Don't worry about your embroidery pattern not selling yet! Something like Rose's Coat is a very intense and time consuming project for sewists/cosplayers to put themselves through. I'm sure someone will buy it and will be very grateful with the amount of work you put in it!
Thanks for sharing. Don't get discouraged about your digitized pattern sales. Rose cosplayers will find it when then need it. Congratulations on your medal.
The Rose costume just isn't flashy enough for this type of event. People know there is a lot of work involved in it but in the end the visual effect of a massive, colourful costume with a big wig is more impressive to them. I think historical costumes should be a category of their own but that may be too much for the organizers. I liked the Titanic outfit far more than most of the other ones for its simple elegance. A good deal of the outfits - coming from manga and games - are so overpacked that the deco elements overwrite each other and you can't see anything at all but sheer chaos from top to toe. But that's just me. The bird costume and the Amidala are something different all together, though. Anyway, I admire the passion and hard work that has been invested in each and every one of the costumes we've seen on and off stage. These guys are amazing!
You worked REALLY hard on that coat, and you should be proud of it. I felt bad because even though your coat was amazing and we know how much effort that took, the other costumes were just more obviously extreme - I think you should keep the coat in mind for another competition. You did a great job
You got a good round of applause both times for your dresses! 💖 Your coat looked amazing. Ty Stephanie for good footage. 👍 Judges award very special. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.🩷
Congratulations on your award! That is definitely an iconic dress, and you did a superb job on it! Thank you so much for taking us along. I don’t even know where to begin, you showed us so many awesome things. That LOTR panel was AMAZING! It warms my heart to think that Frodo and Sam are BFFs in real life ❤. So many awesome costumes too. Your Rose cosplay was absolutely lovely and you look so elegant in it. Thanks again, and take care.
I LOVED seeing all the costumes! What fun. Let us get closer to winter, and I'm sure your digitized pattern sales will pick up. Personally, I think it would be fabulous in white or black on a blue coat. Or a purple and teal combination.
Artist Alley reminds me so much of the Exhibit Hall (which included an Artist's Alley) at GenCon Indy! And the food truck offerings outside were usually a lot more varied than the "official" con food inside. (Although our family usually walked to the adjacent mall food court via skywalks -- except for a bottle of juice or cup of hot cocoa before the auction room and Exhibit Hall opened.) It was great fun to watch the cosplayers walking around, and occasionally some of them would agree to have their pictures taken. My favorite part of GenCon Indy, though, was the crafts area. I'd usually sign up for a crochet tutorial (things like a gnome, or a "dragon egg", or a Doctor Who skinny scarf), and hang out for at least part of each day in the Open Crafting room. (I could also destash a bit by bringing a tote bag full of yarn, crochet hooks and pattern books to donate to the Open Crafting room -- and pick up a skein or two of new-to-me yarn from what others had donated.)
When I saw that this video was an hour long I thought it'd be the video version of TLDR. I'm pleasantly surprised. Great job editing! I loved watching the LOTR panel. Thank you!! And I think you're right, ECCC might not be the perfect venue.
I probably won't ever cosplay anyone, let alone rose, but you did make me want to get an embroidery machine and learn to digitize patterns. That you were able to create that from a photo and some hard work is amazing.
Great video. Congratulations on receiving the Judges Choice Award!! Noticed when they announced you wearing the Rose costume people did recognize who you were. All your costume were fabulous Beautiful work!!😊
This was such a great and informative video. I came for the American girl doll Kirstin outfit but I loved seeing all of the other costumes, cosplay and experiencing a Comic-Con. I have heard my son and his friends talk about them. I felt like I was there. Thank you!🙏😃 Also your costumes and embroidery work is stunning and beautiful. You look amazing on stage!❤
Those cosplayers were all amazing! But im still annoyed for you that rose didn't win, booo! I LOVE your swim dress and coat they're so beautiful 😍 all of your cosplay outfits were so so good! Im glad that you had fun 😄 your AG group were great!
I thought you looked fantastic in all of your outfits. I enjoyed the Con, seeing the panel from LOTR was great fun, I thought Christopher Lloyd seemed lost. I wasn't bummed that panel was cut short. Some of the costumes were remarkable in detail! I'd have had a hard time on the judging panel for sure. Of course I'd vote for you every time!
12:00 this kind of makes me giggle because I'm 5 foot one and my shoe sizes a US women's 12. They could definitely have hired me to be one of the hobbits and they wouldn't of even had to do much prosthetics. Lol Actually… That gives me some great inspiration for my own costuming! 😂😂😂❤
Had to stop watching at 6:11 because I got jumpscared by my emotionally manipulative ex’s voice on the panel he was apparently hosting! One day I’ll be able to watch something ECCC without seeing the Prince of Snark or hearing Chris’s voice and that triggering anxiety… one day… 🫠😔

That Lord of the Rings panel was so good. Thank you for sharing, it looked an amazing event even with it's problems.
It really was great! If you want to watch more of the panel, I think @thesuckyseamstress has the whole thing on her channel.
