American Ninja 1 & 2 and Avenging Force were my favorite movies as a kid. Michael Dudikoff and Steve James were the ultimate combo. You should totally review Avenging Force. That was supposed to be the sequel to Invasion USA.
You're a total lifesaver, I've been sick for a week and you guys have kept me laughing the whole time. This channel is GOLD. You may or may not know this but the villain dude is played by Marjoe Gortner. There's a documentary -- called "Marjoe" -- about his life at a career crossroads in 1972, as he was transitioning away from a life as a faith healing evangelist to straight up acting. Fascinating story.
I love how at 9:38 he was full on stabbing and the guy behind him was just like "I will wait my turn" instead of thrusting his sword into his back and helping his bro.
Loving these reviews, I grew up during the 80s & remember these ninja flicks, American Ninja 1 & 2 & Avenging Force are great Cannon B'movies. I recommend Revenge Of The Ninja, Pray For Death & Rage of Honor all starring Sho Kosugi & for a truly bad ninja flick 9 Deaths Of The Ninja which has be seen to be believed.
@@JasonBrant Don't forget Ninja 3: The Domination not really a sequel to anything, but another of the Sho Kosugi ninja movies and probably the craziest of the bunch
Sho Kosugi is AWESOME. I first saw him as the villain in "Enter the Ninja", starring Franco Nero(For those not old AF, he's the manager of the Rome Continental hotel in John Wick 2) and laughed my a** off watching him. "Enter the Ninja" is worth a view, BTW.
I used to love Cannon Ninja movies when I was like 10 yrs. old. And I can tell you I 100% watched them only for the fight scenes NOTHING ELSE. The "plot" did not matter what so ever. Good thing for me cause looking back there never was a coherent plot lol!
Glad I found this channel. This format is great, it reminds me of me and my friends watching movies, drinking beers, and laughing and talking sh*t about how ridiculous they are. Good stuff
I remember watching cannon films especially American Ninja 3 on a little tube tv in my Grandparents guest bedroom, Some network would showcase a whole afternoon block of kung fu movies and cannon films on Saturdays in the mid 90s, I would get so pumped as a 6 year old watching Ninja Movies imitating the characters. I miss those days when you could appreciate a dumb action movie without trying to have some deep storyline, all I wanted was karate, Explosions, and kickass one liners.
I wish Steve James was still around. He went way too soon sadly due to pancreatic cancer at age 41. He was actually going to play Jax in the first Mortal Kombat movie in 1995 before he died. He seriously was born to play Jax.
haha when the ninja's popped out and one of them goes "who are those guys?" i made me think of the movie "Real Men" with Jim Belushi and John Ritter. "Who are those clowns?" and they cut to guys dressed as clowns (literal circus/birthday party clowns) entering the scene like these ninjas. 2:46
Also, for the landing on the truck, why? Why land on the truck? why not land on the road the truck is driving on? I mean, it looks like they just stopped down the road for some nifty dialogue saying lets dump this thing and get going. I mean, yes it was a great stunt, don't get me wrong, but now all I can think of is Ryan George flipping thru his copy of the script and a min later saying "because" >:P
i think my fav part is when the hero kicks that medical tray to get to the bad guy lol. it was a convincing kick, it didn't seem choreographed and he just did it because he really was mad.
Spat my coffee out when you mentioned the square guy who should be delivering pizzas 🤣 You should have a watch of the Hoff playing Nick Fury. Love the channel 👍
When I saw Marjoe I almost soiled myself! How in the world did they con him into this? :))) And if you don't know who Marjoe is....wikipedia it at once. He's the greedy, conning televangelist who came out. Stunning story really.
Review Ringing Bell. It looks like it's for kids but it's not,it's just crazy and traumatizing for any kid who saw it and thought it was gonna be light hearted. I wanna see your guys reaction to that lol
All the movies you watch are the movies my brother and I rented over and over in the 80’s and early 90’s. We thought they were the best movies ever when we were 10. Lol.
Please make more of these "good-bad" episodes. And of course I have seen all the American ninja movies :-D . They are made by Canon the film studio that released the majority of Chuck Norris movies. If you guys like these kind of "no-brainer" action movies make sure to consider Revenge of the ninja from 1983!
Marjoe Gortner!!! He was a fire and brimstone Pentecostal tent evangelist before he became an actor. One of his first roles was as a sex pervert in "Earthquake" 1974, lol.
Got to say first 2 films are awesome fun this one is a so bad it's good guilty pleasure for me I admit I miss cannon films thanks for talking about cannon movies 👍
I use to have this on VHS, including first and 5th movie. Use to watch them a lot. Oh you gotta check out NINJA 3: DOMINATION, it's one of the weirdest ninja movies out there. Ninja 1 (think it's called Enter the Ninja) is actually quite fun b movie, I think it started the whole ninja craze in 80s. Ps. This is Cannon film, they would often come up with "script" on the spot. This is why lot of the dialogues and scenes made no sense as they were literally just bunch of random scenes, so they would write new dialogues and plot points in post production, and they would hire an actor to do the dub the new lines, so scenes at least somewhat line up and not look like bunch of random scenes but appear that there's some semblance of plot.
@@JasonBrant Ninja 1-2 are campy action movies with Ninjas. Nothing too crazy. Then Ninja 3 happens, it rips off Exorcist. It makes sense if you don't ask too many questions.
A great, bad but fun movie would be Bangkok Adrenaline. It's a bunch of stunt men who can't act made a cheesy action movie. Might be worth checking out.

Oh my fuuudge I am super excited about this! "phht..Ninjas...not again, " may be the most underrated line in video history
I love how Dave, almost vertical in his chair, completely recalls the plot and how the ninja are being used as bait.
That blew my mind.

Part 2 I remember fondly, my cousins and I eat this up as 6 and 7 yr Olds lmao
Facts I love 1&2 I was a kid watching it on channel 11 Sunday movies and death wish 3
Avenging Force is amazing and required viewing if you love anything Cannon Films ever distributed.
AN 1 and 2 are so the GOAT 80s ninja lore
I'm so glad this channel is alive again, love you guys!
We're glad to be back. We missed ya!
Revenge of the Ninja 🥷
I always love how color coded ninjas are in 80s movies. That one in blue looked like he was wearing a corporate logo.
Ninja wardrobes are on point.
You should see the Pierre Kirby ninja movies. You get a rainbow of ninjas. Pierre Kirby is the pink ninja
Big hair, double denim, cheesy lines, low budget 80s straight to vhs ... love it.🤣

Ninjas working in broad daylight, out in the open, casually running through groups of people who take no notice of them, despite their ninja garb...
I love how at 9:38 he was full on stabbing and the guy behind him was just like "I will wait my turn" instead of thrusting his sword into his back and helping his bro.

Steve James was a great actor to watch in these types of movies. I hate he died so young
