Zigzag's Guard: "I'm sorry but you threw off the Grand Vizier's Groove."
"Sorrrrry"!
Thanks, I was trying to figure out that last part they were singing
Kuzco: The high and mighty curly toed rip off of Jafar is ZigZag the Grand Vizier. It's said that he's a powerful sorcerer, and one at point he fixed a collapsed minaret with just a snap of his finger, do I believe it NO I don't.
SOOOOOORRY!
I remember watching “Emperor’s New Groove” on VHS?
“Have no fear” while having a black cloaked group of guys whip everyone out of the way
IF that's not Middle East politics, Then I don't what is?
That's the absurdity of authority
It's the beat man, it's the beat lol
Well at least Tack got what Zig Zag desired. Either way lol. Also one of my favorite walk cycle's ever.
they'll whip the fear outta ya
I like how the animators went the extra mile and made Zigzag's shoes uncurl, then curl back up with each step he takes. Not just in this scene either, it happens throughout the entire movie (:
Hahaha more like animator since Richard animated basically the whole movie himself lmao
@@theretep6494 Actually, he had a team of animators, but William was the lead animator
And if you look closely, he’s flicking his ankles before each step.
@@mimovres9300 Well it did took 20+ years and is yet still unfinished :(
@@mondoperr If there are skillful animators to finish it, will it be ok?
If the people rolling out the carpets in front of ZigZag had been doing their jobs he never would have stepped on that nail.
To be fair, there were multiple tacks in the way.
@@Ctrooper2011 To be fairrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I think those tacks would be felt through the carpet. Perhaps it would be less painful, but still.
The tacks rolled out on top of the carpet. It wasn't their fault.
Tack*
The virgin Jafar slink vs the chad Zigzag stride
0:45 Me walking into school on 3 minutes of sleep and a cereal bar:
Lmao
Literally me
So much swagger in that walk for a sleep-starved, starving student
0:45 me when walking into Wal-Mart while high
😂 oh that's gold
That is just me walking anywhere
Do your shoes fuckin unroll tho????
@@nateconrad5403 I think they do.
Lmao
"Have no fear" *continues to whip everyone out of the way*
typical muslims
This movie deserved so much more respect than what it got.
If it wasn't for Williams losing half of the reel of the film during production and Terry Gilliam and Creative Capers Entertainment did agree to finish the film without getting rejected by The Completion Bond Company,It would've turned out a lot better and would keep Williams career alive and he would make more animated films until his death in 2019. I agree, the movie deserved so much better than being ruined by Miramax and Calvert.
Heck yes!
And more time

There’s something so surreal and hypnotic about the music paired up with the animation of Zig Zag as he walks down that carpet
And I love it
The absolute pimpest of pimp walks.
Watching it while high on edibles makes me feel like I'm gazing at a 2 Dimensional plain of existence and thee 2D life forms that inhabit it. they cant see us watching them because we are higher dimensional 3D beings.
The remastered version didn't quite do the same.
Zigzag is so full of himself, he can't go anywhere without having a parade to announce his arrival.
Matthew Gross Who wouldn't be with shoes like that!
The level of extra I aspire to achieve.
Except, when he had to sneak into the One-Eyes camp.
@@xXLunatikxXlul I’m his defense, he had lost his position.
@@xXLunatikxXlul No, he put on a good show for Chief One Eye.
~Have no fear! Have no fear! Zigzag the grand vizier is heeere!~
Tia Blue I thought it was “is here is here”
@@Brodysseus113 Lol me too=^=
This little tune will now replay in my head for a week straight
is there a 10 hour version of this song?
I thought it was dilly dill
I can't stop watching his shoes it's so hypnotic
It does it the whole movie too!
The ultimate extra mile: The one guy at 0:57 slipping a bit more than everyone else, while they're already rolling up the carpet.
Poor Tack. He didn't have the time to get whats happening. One moment he was sleeping with all the peace of his senses, and the minute next he woke up with a thief stitched in his leg, and the second later he's arrested for trivial reasons. Wow, what a day😂
Love how his feet literally zigzag
0:43 me entering the house while being drunk
yes 😂
My goal in life is to also be powerful enough that I, too, can have two teams of mean whose sole purpose is forever provide a red carpet to walk on by dint of rolling and unrolling the carpets in my path with extreme efficiency and precision.
It's so no one else than he can walk the red carpet
People keep jokingly calling him a big pimp but the dude literally just brought women to the king.
1:19-1:24
TFW you step on a LEGO brick.
Do you know how much it hurts to step on a tack
Lego bricks are just the rogue tacks of a safe home, vice versa.
