How to Chain Stitch Small Pieces

Sewing small pieces can be tricky, especially right when you are getting your seam started. The edges can get caught in the feed dogs and it can be difficult to create a clean seam.
I have found chain stitching my small pieces helps keep them from getting caught in the feed dogs as I sew. As an added bonus, there is less thread clipping at the end!
