- My old roommate and I enjoyed this bottle back in 2014. We were exploring different Johnnie Walkers at the time. I’d never had Blue Label and he surprised me one afternoon by bringing home a bottle. We’d take turns cooking dinner on Wednesday nights. A dram of JW Blue would always be served after dessert. My roommate, however, insisted that the JW Blue was really the dessert. We sampled other Johnnie Walkers at the time, including Green, Gold, and the very bottle you see in this video, Johnnie Walker Platinum. We were surprised by how much Platinum tasted like Blue. My roommate always commented that the bottles were too beautiful to throw away. Thus, I’ve kept them all these years, tucked away in a drawer. I’m happy to see this wonderful old bottle get a second life. Biggest tip ever for that bartender. Who is that guy? And where does he tend bar?
Casa de Hopevale. Stop by and I'll make you one.
can it be done with basic method like glass cutter and fire?
Yes. Definitely. Just be prepared for some of the bottles to break in the wrong place. If you're cutting beer or wine bottles, I'd say go for it. Cheers.
@@cuttingcocktails is it ok to use that method for thick bottles?
@@tuyenmarine Yes, might take a little practice, but it should work. Best of luck.
