I feel like the 400 dollar mark is where flipping quality starts to plateau. Like brs stuff or sentinels really do feel like they’ve had flipping quality maximized. I’ve never gotten to flip a krake raken but it seems like such an amazing outlier in the market. Excited to get my hands on one eventually
Would be fun to try out an expensive one someday, I have a Heron Featherlight and Glidr Arctic and that's enough for me. If I ever get a grail it would be a custom from Heibel Knives, a trainer in damasteel and harpoon shaped blade.
Tbh I got my grail in early August. Jimpy Designs Sentinel just clicked for me in terms of pure look of design and heard so many great things about it. Flipping it only solidified my love for it! It's a grade B so it isn't cosmetically clean BUT as you say it's something meant to be used and I flip it almost constantly.
If money was no object, I would buy a Shinogi, then an EX10 and then quite a bit below that maybe on Orca or a V2 Monarch. The most expensive thing that I will probably ACTUALLY buy at some point is like a 5150 or a Sentinel. But the next things I’m buying are a beater trainer (Maybe Squid Trainer, not sure) and then probably a Kraken or a SlifT. Maybe a Maryn or Maryn Light, but it’s so far away I haven’t decided yet.
Do you think you could do a vid on how to get a balisong, what I mean is on some websites like squid, there knives sell out in like 8min cuz I recently missed out on the nautilus, but idk just somin I want to know
Those you basically gotta subscribe to their emails and get lucky, but there is other options; bbfirefly, different maxace things, I think there’s a list on the balisong subreddit

Hey I know you don’t know me but I only have a cheap trainer and am getting a bear and ops VIII in a couple of weeks but don’t have a decent trainer and I don’t want to cut myself. Any way I can buy a decent trainer from you and you can ship it? All respect and just wondering
ive only been flipping for about a year now and the vast majority of that has been with a squid trainer v3.5 so i dont have room to talk on how different it is flipping expensive knives but i can say that i still love that sqt and its still holding up beautifully and flips like a dream :)
Love the videos man. Since it’s Halloween and you work in the film industry you should make a video talking about any scary movies/shows you’ve worked on. And just in case you haven’t worked on any tell us a scary story that’s happened on set. Keep the great content rolling!
I am a beginner (currently flipping a 3d printed knife from thingiverse) and thinking about getting a better trainer. How much should I pay for my first good trainer, because I don't know if my budget should be 30€ or more like 100€. Great video btw!
i have very little experience with balis but if i had 100 euros i will say some things i'd look at a atropos spy 2 125 usd for trainer 165 usd live blade, but that's my opinion based more or less on looks, once i seen the pink team option i feel in love with it, but the only reason i would get it as a flipper eould be the titanium handles for cheap, pobably better to beat the shit out of it than aluminium but that's me, that's my opinion, look it up, look other people's opinions about it, reviews and whatever and based on that you can see if it's worth it or nah
@@landenle_vrandmore4350 do you think reddit is better than instagram to become more active in the community? i guess a better question is, what social platform is the community most active on?
Man I agree with you I own a osp matrix and I love it but at the same time I’ve only been flipping my serpent striker and a zephyr so why own it but the looks of it just pays off for me and the craftsmen ship is amazing, I wouldn’t recommend spending more then 500 on Bali’s, for that price you can get some amazing FLIPPERS if you want to spend more because you love the way it looks then go for it Bali-songs are a expensive hobby haha have a great day Will love your stuff. Definitely agree on the flipping aspect but build quality I disagree. Titanium holds up way better than aluminum. Especially if you plan to abuse it. They last eay longer than aluminum

Hey will! I have a question. Im trying to buy a balisong from atropos and you know atropos is in Russia. I live in the US(NA) and im just wondering how long will it actually take for the balisong to get here from Russia to the US.
I mean I dropped 1200 on a heibel custom due to the fact that I had a knife design that I wanted made for years and told myself one day I'll have it made so that I can carry it

If you break it down for a lot of the higher priced knives made by single makers, they often actually make less then minimum wage when you compare the hours spent making a knife vs the price.

We all love the krake raken, I want to know what we prefer. Tanto or Bowie?

Should i get a squidtrainer or a kraken? Whats a big difference between them
