Great video, very simple... I do have a Mares Quad (not the Air model) and this is like a refresh course for a not as often as I wish diver!!! The Quad has worked great to me so far, and the big nos. are a plus down there... Thanks a lot!

You are the first person to make sense of describeing how the buttons perform,,(no deco limits)does that mean time left at current depth which is displayed for instance 3minutes ndl start scent before 3min elapses....good job man for constructive videos.... keep them coming

Hello Albert. Oceanic makes great computers as well. Hopefully the Mares Quad will work good for you. Let me know if you ever have any questions.
Great video. I'm thinking of making the move to air integration. A bit hesitant to retire my SPG. Are they reliable in your experience?
Hello Ross Caruso, the great thing about air integrated computers, they have come a long way since the beginning. I trust them for all the different types of diving that I do. I primarily use them for Public Safety work and Salvage diving. This makes it easier for me during the documentation stage.
Awesome video keep putting them out also if you could do one for a scuba pro computer of the same type if possible. Also can you do a full face mask review. Thanks buddy love your work
Thank You, glad you liked it. I would be happy to do a walk through of a Scuba Pro Computer, but unfortunately we are not a dealer for Scuba Pro. YO Bryan! Did you have a chance to try the Mares Genius ????? OH Geez Rick... you gotta do a review on it, cuz it has so many more features than any other DC. Please !!!! u can pull up wreck info while diving, it has a auto detect air mix or something of the sort. and more, Im like woahhhhh, noticed they aired the trailer dec 2018. Cheers
We are using the new Genius now. We will be doing a review in the near future. Very similar to my old Icon. Much better battery life and charging port. So far I have 10 dives on it on a single charge with plenty to spare. Also, when I first received it, I brought it to a full charge and left it on my desk for 2 weeks to see how much it dropped. It still had 95% battery life. In comparison, I was only getting 3 to 4 dives on the Icon before it had to be charged and it dropped 4% battery everyday sitting on my desk. The new Genius is a vast improvement over the Icon. It is also bluetooth enabled but as of today it still will not link to the SSI app. SSI says they are working on it and should have it resolved in the near future. Then it will just need to update the firmware. Can't wait. Thanks for watching.

Tengo un ordenador de buceo Marca mares modelo Quad, el cual después de marcar mi para de seguridad (a 5 metros 3 minutos), y una ves que enpiezo el ascenso entre cuatro y tres metros me marca "Time Out" y un cronómetro regresivo de tres minutos (independiente de los tres minutos de la parada de seguridad), Sabes que significa ese parámetro? Gracias y espero me puedas ayudar. Victor Santos.
Hello @victorhugosantos2166, the count down timer you are seeing is the surface interval timer. With in the first three minutes, if you descend back down, the Quad computer will still count this as the same dive. If the three minutes times out, then the Quad will count the new descent as a new dive. Hope this helps.
Hola @victorhugosantos2166, El cronómetro de cuenta regresiva que está viendo es el cronómetro de intervalo de superficie. Si durante los primeros tres minutos vuelves a descender, el ordenador del Quad seguirá contando esto como la misma inmersión. Si transcurren los tres minutos, el Quad contará el nuevo descenso como una nueva inmersión. Espero que esto ayude.
Does this computer have vibration ability vs just audible for alarms?

Hello @janstastny8020, unfortunately, the log can not be erased, on the saturation information.
Does it have compass at all build in?
The Mares Quad does not, however, the Mares Genius and the Mares Matrix both do.

Do you know what is the actual range pod transmitter is workin underwater?
Meaning how far my son can be so I can still read his air preassure on my QUAD AIR?

The Mares LED Tank Transmitter has to be with in 5 feet of the Mares Quad Air for it to read the pressure. Also each transmitter will need to have a difference in Oxygen Partial Pressure for it to connect to different units.
Is there a code to erase the log on the Quad?
Try either 1234 or 0000
Hello. How I can switch gas in water?
Hello george vardakas, while the Quad has 3 different gas modes, you simply set each mode up before the dive, and it will allow you to switch through them at depth. You can also download the user manual from the Mares website that will walk you through these steps as well.
