- I will be blunt and honest. This is the first RC product in almost 2 years that I have just charged up and driven, without a camera and just for my enjoyment. Twice I have driven it since making this video. Pushed it hard. Honestly hoping to damage it to include a photo in this video. We did not manage to damage it. It handles so well, enough power and is such good quality vs price. If you are only going to buy one RC car in 2024, make it this one. You will not be disappointed. I think because I received my car later than other RUclipsrs, they had fixed many of the problems. Well all the problems. Even after driving it through the water 20+ times it is still running without issues. Love this and its now currently my favourite go to RC!

the once crucial step missing after binding in gyro mode with desired setting is to HIT THE BOTTOM LEFT BUTTON until you see the transmitter icon pop up with the bars. The gryo settings will not be saved unless this happens. @scalebuildersguild left this out
The wheelbase and width is a good ratio on this truck, and you chose a good location for testing it. I also like the fact RLAARLO gave it a name instead of jumbliing up a few letters and numbers together. Hooray for creativity!
I know right. When I first heard about it I was so happy. I have mild dyslexia with numbers (muddle them all around) so all of the WLTOYS 124018 and Rlaarlo Ak-787 etc is a struggle for me. The Omni Terminator just runs off the tongue though. ;-) And yes I agree with the ratio of this one. They have done the research and landed on a great mix. Have an awesome day today.
People complain about the size. It’s actually what I love about it. A high quality RC and a smaller size. Perfect for backyard bashing
I agree. I don't mind it being smaller, especially as it's quite fast. If larger it would be heavier and then cause more damage to itself in a crash. The more I drive this car, the happier I am. 👌👌😉

Its amazing how much compłaining and crying people do if something isnt perfect. Someone please show me 1, just 1 perfect rc with no problems at all. Fyi, i wouldnt waste your time cause it dont exist. Nice little truck

Yeah I watched one of our first videos together and could not believe it. We all know how quickly they grow, but that much in only 3.5 years is bonkers. And yeah the truck. Rlaarlo did well on this one. Hope you and the family are doing well?

Not sure if you know my sister had cancer spread to the brain. Just recently had as much of it as possible removed and left her unable to speak and a few other issues. However once again she is fighting like a ********** and improving daily. Still a long road ahead but she won't give up bless her. Thanks for asking buddy. Stay safe.

But if they want to cover all vehicle types, def a SCT
I also hope they don't try and do too much. Seems like growing too quickly could hurt more than they gain. They also had the 1/7th speed run car that went quiet.

Heading to the skatepark soon so will test. Honestly I don't think I would choose the metal. Smaller motor and esc means less speed. This one is perfect the way it is. 👌😉

Nah I did say about the metal version having a different brushless motor. 😉😜
With the remote off press and hold SWA button and turn it on. Then you should be able to set the gyro up. (edit, meant swa not Chanel 3 lol)
Hello mate. Yes tried all of the variations. Transmitter turned on first. Car. Car plus bind button. And every combination in between. Nothing worked unfortunately. Spent 2 hours back and forth trying. 😂😂😂

Maybe it helps, so far they are the only ones I've seen to turn on the gyro 🤷♂️

Ive seen a few videos on this truck now, and I'd definitely spend my own money on this. It looks awesome, but the prices do seem to be creeping up a bit! Great car though. 👍🏻

@@JohnRobinsonRC after 10 minutes of motor run in ( know that is important on brushed ones) took it for a spin with 2 packs of 1600mah lipo in series. Honestly never imagined a brushed motor was that fast, i think its the same as my hbx 1/16 pro brushless. Batteries only went down to 8v after a few minites ( regret now have ordered a 5000mah zee 2s on ebay). Its shocking how this cars stick to the ground and tires are so grippy that its almost impossible to slide like i do on other rcs. The worst part is tire wear. Only 15minites not racing and there are already signs of wear mainly on rear ones! never saw that on any other rc!
Sounds like a great buy. The 5000 mAh could be a bad choice. Just because of the extra weight causing more stress on parts. Motors, esc, tires which you have already notice. However I will take a look and maybe pick one up myself. Thanks for the tip, info and update. Have an awesome day.
@@JohnRobinsonRC Yes but got it for an amazing 25eur from zeee on alliexpress so the loss is not that high. Probably i should have gone with a 3000mah. The car is very good and i believe the same as many hsp touring cars so parts available everywhere.

