Moving is a big deal at the best of times, but moving internationally (and at such short notice) must have been a major upheaval for you, given that you had so little time to prepare. Why the need to leave so abruptly? I hope you find happiness whatever comes next.
It was quite a shock for us too, actually. The speed was the unfortunate combination of visa stuff and corona stuff, and the way those things came together.

What the moaners about immigrants fail to understand is the UK has very strict immigration laws, an inflexible and massive bureaucracy and a fine tradition of always promoting the most braindead and heartless Cabinet minister to the post of Home Secretary.
James To be fair,most countries immigration services are harsh..I have the same problems with Australian immigration.Compassion and empathy aren’t words in their vocabulary as it’s their job to do anything to keep you out unless you’re a required profession.😒

@@Steve10578 It is not the case that a child born in the UK is British. All that changed following the British Nationality Act 1981. It is much more complicated and depends on many other factors. I work in this area of law and deal with matters like this on a regular basis.
