Overnight after the floods - brothers trip away. Fly fishing NZ

A neat trip away with my brother James with whom I've spent a great deal of time since we were young, hunting and fishing and generally getting into trouble. James is a very good spin fisherman and this is the trip where he fully realizes the grace, skill and beauty of fly fishing in an idyllic setting, albeit one ravaged by recent floods. Being only his fourth ever try at fly fishing he acquits himself very well and is casting/fishing beautifully by the end of the two days fishing. We landed about 25 total Brown trout and although the average size of @4lb was a little down on what we'd expected, still a wonderful trip away. He landed 9 fish and caught the biggest ones too! (mutter!)
