Great video my friend! This helped me out big time as the new OBS update ha me wondering just what the heck was going on. Very helpful video explaining the fix as I saw OBS was mentioning on their Twitter account to just uncheck the rescale option but that was forcing my stream to only show in 720p and not 1080p. That wasn't truly fixing the problem. Your video did! :)

BUT it is not the way to solve the problem IF the problem is not that your driver is not updated.

@@TwistedBOLT btw i fixed it by changing the output encoder to x264 (pretty much anything other than nvidia but i reccomend x264... nvidia just suddenly broke for me for some reason even though i have it)

So funny thing, I have two laptops; a school one and a gaming one. The gaming one doesn't have access to the internet (a deliberate choice by me), and the school laptop is low on battery
I ran into this issue on my gaming laptop and searched a result on my school one. Sure enough it powers off before this video could become of use. I was able to get to the point where you said to right-click and go to GeForce experience, but it wasn't there on my laptop. So I decided to restart the gaming laptop, and that worked for me. For a second I thought my graphics card had an outdated encoder or something, but nah it just needed to reinitialize
My question here is why is GeForce experience not there? It only has the NVIDIA control panel