Agony of the feet.
Ouch my ears
Have no fear
Have no fear
ZigZag the grand vizier is here
Man! He's so "grand" that he has his own red carpet. Take that celebrities
I love how, just from this scene, without being told a single word, we see ZigZag's power, harshness, and narcissism. The story is average but this is a fantastic way to introduce the villain
haha, dont we love those characters with really weird body language and animation tricks, I mean...look his fucking SHOES, they are like those paper whistles we see in kid's parties, and i wont mention those shoulders xD
Ergotth but you did mention the shoulders....
Yes I know I'm not funny thank you for noticing
He has shoulders like a vultures wings
I highly suspect that ZigZag isn’t human. I mean, the guy has 6 fingers and 3 knuckles on each hand and extends his foot out like a snake, not to mention is weirdly blue skin. I think he’s most likely a Djinn, what else would he be?
Thank you, Richard Williams!
Legendary
R.I.P
Indeed
Does anyone else agree that this is one of the best movies ever made as well the artistic creations and illusions that went into it!
As far as plots go, it's rather generic...but the animation goes beyond anything released today and Vincent Price was outstanding as the voice of Zigzag.
@@Bluesit32 agreed
Ahhhhhh, old 70s synth work.
i hear an 80s yamaha synth doing the bassline
@@yumishindou5705 If this is the original (or as close as it gets), that would be azimg since it was made in the 60s. ...well, that's when they started on it anyway.
Zigzag's walk as he enters the city is awesome and tells you everything you need to know about him.
I never noticed until now, but there are "Z"'s in the carpet's design! Z for Zigzag!
When zig zag did that
*HEE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO*
That got my heart strings, so inspiring.
0:45 Me walking into school on 2 hours of sleep and coffee
It's two days that this comment has me laughing to myself like an idiot
Zigzag even walks in well, a zigzag.
And he has jeweled octopus tentacles for feet?😖
Those are traditional Arabian shoes, they’re always long and narrow and curl up in a strange way
I have a feeling that in a timeline where this movie was finished, a lot of people would be thirsting for One Eye today
The carpet rollers just adds to the extravagance and gets me laughing every time
From the Recobbled version of the movie, indefinitely superior to the theatrical release.
By far. I'm not biased, either. I only discovered the movie a few weeks ago, no nostalgia goggles for me.
@@mooseolini1447 it is awesome
This was just a bizarre fever dream of a movie. I remember watching it a few times as a kid and the animation mesmerized me so much that I didn't really pay attention to the plot. I wasn't even aware that Vincent Price was in it until I looked it up.
I miss the animated films from the 90's and beforehand.😞
The guys whipping the audience are my favorite part of this procession
"Everyone knew the sorcerer: Zigzag was extremely powerful. He had gained everyone's trust, even the king's"
I love ZigZag, he's easily the best character.
I prefiere tack
Damn it, thanks to my friend Zak, every time I watch this scene I can't help but picture "Stayin' Alive" playing in the background as Zig Zag's walking down the street. XD
+ilikethecokev2 I saw your comment, and compared the music with this scene.
Tell Zak it's his fault that I can't picture the scene as being played any other way anymore either.
+ilikethecokev2 I did it too. Thank you Zak ...
Omg I just pictured that too 🤣
!SPOILERS! DON'T CLICK WHATEVER BUTTON DISPLAYS THE REST OF THE COMMENT IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE FILM BEFOREHAND!
i like how he keeps his cool somewhat when being eaten alive by gators, AND his pet phido, yet stepping on a tack is enough to make him scream in agony.
The emperor of blue meanies
Zig Zag and Thief are best characters in both versions
Funny, I used to think Zig Zag was the thief before actually seeing the movie
@@tesscarvelli4690 Understandable.. considering he is the most recurring speaking character of the movie, maybe even more than the princess
@@tesscarvelli4690 tbh i thought the thief worked for zigzag
Zigzag should be an internet meme
"have no fear"
sir this is quite literally the scariest moment of my life
Jesus this is a earworm it's been showing up in my head for like two weeks after watching the film for the first time
He was bound to freak out anyway, his carpet people fucked up and he was about to walk on actual ground.
Me when someone asks me who the hell I think I am
Mind blowing animation too.. with this smooth motion and that Too in the whole movie, Marvelously awesome
мама: почему у тебя уже час играет эта музыка?
я: have no fer have no fear, zigzag the grand is here!
Whenever you hear the name "Grand Visier" you know who the villain is going to be.
