Stayed in the Highett Regency way back in the early 90's it was great then but it looks beautiful today. Walked past it many times on visits to Bali when it stood derelict for number years so pleased it has been brought back to life. The gardens look Fantastic even better Than they used to be.
Yeah they’ve done a really good job of modernising it and I think it’s quite popular because of it.

Loved my stays at Hyatt, its a beautiful resort and I love the rooms, especially the seperate toilet. The breakfast is amazing.
I think it’s a great hotel too. I actually really like the older hotels in Bali that still have character. Better of course when they’ve also been renovated to keep with the times. Hyatt has done a great job of finding the right balance.
@SanurDiaries yes they did a perfect blend for sure. Love the ducks that swim around the breakfast area too all in a row.

Yeah I love it. In Bali these days, land is at such a premium that most places can't afford so much space for greenery.
We stay there every time. Same room.
Magnificent grounds. Great gym and lap pool.

Love the Hyatt Regency. We are staying again for 7 nights in September. That will be our fourth visit this year. Pizzeria Restaurant is the best in Sanur.
Wow! Lucky you! It's such a great hotel and I agree that Pizzaria is one of the best in Sanur. There's just something about the location that gives off a beautiful beach vibe. Great food too.

Stayed at hyatt for 6 nights. Really great resort and loved it still had that old bali charm. Much better than the modern uber euro resorts that pollute the natural charm of Bali
Yeah it's old school Bali brought into the 21st century. It's really hard to do and get right. But the Hyatt does it really well.

Yeah it's one of the more expensive places in Sanur unfortunately. I'll try and get some reviews up of more affordable places in the future. What sort of price range do you think would be a good idea to focus on?

There are plenty in that price range and I will try and get some up in the next few months in that range. Swastika Bungalows and Swiss-bel seem to be favourites that commenters often mention.