I have tried to talk to Rlaarlo and have not gotten through, Does this 6 channel radio have a Multiple model memory? I was thinking about getting the available separately 6 channel receiver to run on my Arrma Big Rock V3 3s, so i have both under one radio
Hiya. The controller that comes with the Omni terminator does not have model memory. Rlaarlo's stand alone controller does and I have actually used that one on the omni terminators receiver as it binds easily and gives better control for the gyro. 😉👍
@@JohnRobinsonRC, Ok so the 6 channel is a typical RTR with a single model memory. I saw the 8 channel has an 6 model memory, thank you. Looks like i may get the roller and the 8 channel model

60 amp esc I have is 51mm long. 38.4mm wide and 46mm tall.
All so I think the giro really doze help on smaller rc keeps them more stable only saying a bout it I tried my mjx hyper go with out it with the delay make it a bit unpredictable but put it on a bout 50% and it makes it better see I had an xmaxx and never youed the giro as I don't think it need it on bigger rc but it definitely helps the smaller scale ones and definitely rwd drifting but most rcs don't really need them I think
Yeah without doubt I agree. Rlaarlo still have not responded to me, so I will put in the Rlaarlo stand alone remote control with gyro and test it. I am sure it will help. All my friends are Traxxas fans, they'll be surprised by this guy's performance. The small size is extra fun for jumps imho. This car seems pretty stable in the air.

If its good enough for Kevin Talbot, then its good enough for me. :-) Hope you get a job soon. The Rc balance is always a struggle. I still struggle to buy parts sometimes. Oh and Traxxas fans. Would be nice to hear from @rlaarlo to help find the problem but from what I can see. It just isnt working. Plus lets be honest. What type of microphone are you using? And camera?
Good morning. My microphone is a DJI mic 1. Very capable and so very useful. The camera I have just swapped. I was using my Sony ZV-1 but wanted to streamline my process. So I saved up for months to buy an Oppo Find X7 Ultra and its producing good quality footage.

Yeah. Hard to tell. I watched one of our first videos together and could not beleive how quickly he has shot up in such a short time. 1 more month at school and he is off to college. When did that happen? :-)

Yeah I got that feeling as well. I really wish they would make a 1/8th as it would be so popular. Guess the issue is shipping costs for a larger and heavier product. They have done very well with this truck though. Love it. Thanks for watching and have an awesome day!

@@JohnRobinsonRC i feel like Rlaarlo really intended to have a bombproof basher for this car. I own one of their other cars (d12) and it's just a fragile platform. They beefed it up a lot on many aspects, but the wltoys platform just isn't for bashing. All their other cars are based on wltoys (except the speedrunners, right?) so i suspect they just want to have a well designed, durable basher. Maybe that's why it's smaller; thing is too small to really wreck it. And i like how it behaves like the bigger cars. Visually and also in terms of 'feel' or control, from what i've heard.
Yes you hit the nail on the head. They have noticed issues and fixed them. Realised mistakes and sorted it. Everything is at least leading in the right direction. Handling wise I love this one. Hence why I am recommending it so much. A lot of the other similiar sized truggies I own dont handle anywhere like as good as this one. And thats before speaking about the increased quality. I dont think I could recommend this car at say 350 usd full price. But at 250 usd presale its a steal.

The best RC car, if you only own one?
I the car, which is easy to get spare parts ans upgrades for.
If you drive an rc car, things will break and need repair or replacement.
Which this car has. Easy to get replacement parts. However I've driven it HARD 4 times and no breakages or damage. Says a lot about quality. But of course any rc product can break and all require maintenance. A fact a lot of people forget.

I live in Germany and have no shop who has Rlaaro Products in stock.
I have the same issue with my FMS FMt24, which is a awesome little truck, but I'm still waiting for over a month on my spare Diff and Lipo. 😕
The easiest to get parts for, is still Traxxas or Horizon Hoppy Products.
@@ronnyweinreich that I totally understand. But until Rlaarlo getting bigger as a company, we will have to order from China. There was a possibility of me holding stock in Europe for them but to organise it was too difficult for a single person. When traxxas, aarma and tamiya started, no local shop has all the stock. They grew into certain areas as they became popular. Average time from Rlaarlo is 3 weeks which isn't so bad. Maybe I'll buy a couple of cars and strip them for parts to sell within Europe. 🤔😁👌
We're many who have preordered them, but as you noticed, Rlaarlos customer service is flawed, to say the least.
Yes but what's strange is that it's so hit and miss. Some people have told me horrible stories and others have been so happy with the service. I think the biggest issue so far has been with the shipping times and shipper they choose. And as you know, shippers across the world offer vastly different service. I hope they continue to grow and produce great rc, but equally great customer service and they they aren't running with a few people on customer service. 😒🤔🙄
The car does look good but the company is just the worst.
Worst logistics and customer service/support practically doesn’t exist.
Ordered a month ago and nothing from them, no clue when or will it even arrive.
You just pay and hope for the best, what a shame.
Rlaarlo is a.great company since they actually listen to what people say about the cars and they go out of their way to fix it
Yes I agree with you. My biggest concern is that they grow too quickly trying to make too many at the same time and then the quality decreases and they stop listening. Hopefully that won't happen though. 😊👍
why does everyone make a deal about the gyro? This thing has such awesome steering why would you need it? I run 4s and 6s and unless im going to enter a competition and need to go in a direct straight line
Because if it has one it should at least work.
