This is no solicitor. This is a prowler casing your home for a break in or an invasion. When you see this type of behavior, call the police immediately. No legitimate salesperson or solicitor will case around a house. It is unprofessional and suspicious behavior.

Exactly same as what happened to me before, it happens couple times in just a few weeks from their first come.. they just open my gates and walk to the side of my house keep calling me.. its really make me feel irritated because i have small children that always plays by the pool..
i have a firearm but i know if i use that to intimidate an unarmed person things may turn south and im not really can hurt them with that to make them learn the lesson, it may get me in trouble if i do so..

The time has passed where it was normal obligation to "answer the door"-- in today's world, if someone is pestering your door, knocking or ringing, and you didn't invite them, best not respond, it seems. Anyone approaching uninvited has something in mind that is good for them and bad for you.

This guy was obviously casing the place, looking for an opportunity to make a score. I've seen this kind of predatory behavior on the part of these unsavory characters too many times before in too many different places, to be fooled into thinking that it's innocuous behavior. A legitimate solicitor would just knock or ring the doorbell once, wait for a short time and then move on. Spending this much time on one place, where the probability is that there is nobody home, is going to cost him more in potential sales lost for the houses that he won't have time to visit if he's for real as a solicitor.

I was staying in a ground-floor motel room on business in a small mountain town in Northern California. The room had a back door and I was up late and just after midnight, I heard someone sounding like they were trying to break in via the lock on the back door! I effing freaked and my gut instinct was to shout: "I don't know who you are but I have a gun! (I didn't have a gun)" Immediately I hear someone scramble over the back patio wooden fence (as if running for dear life). I suspect it was some local junkie who was used to being able to get in the room while vacant and use it to do drugs.

      Check THIS out!: ruclips.net/video/MbqiDrBVVyI/видео.html
I had intended to mention earlier but got sidetracked. I believe that the guy in your video was intending to pull a home invasion. He needed to be sure you would be home alone and have you on the other side of an open door. See, that way they can kick in the door, thereby using it as a weapon to knock the victim to the ground and, if the intended victim is armed, possibly knock a gun out of his/her hand. I NEVER even approach my door unless I am expecting someone. Even if you don't open the door and just ask "Who is it?", then they still know right where you are and if you don't have a security door, who knows...

Geoff Dearth you're absolutely right. I had recently started a job with a non profit and had coworkers who had to go door to door to talk to people about energy efficiency. I know how hard it can be so I tried to be open minded and answer the door. This was probably the first time I had ever answered the door for a solicitor and look what happened 😂😂😂😂

Scarlet Belle -idiot. No matter the skin color, he was persistent after being told "no" and returned to the property, and, uninvited, entered the back yard, which is trespassing. Would you be just fine with someone walking around your house, calling out for you to open the door when you already told them to leave? Idiot.

I would have called the police after the first 10 minutes...but when he went to the backyard...I would have calle# immediately....better up-close surveillance videos needed...get the photo of his face and better shots of the car...I guess it was the red one parked so u couldn't c the plates...plus a security fence and/or 2 large aggressive dogs like someone else suggested...I wish people would give updates on these type videos...we would love to know if there is anything came out if this...good luck...

Scarlet Belle doesn't matter the skin color. He was acting odd, you don't go all over a person's property to sell anything. It is wrong, specifically when he was told she didn't want any. So you have to think why did he come back? Why was he so desperate for her to answer the door. Women alone at home have been hurt by those posing as solicitors. So don't call people racist for seeing the danger in this. You don't know his intentions. Don't be all but hurt over it. And grow up.
