesn't automatically lose half of its matchups
Or a Control deck that turns into Solitaire simulator along the way.
OTK loses in the the other half of the matchups

Cause they're a plague on socie...on RUclips and are, for whatever reason, being constantly encouranged by both Kripp and other commenters to keep doing what they're doing, i.e. copy paste the same or slightly altered comments that weren't funny in the first place. And yohoo, they get hundreds of thumbs up (like that has any value) to keep them going. At this point, it's like trying to complain about mindless meme spam on twitch. A futile battle with stupidity.

@@YouLoveDomo He played omega assembly at one mana. Control warrior should keep 8 cards and omega assembly to win against Hakkar, you're then assured 10 cards, milling corrupted blood.
@@CaronArnaud it doesn't matter. You still lose due to fatigue because you won't get the card to swap back deck from Togwaggle
@@CaronArnaud Yes you'd be able to mill all the corrupted bloods but good luck beating a Druid with a deck full of your control cards with nothing but three random mechs and 7 cards from your deck while already being at least 1 draw into fatigue.
If you have 9 cards he's just gonna nat first. The only hope is to play omega to 10, he swaps and you mill all the bloods, and then you play out the Mecha'thun that you got from omega, dump your hand and win Kappa
Cant wait for toast to go against another druid using the same combo, he gives a turn before he swaps deck but gets naturalized instead and dies to his own TwoTurnKill combo
That happens when you replicate the hakkar incident, its fuckin beautiful
What if the opponent from the first game kept 10 cards hand after the hakkar turn, so he would mill the corrupted blood eventually?
Then he wouldn't have received the King's Ransom to swap decks back and would simply lose in fatigue.

do a deck destroyer:
fill your deck with card draw, king togwaggle, myra's unstable element and 2x Academic Espionage
turn 8:
king togwaggle - prep prep - myra's unstable element.
turn 9:
next turn - 2x Academic Espionage
The preps dont work, thw first prep will count towards the second prep, so you just turn 10 prep once

I love this deck. Also, alot more skill involved than you would think. Very easy to make a mistake.

LOL Toast was really close with his arena tournament prediction, just missed the unfortunate part of food poisoning and it would've been spot on
The warrior is just making his hand empty so he cannot get double naturalise into toggwagle, he is keeping his hand at 5 cards. The strategy is ok-ish against azalina-togg but against togg-hakkar is really useless, since in that match-up you need to have 9 cards in hand so he cannot swap decks and damage you
Why the fuck the opponent keeps drawing the corrupted blood? Naturalize is just 2 cards, innit?

Someone's ever had that bug when you togwaggle, your opponent draws the corrupted blood but takes no damage and no corrupted blood shuffles in his deck ? Happened twice in the last 24h that's kinda shitty

i run exactly this card. have bugs twice. when the opponent card not shuffle hakkar card. just draw not shuffle in opponent deck
Hakkar decks are extremely tough to play but Toast makes it seem so easy.
You can counter that deck by simply remaining at 9cards . U get the swap and u burn the blood.
not really, the druid player can simply naturalize and then toggwaggle, so you won't get the king's ransom and just fatigue instead.

There are better was to counter it; Void Contract, Demonic Project, Dirty Rat, Deathlord, Ancestor's Call, and Zihi come to mind. Anything that prevents Togwaggle or Hakkar from being played or bloods being drawn would do it. You could even take Double Weasel Tunnler + Whirlwind (volcano, defile, dragonmaw scorcher, dreadscale, dragonfire potion, volcanic potion, etc.) following your opponent's hakkar turn and feeding them weasels to draw.

@Menno de Boer There’s a target most of the time, you opponent is looking to pressure you and end the game before your combo, so they would likely have a board at that point.
I’m confused as to the order of the hakars blood card effects. I thought that the combo would be 21 damage from the 2 blood cards togwaggle naturalize. And then 27 more on their next turn when they draw. Why are they dying on toasts turn
There are x cards in the deck when toast plays togwoggle+nat, dude takes 3x+1fatigue from the first draw from nat and shuffles 2x bloods into the deck (this order) then draws again, dealing 6x+2fatigue and shuffles 4x bloods into the deck and dies. If he'd had enough armor he'd draw one more time on his own turn for 12x+3fatigue damage
Jóhann Sigurðsson where is the third draw coming from? Because how I understand it the blood draw chain always ends in a fatigue tick and thus there should be 2 cycles of corrupted blood from naturalize.
I realize now the priest’s malygos had amped up the corrupted bloods damage

that warrior couldve survived the hakkar damage by just armoring up and then he wouldve won by just swapping the decks back after togwaggle

