- Earlier this year The RAF Yacht Club, asked us to shoot a promotional video about their club. A brave marketing move to open the doors of one of the UK's most famous yacht clubs in the search for new members. Based on the famous River Hamble, it's known as the friendliest yacht club on the south coast of England and you don't have to fly a Spitfire to join. If you're thinking of joining a yacht club or you're just nosey - then take a look at our latest video - you'll be surprised what happens behind the gates of the RAF Yacht Club. Or if you're at the Southampton Boat Show - you'll find them on Stand J148. Nice idea to have the young chap do the flag raising BUT a) very unsafe (and disrespectful) to have the flag trailing over the rear tyre and chain and b) the flag should have been tightly rolled before being raised - then unfurled by tugging on the halyard.
Should that not be Ensign. I raised the ensign many times over the years.
I couldn’t watch that young boy cycling as the flag could easily get caught in the wheel or chain and cause a very nasty injury…what on earth was someone thinking to get him to do that?
