My dad was always hard on me, pushing me to do good in school. A *stark* contrast to my mother, she would play this for me on piano. They both died December 16, 1991 in a "car accident". I hope they'd be proud of me and how I'm running the family business.
As one who knows reincarnation is a reality, I assure u that your folks watch over u and are alive & happy on the other side. Watch for them in Your dreams. You will all be together again. My son died in 2011, & I’ve met w/ him in the dream state ever since. I sing the sacred word for God, HU to help connect me w/ God. It’s on many YT channels.
let me guess, you then met your dad again at New Jersey in 1970 when you were looking for a blue cube with your friend
@@kelsleybing9122 how'd you know??
I'm so sorry for your tragic loss. They're proud of you.
Thanks for your sacrifice.
You save the universe
You don't wasted your live, you love and save your friends and partners.
And you give to your wife and daughter a universe where life.
Your parents must be so proud of you.
I am going to be 78 years old man soon ,from my teenage till now I love Brothers Four , their songs provide warm , peace and love feeling , such as this song show the warm and love to the world , away from wars .
I feel the same. I just turned 78 and my childhood was so different than today. Things were slower. People didn't have their face 12 inches from a phone day and night. I am so old that I am a Vietnam vet . This song really makes me regret how the world has changed so much.
Old songs are more relaxing, so soothing,
@@markmccammon266 I am 72 and remember this song so well. My first love died in the Vietnam war. But this song takes me back to a much simpler time. Thank you for your service.
@@user-sx9sc8gs9f I am so sorry for your loss so long ago. It was a terrible time for us veterans. The war was so unpopular that we were treated so badly for being in the military. I get choked up remembering how I felt. Nowadays military personnel are revered as heroes. We lost 58,000 people in that war. Bless all of them and all of us who survived.
@@markmccammon266 I hope that you have been able to process some of what you went through. It was such a difficult time for our country. I don't believe that we have ever recovered. I am listening to Traveling Through This Part of You by Nanci Griffith. It is so painful to think of our soldiers going to a faraway land to fight. My father who was a WWII Purple Heart Veteran used to always say, "The only soldier who has seen the end of war is a dead soldier". May God bless you on the rest of your journey and again thank you for your service.
I havent heard this song in many many years whenever I was a young boy growing up in the 60s I love you for sharing with the world 🌎🌍 your heart's joys in music 🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.
This song brings back memories for me as well. I sang it with my high school Glee Club in 1969. The 4-part harmony was sublimely beautiful. Listening to these mellow voices brought tears to my eyes.🥹 Yes, many thanks to “Reflections” for posting this video.🥰💖
Growing up this was one of my favorite songs. Life in America was beautiful, simple, and wholesome. Here on 9/2/24
This song brings back memories of the “good ole days”….when you could leave your doors unlocked; no fear, love was naive in youth! Hearing this song transport me to those memories. Thank you for sharing.
You remember them too huh?
Lovely to hear songs played on the radio of my 60' s Happy Childhood.
Nothing like this on the radio any more. Very sad.
RUclips commended me this. I remembered the good old days. Not only the good people are gone, but also the good places, all that remain was the pieces of memories in my heart...
I lost my son and mother last year, neither to covid, miss them both a lot.

Listening to this on the last day of September 2023. Not ready for September to end, such a beautiful month. ❤
This is my favorite song about autumn... It is impossible to listen without tears... Memories.. Memories....!!!!
Spend time with your loved ones and friends while you both can remember. When only one can then there will be tears.
@@dustintaylor1408 So true.
I always hear this song in the beginning of September every years.. 😊❤
One of the most expressive, poignant, and moving songs ever! The lyrics can take you to a time when amity rules politics and unity means doing things for one another in perfect love and trust. Those times may not be coming back, but deep inside each one of us, we can try to reclaim them, make them thrive and bear fruits, lots and lots of them, for every one to partake in perfect bliss. This song, even after repeated playing, will never grow old and stale.
This was my mother's favourite song. And she would love the scenery also. I miss her. Thank you for this .
September's glory.. lovely.. beautiful.. a time to fall madly in ❤️.....
At the age of 78 I remember the Halcyon Days of the fifties when I was a young man Life was far better then than the turbulent days we live in now I fear for the future of my grandchildren and great grandchild there will never experience my kind of childhood and adolescent I weep for them

