I do love a good dreadnought overview, thanks mate ;) Couple of minor points on rules; the Heavy Conversion Beamer is a large blast (making it a bit less sucky if caught at shorter ranges) and the Leviathan gets chest mounted TL Volkite Calivers which are S6 Range 30”, hence are a worthy option. Grav Flux Bombard is absolutely boss vs. Terminators and anything on a -blade chassis. True facts. BUT the main reason I’m posting a comment is to wish you Happy Birthday 🎂 Didn’t know you were such a young pup 😉
Yes, another year older, I don't know if I'm any wiser or such however! Good points too, this is the problem from doing everything from memory, when you're right 95% of the time, you're wrong 5% of the time haha
just saying that the phosphex discharger absolutely shreds termies for 15 pts even with one use only and is great for softening up a unit before a charge. I personally think it would be too good if it was multi-use
Love these type of vids macca, the main reason I subbed because it helps me decide what my son of Dorn shall go to war with. Please do more of these type of vids more specifically transports as I'm deciding between a proteus or Spartan both for aesthetic and fluff reasons.
HellDoggyjr the Proteus is often difficult to justify because it’s not an assault vehicle. If your squad doesn’t fit in a Land Raider Phobos (such as the Mk IIb), then it’s either a Spartan or a Kharybdis. I like the latter more, ruleswise, but a Spartan is more likely to fit the story behind your army.
I have two box dreads for my RG. One chainfist and ccw with heavy flamers. One flame storm with chain fist and hf. The ability to now put the flame storm cannon in drop pod makes it really fun to play. Great way apply back field pressure to an opponent.
I could disagree against the storm cannons put the Leviathan in a drop pod and put that thing behind your enemy's tank or infantry. It will destroy lighter vehicles and possiblity one shot a sicaran tank from behind if your lucky enough. However it is pretty expensive and may not be worth it however it could be effective
Things are different in Australia; a combination of salt, raised prices and blood rushing to their heads (on account of them being upside-down) makes Macca say weird things sometimes, things that are best ignored. Like how dreadnoughts are more useful with dedicated arms! As if.
Turns out I also did another revolution around the sun today. So yeah, 30. That's a thing. ~Macca
Happy bday, dude!
Happy birthday, you old man!
Happy birthday...cobba
Happy Birthday Macca! Been loving those White Scars you had on Instagram!
Happy birthday man! Keep fighting the Good fight.

You should make a show called ''looking at resin with Macca''.
20 minutes of a muted screen staring at one resin miniatures.
I would love it!
Maybe it would something if it was GW resin....in the sunlight behind a window....
Staring at the space wolves sculpts with no commentary.
Box dreads all day long! Cool video!

Great vid! Thanks for a breakdown of the various 30k models and roles. These vids help so much!
Box dreads also have frag launchers
Great video, although I would have liked it if you had gone into more detail on what contemptor cortuses are capable of. Also, Happy Birthday!
I had no idea about the leviathan grenades. thank you.

The leviathan nipple volcites have str 6 and two shots twl each btw!
There you go, but short range bad AP.
+The Outer Circle well, all regular volkites have ap 5, and the caliver is the option with the longest range (30") for a leviathan.
Very nice video, nice look at the dregnoughts, have subscribed, all the best Garry
I think that the deredo dreadnought is comparable to the sicaran arcus strike tank.
It's nowhere near as good as that broken tank...
an old analogy that may apply to dreadnoughts with melee and range armament = jack of all trades master of none
I think the best load out is twin conversion Beamer, deployed in a dreadnought drop pod to get him within enemy line turn one.....
Would be great if it were an option. Twin heavy conversion bearers isn't legal.
200 IQ Plays right here
Twin assault cannons
Welp guess I have a problem then. Two of my dreadnoughts in my talon have one shooting arm and one CQC weapon.

It's not a problem, they just do neither job especially well.
I actually can't believe people pay so much money to get an army in aus
help its gotten so much worse
Soooooooo what's the best Dreadnought for a 40k Thousand Sons?