It'd be impossible for no hakkar, hakkar to be possible, however no toggwaggle hakkar might be. Without playing Hakkar you don't show any kill potential. That's like asking someone to force their opponent to concede to a defile otk deck without playing a Knife Juggler. Your opponent wouldn't understand the threat.
So the correct reference is they are cheese decks. Cheese decks refer to beating down your opponent in one turn without giving the opponent the opportunity to recover. It's cheesing your opponent. OTK is a newer more gentle reference to not hurt the feelings of people who like to use those kinds of decks

On the first game, the last turn: why his opponent didn't just keep his hand at 9 cards and chill? Toast can't kill him if he do that, and he already know Toast using hakkar.
(if toast insist do the combo, the blood will get milled because king ransom comes first. If toast wait and not do the combo, he will just blood himself to dead).
That's not an usual situation to have 9 cards and more against hakkar just right in time..

you can naturalize first then togwaggle to give enemy empty deck.
9 card in hand strategy only work when both player have the same amount of card.

Technically the priest could have lived by not playing anything and burning the blood, but then togwaggle would just fatigue him and he cant switch back... nasty

i mean, OTK combo decks are one thing, just be glad you don't have infinite turn combos that start on turn 4-5. looking at you, MTG:Arena with your Nexus of Fate + Wilderness Reclamation.

How does a draw 2 card effect make them draw the whole deck of corrupted blood?
Its drawing cards till it finds a normal card/fatique
Ex. You have 2 Bloods in your deck, that's all no more cards
Your turn starts
You draw a card
You draw a blood and a blood and a fatique, cause it cannot find any normal card
So you just draw until you hit fatique or normal card

They draw bc they have so many corrupted bloods in they're deck. Your draw ends when you take fatigue damage and toast continuously kept drawing until he has just enough to live THEN he switched decks. That way, the opponent has to draw toasts big corrupted blood deck while taking 3 damage with each draw

Tecnicaly mecatun is a multy turn kill , you need to play the 2 galvanaizer.
Then exodia mage is as well

Can't you theoratically beat hakkar by having a full hand and just let the enemy fatigue? Full hand means you'll burn the corrupted blood.

If you don't have Togwaggle, you need to mill your opponent to fatigue before playing Hakkar. That's a whole different deck compared to this

Well you need a card that shuffles your enemy's deck with your deck. I think there are alternatives, but Toggwaggle is cheap and reliable.

Yusukeseru but technically quest mage is two turn because time warp (whatever the quest reward is called) gives you another turn, so it’s not really one turn kill

The Gonk combo depends too much on the matchup. I personally play it as a second win condition in a token Druid

2. If you decide to go with the fatigue game plan (i.e. naturalize + togwaggle), you will die to your own hakkar bloods while opponent can keep hand size at 10.
Therefore, there are ways for control warrior to win.

why does it kill the opponent but not you
Because you're shuffling way more Corrupted Bloods into the opponent's deck than your own.
Thus having now deck, they are guaranteed to draw insane amounts of bloods at once, where instead your deck only has a few.

@@fejdid104 Hmm.. I havent tried this before, so no experience first hand, that naturalize forces the opponent to restart another Blood cycle, so having killed the Hakkar, naturalize will cause them to spread on the opponents side, and upon their turn they start a cycle again, each one bigger than the previous.
Every time you draw Corrupted Blood, it adds TWO copies, doubling on every cycle (meaning if theres only 4 Corrupted Blood in your deck, youll draw all 4 plus one fatigue, take 12 damage, and it will shuffle in 8 new copies). It doesnt start over, as the copies dont get shuffled in until after youve drawn to fatigue.
So, Toast makes sure theres only Corrupted Blood in his deck, and makes just enough extra copies so it doesnt kill him. Queue the Togwaggle, and now those new copies are in the opponents deck.
Darth Vader the opponent draws 2 cards, that’s why it starts again after the first fatigue card is drawn
Actually you can stop every otk deck with Zihi or Smorc :D
