Just wanted to say I also found this video super helpful. We will be there for a month and a half this summer and some of the little things you mentioned were super helpful. (I watched it a second time with my wife) You guys could do a whole series like this about navigating different aspects of living there - how to get cellphone service, how to find an apartment and what to look for, how to find someone to fix things in your home, etc.
This video makes me want to move right now. I love it. Also can you do a video on the neighborhoods where the locals live? I would like to see houses and residential areas that are not infested with tourists. It seems like every Valencia video on RUclips is just about the city center. Thanks!
Great vid - fun to recognize all the local establishments I also enjoy. Thorough coverage. Every time I wondered, “will they include this tid bit?”… you did, even down to the recycling of batteries. 👍
Hi guys! Nice to run into you at the airport. Sorry for my hasty behavior in the taxi and breaking into your conversation, but I just had to say thanks for the very helpful info you guys provide with your channel. Really helped to live the Valencian life myself as well now for already about half year now. Muchos gracias and keep on the good work!
This is so helpful, thank you!! I am getting ready to move to Spain for 9 months for a study program. I spent 3 months there already last fall and really only went to Mercadona, Consum or the careforre express for groceries! Armed with this info, I feel more confident in venturing out to the bigger mercats and the asian stores. THANK YOU! Can't wait to go back!
I miss that Mercado Central. Love the meat, sea food, fruits and veggies. The apartment we stayed at was a short walk from Mercado and Colon Metro. Also spent an hour at the beach para magpa araw.
Perfect timing!! We just arrived in Valencia last evening (we're here for the next 3+ weeks). Now it's time to go grocery shopping so we can stock up our apartment. After that, I plan to watch your video on Las Fallas. 👍 Thanks for posting such great informative content! Maybe we can rendezvous for churros & chocolate sometime this month. 😋
Thanks for all the great information. We will be visiting Valencia in September and will be there for a month. We are staying in an Airbnb and will definitely put this information to good use. We’ve watched several of your videos and they are all very helpful. Looking forward to our visit.
This was a fantastic video you guys 🎉 So informative and helpful! We will be coming to Spain this summer and will be spending 2 weeks in Valencia so this video is exactly the content I’m looking for 👍🏼 Thanks so much and keep these fabulous videos coming 😊
I wish I'd watched this before I went into Charter. I figured out we need to bring our own bags but did not know about leaving bags at the front. I had a receipt but they still wanted me to pay for a bar of laundry soap I had a receipt for that I had just purchased at Spar! Thank God I had Google translate.
@@EverythingIsBoffo you get a new dog? Us too. If you see two PURE brand scooters flying around say hi. Rode from Turia to Port Saplaya this week. Daily at the oceanographic taking sun too. City is amazing.
As a Spaniard who lived in Valencia for years, it´s a very accurate of everything going on. The only thing I disagree with is the lack of coffee varieties: that only happens when you go to supermarkets such as Mercadona, well-known for giving you an extremely limited number of brands, prioritizintg their own; but go to Carrefour, Alcampo or even better, El Corte Inglés, and you´ll find a great variety, including many of the most well-known brands (and most expensive) from all around Europe. Same goes for beer... ;) Best!
@@EverythingIsBoffo No worries. Mercadona has become an Empire by making their "quality white brand" products a staple. But the fact is it´s probably THE worst place you can go if you want to find variety and the very best brands, simply because they have a phenomenal business based exactly in the opposite. That´s why I recommended El Corte Inglés, which is certainly more expensive, but it also has its own "cheap" white brand, on top of the very best brands in the market. It´s just not coffee or beers: it´s pizza, pasta, salads, cold meats, canned foods, wines, whiskey... you name it. Heck, ECI had "home made" foods like 25 years before Mercadona had them... :D Don´t discard Consum either: my favorite balance, when I lived there, among quality brands, and reasonable prices. Just make sure it´s a big store. Best!
@Everything is Boffo hiPaul Bea please what happened to FIFI? 😢Where is the video that deals with the loss! Your videos are incredibly informative. And Bea speaks Spanish, how great is that! 😊
i always look forward to your videos and have recommended your channel for NLV help... the only downside to your videos and most video channels is the constantly loud background music that has a lot of bass... so to listen to your dialogue, i put the volumn up and then have to reduce it because the otherwise the bass just shakes my house!! ok so i am joking about the shaking part but why is it necessary to always use such loud bass centered music?
Hi Richard, thank you for the support and feedback. We appreciate it! ☺️ I wanna figure out why it sounds that way to you, so you can fully enjoy our videos. When we edit we can see the actual levels of the music, so we know how to balance the sound. The music we chose didn’t have much bass on it. Do the videos sound all bass on your phone too? We tried watching on our speaker system and on phone and laptop and we don’t hear bass. Could it be your subwoofer is too high/loud? Hope we can figure it out! Let us know! Thanks again!
Definitely from the fruiterias. Not only are they cheaper but you don’t have to buy more than you need. I can buy 1 head of garlic, 1 onion, 1 lemon, etc. whereas supermarkets usually sell them in bags of 4.
MMmm chips. In Canada we have so much variety, there are now Filipino Adobo flavoured ones available lol, my mom was pretty disturbed by that. Looking forward to trying some in Valencia this summer.

It’s not far at all, maybe a 20-minute taxi or a 30-40 minute bus ride. We made a video of what you can do in Valencia in a day. March can be rainy sometimes, but not too cold, maybe 55-70F. Have a fun time! ☺️ ruclips.net/video/cTgIiQZuLwQ/видео.html
the port is adjacent to the huge and famous malva-rosa beach. there are many restaurants along the beach promenade, and that is the place to get paella. city center is not far, but a little far to walk. the beginning of Turia Park is also close to the port. right now it's 63 and sunny, so it feels even warmer.