Such a lovely song. Heartwarming, precious and priceless music. Born in September. 💓💖🍁🍂🌼
Our Lord Jesus comes back soon and will change the world, and set the Kingdom of God, with love, peace, and justice. No more sorrows, masks, injections, and He will resurrect all the dead...
Get real. I’ve been hearing that same story (backed up by various Bible verses) for nearly 80 years now. Set up his kingdom in your heart and you can never go wrong. The “Rapture” is total BS also- cobbled together from various verses of the New & Old testaments by an English gent named John Darby. There is not one mention of it in the Bible. Educate yourself and knowledge will “Follow” 🎃
Prayers to you.
Hello Elizabeth, how are you doing?
@@alexmorton4991 I'm fine, thanx !
How blessed are we who grew up in the time of The Brothers Four, Glen Campbell, Perry Como and so many others.
And oh the broadway music.
Those old songs and sentiments have stayed with me all my life.
Along with prayer and family they have provided respite from the storm.
Still a wonderful song, to just sit back and "remember" the good old days. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
Wow! Just beautiful pictures that match the lyrics
Hello Donna, how are you doing?
This song takes me back to when I was a little boy , my mother played this beautiful song and many others of that Era when she would be doing her work around the house .
This song has such beautiful lyics ahhh memories. Thank you for playing it
My mom was a housewife and would play music during the day. Never was the TV on during the day unless one of us kids was home sick. Even during summer, after Sesame Street and Mister Rogers, the TV would be turned off. She never watched soaps and neither have I...
As the month of September is approaching, this beautiful song brings back beautiful memories.
This was my favourite song when I was in college. We had this song on a cassette. I used to play it often. Now it brings back memories of that wonderful time . Ours had Harry Belefonte singing the song. Thank you for the song.
I lost my husband in September, one week after our wedding anniversary 😭😭
Oh my g*d, yes! Harry's version is sad and slow and haunting. It is absolutely my favorite. 💔
@@arinititahati2857 I am so sorry and sad to read this. My condolences on your heartache and loss. 💔

Just beautiful! It reaches my soul.
This song brings so many nostalgic memories of days so long ago. Beautiful lyrics, and moves my heart.
What we think of in December.? Will it be the prayers we said to our Lord asking Him to always remember the USA He created for us to enjoy and how some started to remove Him form any form of worshipping Him.
What's the title of this 1st song?
We all know that we will grow older, that we will gather more memories, more experiences,, but as we grow older we begin to lose the loved ones around us. Memories are nice, but with them comes so much sorrow.
rbjnla
This comment makes me tear up. I’m at that age now when memories from my younger days invite themselves into my life. Then, I remember that this day will be one of those memories. 😊
With sorrow comes love and they were the light of our lives.
@rbjnla Very faithfully said and from the heart .
Let's remember that " to everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under the heaven " .
Maybe this would make our lives more bearable and less sad when the time to lose would come into our lives.
"When we lose a loved one, their memory is a treasure." The blessing of old age is the people who entered our life and we think of them with delight.
Very true ! I lost my wife just a little over 3 years ago to brain cancer . The 29th of this last July we would have been married 25 years . Do I miss yes , but I have to remember that she is no longer in pain as she was those last 2 years . To reflect on past sometimes helps us to face the future ! As our passed loved ones would want us to continue on doing our best ! Until the day we are called home to rest with them once again !
it's a blessing to reach an age where you can look back and remember those good old days. it's nice to reminisce. beautiful lovely song :)
+rene austria Older people appreciate this song the most.

It feels to remember hearing that when things were simple and people were happier !!Thank you!😊🙏❤❤
Hello Joyce, how are you doing?
Absolutely beautiful melody and lyrics. I am afraid those days are sadly behind us.
Wonderful song from my youth thanks
I like this mellow song , the sentiment it contains and because it mentions my favorite month of September- I always feel excited when September comes around- it means another birthday given me by our Lord to be with my family and friends.
Hello Delia, how are you doing?
Good singers.I like the blending of their voices and and the way they sing.....soooo calm.
Dad.......I remember how you taught me to sing in chorus lines....and how wonderful we sang together in this song.
It's the most beautiful melody!!!!

THIS BEAUTIFUL SONG REMINDS US OF THE CHANGING OF OUR SEASONS SO LOVELY AND SUBLIME
I first heard the song as a back ground music of a melow drama on DVD, from then on I love it. Sept. the start of the fall season when are ready for the cool climate, and most of big Holidays are coming, what a wonderful song. Thanks !!