Helps that Aladdin (which pretty much set in stone great viziers being bad guys) may have been inspired by the Cobbler and the Thief :p
@@thorveim1174 Grand Visiers as villains go back farther than either movie.
@@KenoshiAkai Bet it is.. but I think it's what made it really popular worldwide (not too versed into that to be honest... I just spent too much time reading Iznogoud as a kid).
@@thorveim1174 What is a Vizier, anyway?
@@kylestubbs8867 Basically an equivalent of a minister, with the Grand Vizier being a prime minister equivalent: really powerful and often the actual head of state, but still has to defer to the sultan (on paper at least, many conspired to indeed bring down sultans that tried to reign them in). Note that in theory the sultan HAD to make affairs of state pass through the grand vizier, but that step was often circumvented
I cant get over how clean the animation is
There is just something enchanting in that song!
...... seems a bit full of himself doesn't he :)
the carpet has little interlocking zs, and throughout the movie zigzag's background is full of zs
I cant stop watching this
You know what his walking animation reminds me of? The big blue guy in the Rock the House Gorillaz video.
"And when the MC rhyme and the DJ spin, I want y'all to just get down!"
0:35- 0:42"He's stitching me up like a boot" "Sorry kid this book is made from Wonka"Putting the thief's lines in this versionThe thief is my favorite character in this movie and always will be
What the actual fuck? It's "this boot is made for walking", a shitty pop-culture reference.
the unique, intricate, and accurate animations for the pedestrians.. bro how much effort do you want to put in this? YES!
if cd-i link was animated this week it wouldn’t have half the hate
Looks like Dr. Seuss if he was from India.
this song is more memorable and awesome than all of the crappy miramax-cut songs combined :D
Or Calvert
where's the 10-hour version? :-(
Hands on the pier! Hands on the pier! Zigzag the Grand Vizier is here!
kashey2000 It’s Have No Fear
Zigzag the Grand Vizier is Here
The scene is sickeningly psychedelic and masterfully executed. It just evokes that lil something that gets burnt into your head.
Anyone who ever stepped on a lego knows that death was too light of a sentence for the cobbler.
i thought it was have no fear! have no fear! Zigzag the Grand Vizier is here! isn't it?
It is
This actually sounds something from prog-rock outfit Yes. I can imagine Rick Wakeman at the keyboards and Jon Anderson on vocals.
0:47 me trying to cosplay as the Globglogabgalab while sleepwalking.
that walk cycle reminds me of that pimpwalking plague doctor meme
0:48 Me on the way to your girl's house
That Chad Walk though.
The Yellow Submarine Pride Parade
I love how the workprint's music was all this lush orchestral score...and then this blatant 80s synthfest 😂
Probably a contrast between Zigzag and everyone else.
just look at this damn animation what a trip...
I know. Its so amazing seeing him all cool and composed there and by the end he's gone completely mad, hahaha
Zigzag the Chad
When he said “WOAHHHHHHHH” I felt that
Excellent animation!
The sheer SWAG
Just realized that even his feet walk in a zig zag pattern
I wanted to enter a room as zigzag
SEEEAAAAS HIMMMM!!!
@PopulationTire724 The animation is from the same time as Yellow Submarine. Aladdin actually owes a lot to this movie.
Gorgeous
I think what is so fascinating about this film, in general, is how the environment's perspective doesn't always match the character's movements or positioning. Its like watching a surrealist painting come to life.
I dig this music, it reminds me so much of philip glass!
"sEiZe HiM! 👹"
I like the fact that the people getting whipped and being like : "Ouch !! Uh Anyway.."
1:19
How it feels when ya smash a big toe between a door by acident.....
0:48 Haters gonna hate.
Man...wacky! That zig-zag has probably got the craziest walk cycle ever! His feet are all over the place!
The way Zigzag walk is making a zigzag from his hands
The way the carpet is being moved while Zigzag is walking reminds me of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2.
One nail started everything and one nail will finish it
I hope this isn't the Miramax Version
I hope it is the Recobbled Cut
I think it is the latter.
Henry Stanley I Think so too
you can tell from the quality of the animation, plus Tack is mute in the original
Miramax version has a lot of ad libbing and improv. Neither Tac or Thief are talking and in this scenario there were background characters talking in the Miramax cut.
its both
0:07 - 0:12 This just screams Moscow 1980 Olympic Opening Ceremony
Reminds me of Trump and his American regime.
@@levvy3006 oh shut up

@Gogorikiisthebest How? How does it sounds like it if it's set in Arabia and not Japan? Besides, I love how Zigzag's hands are rhyteming the beats of the drums when they're hit.
