All these years... and I never noticed that the glowing dots in the radar are actually the location of the ballons... good video man, keep the good work
I personally thought that squadron you fight at the end was some sort of minor Erusean ace team(s) that had been dispatched to hunt down the wounded U2, probably because there were two F-15Es then the F-15E Ace “Gunn”
Even tho we here for the Chinese balloon meme this brings me great nostalgia of when my brother would be playing this and watching him play n flying around with the iconic music
this and the breaking arrows missions felt like fillers. sure they had a meaning in the storyline but why waste development instead of putting a combat airspace filled with various types of aircraft and artillery as in emmancipation or hostile fleet.
To give player some relief after intense missions and also to make game more variable with it's objectives. If there were only intense missions rich with events, the game probably would became way too short and lost most of it's cohesion.
Mate, you just destroyed Stonehenge, the flagship superweapon of AC04. I think having two relatively relaxing and chill missions right after that was a great choice, specially since it provides a hard split between the first half of the game, which is everything up to Stonehenge, then the late stages and conclusion of the war, which is everything after that. I mean, yes that "second half" is but 4 missions out of 18, but a good chunk of the "first half" is just ISAF trying to get back on its feet, which I'd say happens after Invincible Fleet or Comona.
I am with you. It was a bad time for such long breather missions. Stonehenge was a big moment in the campaign and the energy of the victory should have carried over into a mission that was a big push for the ISAF, not helping a recon plane find its way home.
Wow this mission is so uninteresting. Search for blimps in an ugly and foggy map. No dogfighting for the majority, just a long timer. Not even much sense in the mission. If Mobius and Sky Eye can navigate well enough the recon plane should be fine, and if it really cannot it should be able to be escorted by Mobius without radar. Just flying by eye. Music is kind of boring too.
This aged wonderfully
Coming here after seen the F22 shot down chinese balloon IN REAL LIFE
Anyone here for the F-22 that have shooted down a Chinese balloon? It reminded me this mission lol.
We were downing balloons before a Raptor pilot did a few days ago. Only we used guns!
All these years... and I never noticed that the glowing dots in the radar are actually the location of the ballons... good video man, keep the good work
Right! I'm just realizing that now myself. I just thought they were randomly placed to indicate that you didn't have radar.
How and when the HELL did Erusia have time, energy & materials to build so freaking many Radar-Jamming blimps!?!?!
Makes sense and who needs air or ground we just want blimps
Time was during their blitz, materials from the entire continent they hold, energy they had large ammounts of occupied manpower.
And why put every one in this one valley
Ahhh Balloons, a scary sight in 2023
0:18 you can see how much land was retaken by your forces.
And in 2023, it actually happened over the coast of SC. Fitting it was a Raptor that shot it down.
22 years later and quite relevant.
22 for F-22
Life imitates art.
Current USAF F-22 pilots are taking notes
This aged like fine wine.

I played AC04 so much when I was a kid. My 8 year old self would be loving the shit that's happening right now.
what do u use ro record these
The Elgato Game Capture HD
There's a hidding Erussian destroyer on the river, I don't remember where is exactly but there is a enemy ship in this mission, to get some points
Tf is that destroyer doing there
Project aces predicted the future

this mission is the most pring to watch by far
probably the same with playing it

Especially since a U2 flies a lot higher than an E-767
Should have made a mission to retake St ark instead.
Jump to present day, the F-22 earns its first air to air kill by shooting down a chinese spy, weather balloon.
