The Active Hope Foundations Training is an online learning resource designed to nourish your capacity to make a difference in the world. It is a seven-week course that is free of charge and that you can start at any time, with a new instalment of videos released each week for seven weeks. Participants can take as long as they want to complete the training. We would, however, suggest following the 7 week schedule, if you can, as this generates a momentum that can be really supportive of positive change.
As well as the videos, each weekly instalment will include a guided exercise so that you can start to practice Active Hope within your own life.
Practicing Active Hope supports us to be with all that is going on in the world and to find our own sense of meaning and purpose. At a time when many are dealing with anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, suffering from depression, or feeling lost in life, active hope training can help us become more engaged, encouraged, enlivened and empowered.
The Active Hope Foundations Training can be used by people by themselves, or in the company of others, either one to one or in groups, or can be used as a supporting resource for active hope groups/courses.
Whatever it is that concerns you: environmental issues; social issues; racism; world poverty; climate change; gender inequality, or any other issue that you would like to make a difference in, the Active Hope Foundations Training can support you to find your purpose, and play your part.
The course is produced and presented by Chris Johnstone, co-author of Active Hope, with contributions from a range of guests that include Joanna Macy and Molly Young Brown.
ActiveHope.Training (CIC) is a UK based non-profit organisation producing resources to support positive change.

Wow thanks for creating this material! is it necessary to have read the book before taking the course?

Hi Regina, no the video-based course at @t works by itself. You don't need to have read the book - though they are complementary, each containing elements the other doesn't have, while offering the same core framework and some of the same practices.
