It's a clear message and I wear gear ALWAYS but you gotta laugh with a guy on the side of the road dragging a Pork Shoulder along the gravel ;-) Great vid mate and hopefully it sways folks towards wearing the stuff!! No Sunday roast the weekend though eh ;-)
That's true to a certain extent. However the face and jaw are more fragile and most head injuries occur on the inside rather than due to the skull caving in, so I think the analogy is valid. Also, the speed the melon hit the road was relatively slow (more like tripping over) compared to the speed a rider could be going at...
Very sorry to hear about your grandson. While there will certainly be situations where protective gear and defensive riding won't help you, they are so often the difference between life and death. If this video makes just one person think differently, then it's worth it.
I just tell someone without gear to run past me as fast as I can. Then I trip them over, and as they lay writhing in pain explain to them that they were doing about 7mph, and they should imagine what damage that would do at 30mph... or 60mph...
Absoluty love the presentations to back up your ideas really helps to get the point across and drive it home great vid!
Thanks! I really wanted to leave an impression over this stuff, so the effort setting it up was worth it. The deer was a bonus. :-)
Great video biker speed triple, it looks like a lot of effort has gone in to making it! :)

Thanks for the sub! I guess we learn from our mistakes. Hopefully, we can help others learn without having to make so many!

Thanks! If it saves 1 person's skin, then it did it's job!
Yeah, I tried to find somewhere out of the way as it felt a bit embarrassing.
I decided the 3 second rule didn't apply in this case. ;-)
Idea for another video, perhaps? :-)
Shame you've missed the olympics - there'd have been loads of potential assitants!

I think the skull is a lot harder than a melon skin.
