Most probably game's plot will bedifferent as in previous series. Honestly the game wouldn't be that interesting if it followed the books plot. I've read the whole trilogy, it's great but such story wouldn't make an entertaining game.

Yes! Metro one of my all time favorite worlds! That being said, this entry seems to reverse an element of the Metro formula. Metro and Metro:LL made above ground feel far more dangerous than the tunnels, and rightly so. Tunnels were dangerous, but above ground was practically fatal, due to the unbreathable air, and overwhelming fauna. Will this be the first Metro that has a hospitable above ground environment? Will we arise from the metro, unable or unwilling to return to the fascinating and dank underplace? Will Metro Exodus aspire to the open worlds of Fallout? I actually kinda hope not. Metro was an important departure from the wasteland survival norms we see today. Here's to hoping it hasn't lost its identity to homogeny.
agree. I think they've skipped a bit too far in the worlds timeline for it. Maybe for the 4th game, have the 5th be more about securing the Metro and bringing some stability and finding out the world could be resettled.

The games were following the books timeline, somewhere loosely, somewhere strictly but the last book of the series (!spoilers!) is about how Artyom is spends more and more time in the surface and finally how he leaves the metro and Moscow. So the games have to follow this and after two games of hiding in the tunnels we have to say that this change brings a lot of life to the series. Also the open space gives a lot of freedom to the developers.
Not read 2035, but if you read 2033 it's clear that the writer didn't intend for Last Light type story for Artyom. Part of the last book was the writer finishing his view for him. I think he's also now left the series to Deep silver, which is a shame as I enjoyed the first book so much.

Ничего нереалистичного там нету, просто нам более привычны пост-советские декорации, а не американские. Реалистичности как раз в фолаче гораздо больше нежели в метро или сталкере. Как минимум в поведении людей и общества. И да я говорю в основном про Фолач 1-2 и отчасти Нью-вегас, остальные - идиотизм.

When I played through and got to this part I was expecting everything to flow naturally (like is this gameplay preview) but it just goes to show that you can't expect what you see, especially from a first showcase. It's still a great game though and I recommend it to anyone out there interested in a true post apocalyptic series.

Artyom is out on the Surface one day, and is attacked and nearly killed, but saved by Khan , who tells him "Boi, why you still in Moscow? Go East ya Doofus!"
so the surface is breathable now (hopefully not all of it) and the under ground is toxic make sense since the majority of the game will probably take place above ground. i hope we see new extreme weather like radiation storms from fallout 4. and since the game seems to have followed the good karma ending from last light we may see more of the dark ones. and i sure that was Anna at the end, so i guessing you will have a young son.

I love metro, but the surface should be a barren snowy wasteland, and the main part of the game should be underground. In the metro...either way, I hope this game is as amazing as it looks!

Gluty Max fallout was never the norm. It was the first of its kind. The first one came out in the 80's the first metro was made in the 2000's
One hell of a narrative, this is one of the best stories you’ll ever play.
