Had a roommate in college that came from a wealthy family; had a live-in housekeeper back home. So, he didn't do laundry. End of semester, he'd take everything home for the housekeeper to wash. Meanwhile, when his stuff got too stinky to wear he'd just take some of my clothes, which then got tossed onto the floor with all of his other filth. I started locking my clothes in my steamer trunk and then he's like "hey bro, WTF? Not cool."

That shooting in Colorado, so they say was over a
bag of trash. I don't buy that, because it seems to
be a more personal matter. I think the girl who was
also shot was the reason, simply because why would
anyone shoot another person over a bag of trash?
Why, oh why would any normal person throw their life
away over a simple bag of trash? The motive will be
revealed during the trial of the accused. So far, nothing
but theories on why. I lived with my girlfriend who did
that, wear my shirt if she had nothing clean, but she could
not wear my pants since I was a lot taller than she.

Why do americans call housemates room mates? You dont share a room, you share the house/flat

In boarding school and college, you usually end up sharing a single room. A set of rooms with some communal space if you’re lucky. Roommate is generally just the term you’re used to by the time you leave the dorms and get an apartment.