Hello Marieta, how are you doing?
I'm 67yrs old now,i've heard this music whe i was in grade3 way back in 1966,,,!from philippines,,,,,
music of yesteryears helps you relax unlike today's music adds stress to your stressful life.
Hehe. they are not music. they are noise. 😅
This song reminds me of Papa. He always play this. I really missed you papa. I used to love your kind of songs. I love you.
September now. Live it well so that in December it will indeed be happy memory. I first heard this one December day when rehearsing for a Christmas play at Pensacola Little Theater. I was about twelve years old. I thought it was the most beautiful song I had ever heard.
I love this song so much..... im 23 rn but i i heard this a few years back when i was 14 and fell in love, i sing it randomly when im sad so i can cheer up
This. Is. Life. Please, please -- love. Love is all that matters.
Hello Kirby, how are you doing?
My earliest memory of this poignant song is by Ed Ames from The Fantastiks the longest running show in American theatre....fond thoughts... .💕
OST of Taiwanese Drama "Silence" 2006. Great song, great drama.
that drama is so so sad...
life is too short
2006 and I still remember that drama.
Beautiful song. I see a lot of Maria Stark brought me here comments. I am so glad they used this song to introduce more people to it. I just watched that movie (4 years late). And came to look for these comments.
I am an 80s baby. My parents were just a smidge older than other parents of the time (about a decade), born in '47 and '51. I am blessed that they are both still here. They live far from me.
When we were driving across the country every summer on vacation in the 80s, 90s, and slightly beyond, they would play a cassette tape of music recorded from old records. This is one of those songs. I remember the sun on th desert and the mountains as my dad would sing the words. I am so grateful for the love of good music my father taught me.
Take a listen to Josh Grobans version from 5 yrs ago...its amazing!
brings back memories of old times.
being a teenager in the 60's back in the Philippines.
just wondering how my old friends are doing now?
hope they are still alive and kicking.
Wow...just wondering that life then was smooth and easy. I was a toddler then where the flag down rate of a taxi was 15 centavos.
Sigh... My mother is from the Philippines, and I've visited several times in the past. Something about that land leaves me feeling so tragically nostalgic, whenever I think about it no matter how many years that pass since I've visited it last...
All good ok not shering bad good what this some other gues wher go out go some Phil he
I remembered when life was so simple...
Hello Ronnie, how are you doing?
Thank you a wonderful song as it brought so many fond memories of times past !
I would love finding a radio station on Iheart Radio that plays this kind of music. There are stations that play instrumental, but they are not like instrumental stations we had in the 70's and 80's. I recall one station out of Knoxville that with the call letters WEZK and they played off those letters with their commercials. WVLK out of Lexington was another that played beautiful music. Both are gone.
Both are gone !
Both . . . 😌
Although we lost our deep relatives, yet we still follow. Time will tell us everything is going well.
Several artists did this song, but, I believe, this is The Brothers 4 rendition. Awesome!!
I wasn't born this song but now I've heard it,it feels like times flies so fast because I'm now a granny,my dad used to play this song it nice to hear when I was younger then now my dad passed away 6 years ago I still remember this sound the kind of music that's makes me feel sorrow ❤️
I sure do miss the 70s and 80s. The music today is not even the same. Sometimes I wish I could find a time machine and go back in time. Life was much easier and everyone enjoyed life! Is this your favorite song?
Hello Corazon, how are you doing?
@@derekkess5764 We all had so much more freedom in the 70's. The music was so diverse; so much talent. We lived in a neighborhood in the central US. No one _ever_ locked their doors during the day. All the wives were housewives. They'd chuckle and roll their eyes about women going to work. Why go to work when you can be at home, your house is immaculate, you have time to bake for holidays decorate, do crafts, cut coupons, socialize over coffee and run errands. All without feeling stressed. Most people were thin and got more vacation time at work. People could afford a house by the time they were in their 20's. My sister and brother-in-law built their first house when they were 23. A three bedroom, two bath with a skylight in the master bath.
I love this song and this version...so I read a few comments..apparently some of them were off the wall...that will teach me WOW
🇭🇲🦘 What a beautiful song. This was a dear friend of mine Mother's favourite song. Played at her funeral over 30 years ago. It was her mother's favourite song because her daughter (my friend) was born in September, her only child and much loved. It's a song of forever memories. My friend turns 63 this year, in September. I have no doubt she'll be playing this song on her birthday, in loving memory of her mother

When I watched the Hong Kong movie "City of Glass", this song was the theme song. I reminded me of my college days.
I am 65 and I remember when people didn't have to lock doors. Kids could walk to school, we played in the neighborhood with our friends after dark a little, it was a whole different world then. Today people can't disconnect, always on a device of some kind makes people get stressed out. I also fear for the generations to come...

So remember that September day when my husband.and I in a beautiful September day in the park decided to spend.the rest of our lives together it's been 54 years now winters here and we.do remember. And I'm sure we will follow !!.
it's good memory US had shared such a country songs like my young days
Thinking of you, Helen Orloff -- V.A. Hospital, Albany, NY -- mid 70s. I remember well how much you liked this song. R.I.P. Hope to see you again some sweet day. From the little dog that followed you home, and you couldn't get rid of him.
"the good 'ole days" = times are always getting worse without us realizing it. we lived in good times and consequently have good memories. I pity those who followed us in times of little hope and opportunity. our education disguised our whereabouts in a world being overtaken by the global minded elites. without hurt, the heart is hollow....but with too much, the heart is DEAD.
My Daddy recorded this!!
His was, and is, a Beautiful recording. As is this one. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽♥️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Listening ... scenes of yesteryears... times of innocent youth; pursuit of better tommorow; struggles; mistakes; falling... and rising up again and again. A beautiful song.. brings back nemories of simpler yet greater times. God bless today's times.
Nice song 👍
Love this song since I was still a juvenile even I live in tropical country
No films or anything but only the very nice beautiful words to this song is why I'm here.both my parents are gone in death to cancer many years now.and I know and understand there gone in life. They like me to remember all the good times and nothing of sad times.they don't want me crying all my days of my life because they both died. When people would just listen to the words. Try To Remember. Not everyone of us gives up and give in and only see lifes up and down doom and gloom.my parents are gone many years now and like to see me move on and smile.thats what I do.many of us do know and understand all the words to this beautiful song .others just hold onto there past and wont.
What a beautiful song and rendition. A memory of my childhood although I know it I think from Nana Maskouri.
